And a "futurist" I once was. ;)
Two important prerequisites to be sure, IMO.

"Perfect love casts out fear", and to the degree that we rest in Him...to that same degree will a measure of fear be dispelled...IMO.

But none of that means I fully believe there cannot be perilous times before the end.

You are a wise fellow, Hillsage. I hope you will be ready when the troubles come and that God will spare you and yours from the worst of it....

It is easy to boast about how strong one's faith is when it remains untested. No doubt, the faith of all of us has been tested in relatively small ways by moments of fear and episodes of uncertainty, lingering between the first exam and the physician's prognosis or the last treatment. But how many of you have had your faith tested during a moment when a crazy person keeps her pistol jammed against your head and tells you that she's going to kill you? How many of you have had your faith tested, while a lynch mob drags you toward the hanging tree and you see a noose dangling from one of its limbs? How many of you have had your faith tested, while someone is shooting at you? How many of you have had your faith tested, while a gang of punks encircles you and starts to play tag-team brutality at your expense? How many of you have had your faith tested, while finding yourself surrounded by a swarm of government goons on a black-file mission with the goon's leader informing you that you have one chance to survive? How many of you have had your faith tested, while a pack of hoodlums is keeping you imprisoned in a hole in the ground? How many of you have had your faith tested, while you are fleeing from members of a street gang are trying to catch you so that they can enjoy hurting and robbing you? How many of you have had your faith tested, while the truck that you were riding in flipped and rolled over and over in a deep ditch? How many of you have had your faith tested during times when you had no idea where you might find your next meal?

Now just imagine what it would be like to have your faith tested, during months and possibly a year or more of suffering through a period when perilous moments similar to those described above might take place at any moment and starvation and lack of drinking water is something that you and your loved ones need to confront day after day after day. That is what all of us face sooner or later if we survive long enough--and those times might begin next week, next month, next year, or four years from now. But they are on their way....

It'd almost like you dismiss the fact that faith is a gift from God. The same God who gave me faith to witness to my neighbor, is the same God who will give me faith to stand before a firing squad. When you are IN CHRIST it really doesn't matter where you are at.

I agree that faith is a gift. Especially the initial faith we receive, to believe for the salvation of our born again spirit. Do you think that means it is always given without any effort/obedience/seeking from us?

I have very little to do with where I might end up on this wretched world. Of course, I entertain preferences. But it is up to God where I shall go and what I shall do in the future. One of the things that I learned a long time ago is that I exercise very little control over how things work out for me. I can only exercise control over my whereabouts and direction from moment to moment. Even so, God has revealed hints about how things will go for me in the future. But I try not to dwell on that part of my service to Him. Muddling my way through the present keeps me busy enough...So, yes, there is something more. Excuse me for being mysterious, but I am not allowed to say what the something more might entail. I will say this much, though. As if I have much say in the matter, I do not seek power or wealth, or glory, or great honor. I just do whatever I am directed to do and contemplate whatever is revealed to little me whether it be of personal nature or something far greater....

Anyway, from my perspective, the point of issuing warnings and advise is not about trying to scare anyone. I am merely endeavoring to help others prepare for what is coming. Since we are stuck on this darkling world, we should always resist the normalcy bias and be prepared to face the worst. After all, the nature of this world is one of violence and cruelty. The Devil never stops trying to cause the faithful problems and devising ways to undermine their faith. As Yeshua pointed out long ago, the times that we have entered are very difficult to deal with. They will only become more so in due time....

Please, excuse me for misunderstanding your question. I am still in the process of waking up and I have a lot on my little mind...As I said, being in a city or near one is not a wise situation for anyone who hopes to survive what is coming. It would be far wiser to situate one's self in rural areas near lots of relatives and nice folks if possible. If it is not possible, the wilderness is the next best option. Of course, depending on God's help and guidance are necessary no matter where one is situated. The problem is that being around large concentrations of people will present huge problems when the worst of the troubles come. Besides human nature being what it is, the Russian and Chinese missiles and bombs are going to demolish America's cities the night that she perishes. And so, the faithful are approaching a situation wherein they will become so many Lots confronted by the imperative: Flee from Sodom and Gomorrah--or perish....

Can you or anyone know how strong your faith is until it is tested by the most difficult and perilous circumstances? If you think so, you are fooling yourself. None of us is divine. We are humans. Even the strongest humans are relatively weak. That being so, your faith might just prove strong enough to weather the worst that circumstances might throw at you. The deal is that, when the troubles come in full force, they will not merely test your faith through one day and one or two dangerous situations. The ordeal that all of us will face will persist day after day after day month after month through one peril after another and also through deprivations, terrors, and horrors worthy of the worst nightmares. Going through such an ordeal will tend to wear down the faith of even the strongest folks. Some, however, will triumph over fear and hardship. Many will not....

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Does the above verse apply to all Christians of all ages?

NO! I pay no heed to what others say about such matters. My only sources are the Holy Ones. I have been in this job since I was a kid. That was many years ago--long before YouTube or the Internet. My first revelations, epiphanies, and insights began arriving way back in the early 1960s. I have told many people many things that have already proven true. As is the case recently, most of them refused to believe me whether my warnings were about something personal or much bigger. Oh well....

Why do you think Yeshua warned his disciples about what was coming their way in their life times? Why did God send the Holy Prophets to warn the peoples of Israel and Judea about what was stalking them? In case you have not caught on yet, I have not been referring to ordinary troubles and everyday concerns....

You "pay no heed to what others say about such matters", but then say " I have told many people many things that have already proven true. As is the case recently, most of them refused to believe me whether my warnings were about something personal or much bigger."

Why is it not for you to "pay heed" to the advice of others, but you seemingly want everyone else to pay you heed?

Did Jesus say there was ever a time to panick? Are there instances where a believer SHOULD worry?

Hint:
Philippians 4:6-7 said:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.-Hebrews 10:25

So does the bible say that we are to cause each other to question our faith? Or does it say we should ENCOURAGE each other as we see the day approaching?

Because I listen to what God and the Son tell me. The words of the so-called prophets that you mentioned are not worth listening to...At least, that is how I see it...Look, if you think I am full of it, do not pay any heed to whatever I might write....

Just pointing out the double standards. I don't think your full of it. I doubt you are full of what you claim, is all. I won't pay you any heed, nor any of the other self proclaimed internet prophets who testify of themselves.

I have been attempting to warn you about what you will face if you survive long enough to meet the coming troubles so that you can properly prepare yourself for their onslaught. That is my job. It is the job of the faithful folks that you know to encourage your faith...Sticking together with other faithful folks during the coming troubles is a good start. You will need to help and encourage each other. Of course, all of you will also need to depend on God to protect and guide you. Even so, it would be wise to formulate a plan and stock up on whatever you think you might need in order to survive a nightmare that will persist for many days, weeks, and months, and quite probably, also many years....

What did Luke say?
Luk 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

Ps 28:3- 9 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him.

The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving strength of His anointed.
9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
