Best resources that support The Holy Spirit Being "CO-Equal" part of The God Head?

Hello, I am looking for any good videos or books etc, about why the Holy Ghost is A "CO-Equal" Being in the Godhead.

The Holy Spirit is the hardest to find good material about in the Trinity in my opinion. Could someone provide me with some references to some good exegesis on this matter?

It seems that a lot of the trinity exegesis does not go into depth in naming the supporting scripture for "co-equality" of the Holy Ghost. I am looking for Purely Holy Spirit exegesis.

Thanks.

When we speak of the Holy Spirit being equal with the Father and the Son, we mean that the Holy Spirit is Divine with the same (equal) Divinity as the Father and Son.

Is that what you had in mind?

Good exegesis:

Photios the Great's "Mystagogy of the Holy Spirit"
Gregory of Nyssa's "On the Holy Spirit"
Basil the Great's "On the Holy Spirit"

The Bible is not a text book on systematic theology. There are plenty of Scriptures that reveal the Holy Spirit as Divine. That being so then the Holy Spirit is by definition co-equal in every aspect of Divinity to that of the Father and of the Son since the Bible reveals the One God YHWH as Tri-Personal, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The idea of the Holy Spirit existing as anything other than the Infinite-Personal Creator is preposterous.

Have a look at my response on this thread http://www.christianforums.com/t7825714/

If I may say,

You may be interested in the work of Dr. Michael Heiser - as he has done a couple of amazing presentations showing the fullness of who the Holy Spirit is and what he was meant to be.

Dr. Michael Heiser: The Jewish Trinity - YouTube

Additionally, there's the work of Dr. Amos Yong - perhaps the most scholarly within the Pentecostal world when it comes to noting the extensive range of how the Holy Spirit moves and operates...as seen in The Spirit Poured Out on All Flesh and Who is the Holy Spirit: A Walk with the Apostles (more shared here). He has also been very instrumental in showing the ways that the Holy Spirit's work has been crucial - a work that neither the Father nor the Son were designated to do - when it comes to preparing the hearts of others around the world and already working within their cultures in bringing them to Christ....more shared here in Amos Yong’s Review of “Holy Spirit, Chi, and the Other” | Grace Ji-Sun Kim ...or "Beyond the Impasse" by Amos Yong - Society of Vineyard Scholars : Society of Vineyard Scholars and Beyond the Impasse by Amos Yong - A Book Review - JR Woodward. More can be seen here as well - or here in the following:

The Holy Spirit and the Middle Way: A Pentecostal Inquiry in a Pluralistic World - YouTube

The thoughts of Yong have been a blessing to see when it comes to the ways he has challenged the Church in reconsidering the role of the Holy Spirit (and being Orthodox myself, it is cool to realize where his thoughts do line up much on the subject.. - especially in regards to the Word and the Spirit being the "Two Hands" of the Father.....and seeing how extensive the concept is with seeing the Holy Spirit as Wisdom).

In my opinion, two of the best books on Pneumatology have been written by Frank D. Maccia;
  • Baptized in the Spirit: A Global Pentecostal Theology (2009)
  • Justified in the Spirit: Creation, Redemption, and the Triune God (2010)
As these two books were written for academics and where the second is directed to those who are scholars, they can be a difficult but very worthwhile read.
