For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all.

Please notice that God's Word didn't say "some", or "just the elect" here. It SAYS ALL. And grace and mercy go together.

Sweet! Universalism is true!!!!!!!!

But there are NO verses that teach that Christ died ONLY for some, whatever you'd like to call that group.

There are plenty of verses take Matt 1:21 for example:

Matthew 1:21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins

Notice "will save" not might or possibly, and notice "his people", in the context of the Gospels "his people" are the "sheep", not the goats.

If Christ came to make a general sacrifice for sins, making it possible for anyone, then why do we read that "HE will save". It doesn't add up to insert notions of Jesus, coming to die for everyone but saving his people....meaning he died equally for those who are not his people, for those burning in hell. So where does that leave the efficacy?

There are NO verses that teach that God chooses who will believe, which is logical foundation and conclusion of Calvinist election.

Seriously? There are verses that state it plainly, unless you're suggesting that an elect person can not believe and still be elect...which is against Scripture.

When these 2 points are considered, just how strong is Calvinism?

Those 2 points are not points at all, smoke and mirrors, rhetoric.

1 Cor 1:20 "Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men."

This is what I said:
But there are NO verses that teach that Christ died ONLY for some, whatever you'd like to call that group.

You have confused "save" with "died for". They aren't the same, and Matt 1:21 does not support limited atonement.

Notice "will save" not might or possibly, and notice "his people", in the context of the Gospels "his people" are the "sheep", not the goats.
Not in John 10. Jesus notes the following:
#1 the sheep, which He would lay down His life
#2 My sheep, which hear His voice
#3 other sheep of Mine
#4 not of My sheep

Nothing about goats, etc.

If Christ came to make a general sacrifice for sins, making it possible for anyone, then why do we read that "HE will save".
Because He will save. The Bible plainly says so.

It doesn't add up to insert notions of Jesus, coming to die for everyone but saving his people....meaning he died equally for those who are not his people, for those burning in hell. So where does that leave the efficacy?
It does add up. He died for ALL so that anyone who believes WILL BE saved.

God saves ONLY believers, 1 Cor 1:21. No one else.

Why are people "burning in hell"? Because they don't have eternal life. Rev 20:15.

I said this:
There are NO verses that teach that God chooses who will believe, which is logical foundation and conclusion of Calvinist election.

And you replied with:
Seriously?
Yes, I'm VERY serious. There are NONE.

There are verses that state it plainly, unless you're suggesting that an elect person can not believe and still be elect...which is against Scripture.
Please show me any verse that uses the verb eklegomai that is linked with being elected for salvation.

{HINT} 2 Thess 2:13 doesn't have "eklegomai", but rather "haireomai".

YOU identify THAT group as the "Sheep". And whom did Christ say He lays His life down for?

So yeah, you're in denial.

I see you ignore the context of Scripture, as a matter of fact Jesus did identify two groups through parables, the sheep and the goats. So yeah, goats are not sheep and Christ died not for goats, but for the sheep. Go on now and twist away as always...

The group identified as "the sheep" are the ones for whom Christ died. He also noted specifically "His" sheep and "other" sheep of His, and those "not of" His sheep.

If He would die ONLY for believers, then He would have said "The good Shepherd lays down HIS life for HIS sheep." He didn't say that.

He identified "His", "other" and "not of M" sheep. And He clearly SAID He would die for THE sheep, not His.

All this wrangling by Calvinists is amazing. Clear Scripture is given, yet resistance to the truth continues.

I said, "nothing about goats", in reference to John 10. Please direct me to the verse in Jn 10 where Jesus notes anything about goats. Thnx.

Forgetting 2 other passages, where Jesus refers to mankind in general to SHEEP without a shepherd. Would He ever say that about "HIS sheep"? Of course not.

Matt 9:36 and Mark 6:34 are in context of missionary activities and witnessing.

There is no support for your view.

ONLY in the context of end time judgment is there mention of sheep and goats. But that context isn't the context of either John 10, or Matt 9:36 or Mark 6:34.
