After a huge outpouring of support on Facebook, A&E broke under the pressure and reinstated Phil Robertson back on their hit show, Duck Dynasty.
Phil Robertson to Return to Duck Dynasty

Phil Robertson Will Return To 'Duck Dynasty' Episodes In January

It seems A&E has finally come to its senses and reinstated Mr. Robertson to Duck Dynasty. Smart move for A&E.

Report: Phil Robertson to appear in 'Duck Dynasty' in January

The source said gay staff members had called on Chief Executive Officer Nancy Dubuc to boot Robertson off the popular reality show permanently. The source said Dubuc has received death threats for her decision to suspend Robertson indefinitely from filming new episodes of A&E's biggest hit.
Now the death threats against this woman are so wrong. I do not condone such behavior at all. I feel sorry for her.

My husband happens to like him . He's not a zeolite fan or anything .But viewed his show ocassionaly and thought of him as clean living ,sort of simple guy that loved his family .He said he seemed to be a charitable person too .

In light that people are threatened to be murdered so the show continues he has changed his mind. If he and his supporters (people who threaten murder in his name) is what he wants to represent this isn't over . I would not call this a triumph.

To be honest with you, I'm very disappointed that someone threatened her. As I said, I feel sorry for her. I pray she's all right.

So am I . (disapointed) and so do I "pray for her." I pray she isn't murdered . She did what was demanded of her to save her life.

What a proud moment for "Duck Dynasty"

I sincerely hope that the people who threatened that woman are brought to justice somehow.

And I sincerely hope Phil Robertson speaks out against it . After all it was her life threatened over his show . That should not be minimized. Unless he thinks that's fair game .

I agree, but I don't condone the bad behavior toward that woman who was receiving death threats.

I don't think you do either for what its worth(condone the death threats) . I respect you for pointing that out. :)

Its hard to celebrate a "victory' with that kind of arm twisting I think .

1.) Threats are completely unacceptable.

2.) I think we all knew Robertson was coming back. Suspension over mere homophobic and racist comments isn't really a career killer. It just served to really throw his entire show into the limelight and heighten his mystique. Of course it's back: their ratings will be going sky-high after everything that's happened. Many will watch even if they don't care for the content, just out of solidarity, and on that note...

3.) The show sounds fairly low-brow and dumb, so I can't exactly be that thrilled that it's back. Would rather see something worthwhile like educational programming. I don't really watch TV anyways, and hadn't heard of Duck Dynasty before this whole blowup, and wasn't impressed by what the show sounded like when I looked into it.

So, whatever.

I wasn't condoning the death threats either. I didn't even comment on them, because they were almost certainly irrelevant to A&E's decision to bring him back.

I'm not, for a single second, falling for people who are suggesting that it was. We're not living in such a lawless state that this kind of "arm twisting" goes on where TV stations make business decisions. Do you realize how often the media, and public figures get them from both sides?

The whole thing was a ridiculous controversy anyway. Phil simply quoted 1 Corinthians 6 and I applaud him for standing for his faith. He said nothing hateful or derogatory and it's interesting that the same people who preach tolerance have been the quickest to accuse and express hatred toward him.

All I ever hear of the show is fake controversy used to drum up support for the show. I've even tried looking for clips of the show on youtube, figuring that if it was a good show there must be some cool clips or something, but all I find is videos talking about some made up controversy surrounding the show.
I'm starting to wonder, is Duck Dynasty even real? Can anyone tell me anything about it?
