Is Matt Drudge the second most influential man in America?

... In many ways, I deplore the influence of Matt Drudge, but in the meantime, would someone send this piece to Drudge and maybe he will post it (wink, wink)?
The good and bad of it. Mainstream media hates him, but may be able to push him out of the way eventually.

FCC Commissioner: Feds May Come for Drudge

We think the Drudge Report is having a disproportionate effect

Here's the right link (no spaces): FCC Commissioner: Feds May Come for Drudge

This has absolutely nothing to do with net neutrality - in fact, it is just the opposite. With net neutrality, service providers are NOT allowed to discriminate because of content.

Wait - is the OP suppose to be a joke? Sometimes it's hard to tell.

Wasn't this the guy who said that the new FCC rules were a couple hundred pages long? And they weren't.

Looking back, I may be misremembering things a bit...
Maybe not - that isn't just the regulation but a full discussion of the order, including the history, fully foot-noted.
The document also describes a growing trend of media companies such as HBO decoupling their content from cable TV subscriptions.
It also includes the dissenting opinions of Commissioner O'Rielly and Hero Pai.

It is not just the actual rules. Far from it.

Right. Like it said, a 313 page order and 87 pages of discussion

Wrong. If you read the order, the overwhelming majority of it is discussion about the history of the issue and, the concerns that citizens have raised about it, and the reasoning behind the FCC's decision. The 87 pages are dissent from two of the commissioners.

Back when Pai first declared that the rule was 300+ pages, the understanding/assumption amongst the public (myself included) was that he was talking about 300+ pages of new laws, like the kind you'd see from congress, which are all legalese and contain no discussion whatsoever. People started getting freaked out, fearing that this was going to be some sort of new, massive government plan. Subsequently, one of the senior counselors at the FCC tried to dispel that by tweeting that the new rules only constitute 8 pages, and the rest of the document is discussion:

I haven't been able to find a document that contains just the rules, but having looked over the full order, that seems about right.
