I don't know. And I don't much care either. If it is, it'd be a sensational addition to any museum that gets its hands on it.
But that's about it.

This. The Ark, the Temple, etc were shadows that pointed to Jesus Christ. There would be no spiritual significance for us as Christians if the Ark were discovered.

Uh, yeah.

John: "I saw no temple"

Rev 11:19 - And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

Rev 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.

John didn't see a temple in the New Jerusalem. However in heaven right now there is a temple where Christ is finishing His work.

Obviously some still are not getting the message:

John 2:21
But he spake of the temple of his body.

Did that temple go to heaven?

Uh, yeah.

Revelation 21:22
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

ALSO, while we are on the subject, twas no mere ark in the desert with the Israelites that came out of Egypt:

Acts 7:
44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus

There are some basic RULZ that good theology students have to stick to in order to not wander astray in strange understandings...and really, it's only ONE RULE/ONE RULER.

John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

IF anyone has any difficulty understanding any scripture, they simply have to refer to The Author Himself and things instantly clear up, considerably.

People who see 4 walls and a roof temples are locked out from understanding Rev. out the gate because they do not SEE HIM as THE TEMPLE, even though it's right there to see.

Obviously there are more interesting sights to be had with all of those interesting matters from there...you know, all that SMOKE and stuff coming out of the TEMPLE....

Psalm 18:
6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

When entering into spiritual understandings, other doors will open from Above. In trying to pin Jesus down in strict literal terms, those doors remain LOCKED, and rightfully so. For those who see, they will be steered away from false understandings and false teachers.

It speaks of a time when they will say no more "the ark of the covenant of the Lord" neither visit it etc

Jerm 3:15-16 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD,
they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

.
The RCs must have missed that memo :)

The Ark will end up with God the Father...

I'll give you a dollar if you look into it! :p
I think it is see-through; you can see the background through the right corner. Mind you, I doubt that anybody really would claim it is the real ark of the covenant from ancient times :)

19 And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the Lord, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

20 And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? and to whom shall he go up from us? 1 Sam 6:19-20

Scripture
Revelation 11:19-12:1 KJV
(19) And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
(1) And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
The Ark of the testament is the woman clothed n the golden light of the sun standing on the silver of the moon and crowned with the 12 stars (which can be interpreted as the 12 tribes Israel and the 12 apostles of Christ whose names appear on the 12 foundation stones of the new Jerusalem).

I reckon you like the book of Revelation, my friend, because you so frequently use the letters to the seven churches in your posts.

I thought the ark was in an Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Ethiopia ;)
I am skeptical of that ;)

The Ethiopian Church believes to guard it. :| Chapel of the Ark of the Covenant - Axum, Ethiopia
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church has it, but that's just me.
No one is allowed to see it except the high priest. Not even the Ethiopian president.

The Ark of the Covenant at Axum cannot be seen by anyone but the High Priest of Axum, an elderly and especially holy monk who is charged with its care and preservation for life. He cannot leave the small yard that surrounds the chapel, and he is expected to name his successor on his deathbed. The present custodian with this privilege and burden is named Abba Tesfa Mariam.

The authors of the abovementioned books on the Lost Ark were unsuccessful in their attempts to gain access to the relic. In fact, not even the Ethiopian president is allowed to see it. The Ark used to be taken out on a procession once a year, but due to the recent war and tensions in the area, it remains locked in its shrine full-time.
One recent British explorer was told that these restrictions are for his own safety, for "if I approached the Ark I would be punished - the theory is that would become invisible and unleash upon me its terrible power - I would be killed outright, probably incinerated." He was told that even seeing one of the blessed replicas placed in all Ethiopian churches could have this effect

I know there are a few accounts of the OT Hebrews dying who tried to touch, or gaze into the ark, who were not levitical priests. Others believe the Ark may be in the underground corridors under the Dome of the Rock. However is it currently closed off by the Islamic authorities.

Will the Ark of God be found?

I myself do not think so and even if found, it would probably be "worshipped".
There was an interesting program on the history channel awhile back about it and they showed this site where it is "supposedly" being guarded. I am skeptical of this though.

Romans 1:25 Whoany altar the truth of the God in the falsehood and are venerated and offer-service to the creature/creation beside the One-creating, Who is blessed into the ages. Amen!

The Treasury of the Arc of the Covenant Axum, Ethiopia

...........The group of young men did not reveal the theft to Prince Menelik until they were far away from Jerusalem. When at last they told him what they had done he asserted that they could not have succeeded in so bold a venture unless God had willed its outcome. Therefore he agreed that the Ark should remain with them. Thus Menelik brought the Arc to Ethiopia, to the sacred city of Axum, where it has remained ever since..........

My dear brother... When I quote Revelation I give a line by line interpretation and let the readers discern my findings for themselves. If your going to quote Revelation 12 and bring the whole chapter into perspective, you have quite the job for you proving that this is the Mother Mary.

As for me... I will give Revelation Chapter 12 an "I don't know."
