Today we celebrate the memorial of Saint Raymund of Peñafort. He is the Patron Saint of individuals who study and work in Canon Law. Raymund was born in a noble family that descended from Barcelona and Aragon royalty. He was born in 1175 at Peñafort in the region of Catalonia, Spain. As a child and adolescent, he was so gifted as a student that he was teaching Philosophy in Barcelona by the age of twenty...

Some Saints are so obviously superior people in every part of their lives. Our saint of the day is a good example. I would like to accomplish in my whole life what he accomplished in just one year of his. And then to think he lived to 99, oh boy.

I'm just glad God loves me in spite of myself. I have compared myself to Saints & just everyday believers & always feel I fall miserably short. Lord have mercy.
