OP: There is a "light at the end of the tunnel" but I doubt that you will find that light in the direction you are seeking.

Feelings and thoughts grow in strength when we feed them our intentional attention and mental energies, such as with feelings of fear, repulsion, attraction or other delusions. Learn to do the opposite (ignore them without responding to them when they manifest, with either fear or attraction - I recommend jhanic meditation) and these demons will progressively grow weaker from a lack of attention on your part. Also, look into enemas to clean out mind-controlling parasites from your digestive system.
Not bad advice.

I can try that. I'll just need to remember that when these thoughts come, it'll pass.

"Mind-controlling parasites" actually take up residence in the brains of animals, where they can control the behavior, rather than the digestive system where they can't do squat in terms of mind control.

So please, no, don't just randomly take enemas unless you actually need them to clear out blockages. Plus, enemas don't kill parasites in the digestive system. You need to take an anti-parasitic drug (depending on what parasite is involved) to kill them off. The best an enema would do would flush a lot of dead parasites out. Live ones would hang on or be embedded into the intestinal wall, otherwise they'd be pooped out by normal bowel movements.
The gut is considered our second brain. I think most people experience many strong emotions (e.g. fear) in our guts, for example. Coffee enemas "may be directly toxic for the parasites, or the enema may just help loosen them and remove them from the body. The coffee enema also reduces liver toxicity and promotes extra bile secretion that weakens many parasites"

Exactly ... there's a part of you which knows things (the "knower," your true self). The knower can either choose to get entangled in the thoughts and feelings produced by your brain and to get more deeply trapped, or the knower can ignore them and progressively disentangle itself free from them. It's like the chinese finger trap.

What do you think of the universe's energy vibrations? Are they transcendent?

Actually there are some parasities that can for lack of a better word control their hosts brains. I know of none that do so in humans most parasites that get into our brain simply kill us.
They don't have to get into your brains ... even in our second brains (gut), if there's enough of them, their combined activity can potentially push a person to feel or think in a certain way. But, they do not control our knower, which can push back if it should awaken to its potential and thereafter choose to do so.

Sometimes the truth comes out.

Well yea, but we're amongst them and not the other way around. It's their house and they could just as easily ban us all for being hellbound sinners. I'm grateful that they're willing to allow such a diverse religious online community and govern it well.

The least we can do is not go into their house and light their curtains on fire for not being a particular color we like.

This OP is just another example of the mental harm that can come from religion. Disgusting.

OP, I hope you can find some peace in your life.
Thank you

But I got to tell you something. I really appreciate you for being empathetic. And I hope you don't hate me saying this. But if you do, that is just something I have to deal with.

The problem is not religion or God. The problem is me, and the sin in me. God is never going to let me live comfortably in sin. And you know what? I am grateful. He loves me too much to let me be in a gay relationship. He loves me too much to let me lie, steal, and lust; and be comfortable in these sins. He is not going to take my fears away until I consistently come to him for mercy.

God is a God of justice. But he is also a God of mercy. It isn't God I should be afraid of, it is sin. It is sin that would condemn me. For Paul writes "the wages of sin is death." It would not be God's fault if I end up in hell. And I was wrong for thinking that.

Did you know God delights in giving mercy to anyone that calls on the name of Jesus?

And did you also know that God has no desire to throw anyone into hell? But he has no choice.

James writes "mercy triumphs over judgment." God prefers to show mercy. But he only shows mercy to those who call on the name of Jesus, His Son; not just one time but consistently calling on his name day and night. And that's my problem, I don't call on his name consistently.

Now, I am not trying to convert anyone. I am just saying this is what I believe my problem.

I am glad you seem to lean farther away from being afraid of God and more towards being afraid of sin in saying this, at least, if you must be afraid of something.

And remember that you yourself just quoted Romans 6:23, that the wages of sin is death. So it won't be God's fault if you die the second death, no. .... But there is a profound difference between death and a conscious spirit realm of torment. Remember that. They are not synonymous no matter what some might try to harp on from the pulpit to put more fear of God into you than is healthy.

You're doing better it seems, Cedric. You keep on trusting in the Lord to help you overcome your sinful tendencies, and focus less on fear of the wages of sin, and I'm sure you will feel more free of them and also feel closer to God, to where you may even find "hidden things" of Him.

Stop that, King Grim. He's just trying to be honest, here. And it sounds like you are just mocking someone who sincerely wants to improve their faith and is having a difficult time of it. (And I would say this whether that faith is Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, or otherwise; not just being partial because I am a believer in Christ, too. A man has a right to believe what he chooses when he means no harm to anyone else with it.)

Sorry

I did not mean to do that.

I do believe there will be a day of great judgment and wrath, and Christ is the only one who can save us from that wrath. But remember, I believe this for myself. I am in no way trying to get people to believe what I believe. Only God can draw people to His Son. So I will leave that up to Him.

I'm not mocking him or at least not intentionally.

I understand he wants to improve his faith. But he seems to think that God is torturing him and hard. And he's taking this all as his fault. His trying to lift a boulder that he isn't even pinned under. He feels like his soul is being crushed and he's to blame. That's concerning.

As someone who has had similar issues in the past I'm trying my best to be empathetic. My best advice is literally blank your mind. Create a happy place filled with the positive things you love about yourself. You can recite these negative mantra like descriptions of yourself and convince yourself you're somehow a vile piece of scum. Then guess what you can certainly do the opposite.

You sound like a bright kid and I'm guessing you do art. If not, then adopt a form of expression. Start writing, drawing, sing to yourself. Stop keeping these feelings inside of you. They're dying to be expressed in some way. You'd be surprised how beautiful pain can be.

Look at something I've drawn (I'm not the best, but serviceable lol)

Get someone to talk to, not a forum of people on the interwebs (because you're gonna run into me x1000) and we're gone when you log off. I mean a real person you trust.

I'm telling you this because you sound 100% like me about a 8 years ago. I caged up everything and thought I was wretched and deserved hell, disgusted with myself for no real reason. It drove me crazy. I don't like hearing about people feeling that way. So I give them the same advice I gave myself. It worked.

Be the hero you need. And before I get accused of it, I'm not trying to lead you away from God. I'm trying to lead you to that intrinsic happiness; the love for ourselves we all seek.

Cedric, this is what you're really saying: "God created me as a homosexual who would inevitably experience lust, but He loves me so much, He's going to forgive me for the very design he gave me in the first place if I make the right propitiations." You're calling Him merciful because He might forgive you for something that's His fault! Well, you should expect Him to!
