I haven't posted on here for awhile. Truth be told I was looking for a Secular Humanist forum to post on but remembered I was a member on here and decided hence this post. My profile I tried to change all the whatnot but w/e I forgot how not worth the time.

Anyhow, I decided and seen through pure strain of effort that the road of life sealed forth by Christ or "God" is the path to permanent insanity and the desire to burn for an eternity is way less taxing.

I don't fear death or any possibility of such things occuring as I know my being will return to the ether free within the essence of all things. In addition, a release from the corporeal realm I was cursed to physically roam in for whatever remainder number of years.

To the point, I am a Secular Humanist and have been for awhile now. It is the best option I have seen so far as to be able to put into perspective what I am. To that end, I need some information as to how best negate the Christian influence and dogmatic bs I have been exposed to my entire life that have taken root.

I have found to be able to convince myself of my true mode of action helps spruce up the process. The power belief has on the mind backed by strong emotion brings with it increased intellectual awareness that shatters the borders of impossibility.

To establish this continuously, relentlessly until the end result is realized. As a Christian there was no real understanding what the true power the mind has. Lead as sheep to the slaughter.

I'll make you a deal, in your quest for renewal and change, growth and truth, id like you to challenge someone who understands exactly how you feel (this guy) to either prove you wrong, or The Bible right.

i know this isn't exactly what your looking for, and I'm not trying to devolve your request into anything negative.
but i would love to address every and any argument you have against The Word, or Christ, or Christianity.

maybe you can influence me, maybe i influence you. either way you stand to lose nothing, and who knows what we might gain :)

so give it a shot, challenge me to provide an adequate, logical, rational, even scientific answer to any question.

What true power the mind has?

I have seen plenty of the power of the mind and yet I chose humility and honesty for I am one of those pitiful souls whom sin has nearly destroyed. I hang onto Jesus as a man would hang onto a life raft in a stormy sea. I pray that you never get into such failure in life as mine, yet I also pray that you would know the peace and your own weakness from knowledge of God through Christ (an abundance of knowledge is able to help you see your lacking state, this is actually healthy). I had an abundance of knowledge of sins (very immoral sins) before I realized that things were out of control. I knew that God was real (for some reason, I always did) and so I asked him to help me. Knowing evil as to desire good isn't a good choice, but it was my part in life. Following God isn't so easy as just knowing that he is real and exist (I don't exactly know how I knew, just always have). I try to follow him through his son Jesus. I now know of the importance of believing in Jesus. I know this the hard way. It seems the closer that I get to death, which isn't that far off now, the more comfortable it is in its coming. I am indebted, so the balance sheet is in my favor, but I owe God so much.

You are young and out on your own. I wish you good will and fortune, but the world isn't that straight forward. I don't know how far you are off of the radar in a real war between evil and good. You do know that there are very evil and good people. I hope that you have at least obtain this simple knowledge. There is a war seen ever present on the Earth between two forces. If you are on the enemy's radar, you will experience a form of hell or dislikes hard to deal with. To look around and not see things that are not quite right with peoples, cultures and their beliefs & ideologies because of their excessive violence, hatred, lack of compassion & little peace, then you haven't realized much of anything yet.

As I live my years, my mind collects info as either true of false. Over time, if I actually did my homework in the puzzle pieces' life long identification process, these pieces would form wisdom or knowledge for my benefit. I have found it curious and very interesting what forms as pictures over a lifetime. Religions, pursuits, identities, behaviors, egos, etc, and the impossible questions are all clear as time goes on. Since God is truth, your answers and knowledge & wisdom is coming from him. It is sometimes amusing at the conclusions and realizations of life. Outside of God, things are quite predictable. Human nature and it weaknesses, especially the mental powers ones, just run along the least path of resistance.

You are young and clever. Just don't hamper yourself with close-mindedness about the things that you got born into. I tell my young son to think before he speaks to be more thoughtful, wise and careful. He is only 8 years old. He is so full of words, not dividing truth from a lie, or be it imagination from fact. Youth has benefits, but we get ripe in our old age for a purpose. Let us not get rotten, instead, filled with barriers and biasness. Let us get the wisdom and its sweetness of life by being open minded, honest, very slow to anger, seeking answers to life, having the best of being human (kindness & compassion) and willing to think & imagine. God allows us total freedom. I am really impressed with him. I love science and creativity. I guess I am like Him in these ways.

May you do well in your life and find what it is that you are looking for and may blessings come always (especially those from our Lord, whether we want them or understand them or not).

you really are correct, and i completely understand what your saying. im o board with you. but i dont think the way or manner of saying what you have will actually help make him or anyone my age listen.

theres a difference between seeing the truth and accepting it. if you really and truly want someone to see the truth of what your saying, you have to lead them into realizing it for themselves. otherwise they resent you and disregard what you have to say, even when your right.

To establish this continuously, relentlessly until the end result is realized. As a Christian there was no real understanding what the true power the mind has. Lead as sheep to the slaughter.

Actually, the key to unraveling the full power of the mind is in the Bible (a small portion of it since the Bible is not really infallible).

But little children already know it before they read the Bible which they later on will forget due to worldly values forced to them by adults.

It is simply not preached in churches because the concept contradicts the materialistic Christian dogmas.

It's actually there in plainsight which materialistic Christians (most of them anyway) couldn't see.

Materialsm and vanity (which includes ritualistic worship) is how the devil had fully infiltrated Christian churches to kill true spirituality and replace it with something fake (stuffs like slain in the spirit, babbling in tongues, all fake, and possibly evil possession)

Of course the Muslims will also claim Islam is the perfect religion...

I actually believed the Bible is infallible for more than 20 years.

But I also happen to be an astute observer. And only the teachings of Jesus passed the test of real life application. Many of the old testament and apostolic teachings failed.

Only Jesus is speaking sensibly, the rest of the Bible could be regarded as wishful thinking and inferior wisdom of man.

that is only plausible if either God is fallible or The Word is errant. but there are sound reasons to believe The Word is truly The Word of God, and the Gods character is infallible.

if you watch the entire video, and part two, you should at least be able to consider the plausibility that it is sound doctrine.

To establish this continuously, relentlessly until the end result is realized. As a Christian there was no real understanding what the true power the mind has. Lead as sheep to the slaughter.

Then you never truly understood the calling. You are right. Wallowing in the old nature, the flesh is much easier to do. You are married to it and you can have no part of Messiah unless you divorce your old nature, place it on the alter and kill it by sacrificing it. To seek to become the bride whilst still married is adultery. You serve one of two.

At your age I felt somewhat similarly. I never fell away from believing the truth. The truth is that Yeshua is the promised Messiah. The truth is he came and gave a better understanding of the Torah and showed us how to live it by walking uprightly in all aspects of it. He openly, plainly declared that he did not come to abolish the law (Torah)

Today the "church" has taught "christians" that the Law is null and void. It has produced inert "christians" whose lives are void of righteousness because in ignorance they walk in rebellion against G-d's decree's. They have no power because the are carnal and walk according to the flesh instead of walking in the spirit.

They have not "picked up their cross" and followed Yeshua.... where is he leading? To Golgotha to die. You either live in Egypt or Israel. Egypt will be destroyed and all those in it...

I can't, I have poor banwidth quality.

I guess you just have to trust that in all those 20 years of me believing the infallibility of the Bible that I watched tons of subject matter experts proving the infallibility of the Bible.

I could only appreciate the skills and talents of these eloquently-delivered speeches.

But reality cannot lie. People aren't fiercely divided over cooking recipes because they know what works and what not. People aren't divided over the rules of American Football because it's clearly laid out.

People are **extremely good** at following instructions. With that ability, we have built massive machines that fly much faster and much farther than any creature, carry hundreds and do this thousands of times without fail (on average).

People have done massive feats of engineering that is simply quite impossible with conflicting ideas. The results of real life triumphs in the end. Chaos and disorder is not entirely man's nature.

Do perfect instructions produce imperfect results?? If you answered "YES" then you might want to think about that everytime you fly in a plane ;)

So how do we know the op comes from someone young? Searching, that I can read in,
reaching out to communicate, yes. And this part of the forums is probably the most interesting
to investigate.
May I ask why the title 'secular humanist'? Getting away from dogmatic stuff one would not want to wear any tag. So if religion isnt needed, just ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you.
Grace works! Then you can have a mind at rest in all truth. Its an awesome thing.

Thank you for your comments.

This generation has a lot to decipher from political misinformation to the harsh realities of today's evils. They probably just give up to the task and accept one of the majority thoughts, leaving the Gospel as a myth or superstition or accepting it beyond the way that it was given.

Is it our job to lead people into accepting Christ or should we be just speaking the Gospel hoping that there will be seeds sprouting and making their way to our faith? Is it my wishful thinking to be just a gardener of willing pure seeds of God's? It seem futile to try to alter hearts which resist the Word. It would be an accomplishment though. Thank you for sharing.
