How disturbing and moving at the same time......
I definitely think Israel should take a leaf out of hamas book wooing the media these days is a valuable tool!! Social media is dangerously under used when it comes to Israel smh....

What I saw was quite inconclusive regarding the whys and wherefores of this particular set of tragedies but it was clear that there was widespread destruction in this Shuja'iyah district of Gaza.

There was a lot of anger against Arab countries which might explain the pro-Iranian Hamas sympathy of the Palestinian voters. There was also a desire for vengeance which grows deeper with every tragedy. This is a people who shout loudly about their pains and who reinforce the sense of victimhood that each of them feel by the ways in which they speak to each other.

Since this desire for vengeance when acted on will only bring more destruction it seems these people are caught in a self defeating downward spiral. They fire rockets on the Israelis trying to kill them. The Israelis respond and Palestinians die. They then try again to kill Israelis , the Israelis respond and Palestinians die. Maybe the Palestinians should stop training their kids to throw rocks at heavily armed soldiers and maybe then they will stop dying.

I really hope that you didn't watch that video before saying that. Otherwise you seem to be a heartless person.

Anyway, throughout the video you could hear them saying, "Allaah (alone) is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs (for us)."

Regardless of how the world feels about them, all they need is God and His Pleasure.

Wooing the media? They're just showing the reality that has been their lives since the creation of Israel. Just because people chose to believe Israel's lies does not mean that what's happening now hasn't been taking place for decades. But finally the facts are coming to light and more people who were otherwise silent are outspoken about Israel's atrocities today than any other time I can remember. Most mainstream media is still mainly pro-Israel (or scared to go against Israel).

Hamas? This footage is taken by your average, non-combatant Palestinians (or humanitarian workers or journalists).

Israel under-uses social media? They are masters at spinning stories to portray themselves as victims just "defending" themselves. They invested a lot of time and effort into figuring out just how to be good (obviously lying) spin doctors.

What's also interesting is the fact that Israel has to pay for people to tweet about it favorably. However, even with all that:

Israel attacked Palestine first (as it so often does) and frames it as only defending itself when Palestine inevitably retaliates. They use the exact same arguments that should really be used by Palestinians and not Israelis. I don't even get how the occupier/invader gets to claim self-defense to the world in the first place.

That's usually the case but social media is slowly turning the tide. It's showing the reality of Palestine instead of feeding the people pro-Israeli/Zionist lies & demonizing the Palestinians.

Mainstream media, even, has no choice but to slightly condemn Israel with all of this information (still pro-Israel bias, though). I mean, even Piers Morgan said "Enough" to Israel after it shelled a UN school that it had the exact coordinates of.

Diane Sawyer showed a picture of the destruction in Palestine and claimed the family and a woman standing among the ruins was Israeli. ABC apologized after social media went crazy #TweetLikeABC.

Fox news also showed a picture of Palestine and claimed that was the aftermath of an attack in Israel.

NY times changed the headline from "Four Young Boys Killed Playing on the Beach" to "Boys Drawn to Gaza Beach, and Into Center of Mideast Strife." This sparked mockery of it through the hashtag #NYTHistory. Examples include, "Rosa Parks drawn to public transport and into center of American racial tensions." #NYTHistory" and "Native people drawn to pale bearded guys off boats, into center of unprecedented attempts at annihilation" #NYTHistory

This isn't the first time NYT changed its headlines in favor of Israel.

NBC framed the current massacre in Gaza as Hamas firing rockets and Israel responding (when it is Israel that started this all).

Your reaction isn't surprising to me either.

What you are neglecting to address is the fact that Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel just 90 minutes into a 72 hour cease fire.

Instead of condemning Hamas for violating the cease fire, you condemn Israel for reacting to a dishonorable attack (but then I guess it's okay for Muslims to lie to "infidels" if it furthers one's cause).

I feel sad for the families that lost children, but I'm not going to condemn the Israelis for acting in self-defense.

The fact that the Palestinian casualties are much higher than Israeli casualties, has to do with the fact that Israel values the lives of their civilians more than their missiles (which is why they are using Iron Dome), and Hamas values their rockets more than the lives of Palestinian Children.

I'm going to be blunt about this, if Israel really wanted to kill Palestinian Children, there would actually be fewer Israeli casualties. They could completely level Gaza (literally) in the matter of hours, the reason this fight is taking as long as it is, is because the Israelis are trying to avoid killing civilians while taking out Hamas.
