I am outraged not only how Congress caved into the evil forces that dominate our legislative and executive branches of our Federal Government which will lead to more kicking the can down the road and the total financial destruction of this once great nation. However I even more outraged how the House of Representatives treated Dianne Reiddy that courageous House Stenographer who stood up and told what God had truly inspired her to say, conveying God's complete disgust with the way our legislative branch is acting. And then they have the gall to make her go for mental evaluation--what an absolute farce. Congress should be the one to go for mental evaluation over a terrible addiction they have and can't control--that addiction being spend, spend, spend.

I am praying for this valiant woman who will now go through severe persecution for righteous action and hope you will, too. She indeed will be ridiculed and reviled, but isn't that the price we Christians have to pay for Jesus says the world hates me and so will the world hate you if you stand for My Word.

I am so angered I fired offf a letter to John Boehner about it, calling him and others gutless who can never stay the course in anything they do. What they lack is the Spirit of the Alamo where these brave defenders were willing to die rather than surrender their principle. Oh only if we had some real men in Congress like those brave fighters we could finally deal with the evils that beset us. Please pray for Dianne; she needs to know she is not alone as many of us feel the same about these worthless individuals who would sell out this country for a price.

I would have reacted the same way if I were there; in fact I exploded when I heard the news about the sellout. This is one reason I refuse to meet with my lawmakers because I know they don't care about America or its people. They would have to escort out as they did with Dianne. I hope you will write your Congressional representative and protest as I did.

I can't say God Bless America anymore because I know He won't bless a nation that is steeped in sin and moral decay but I can say with a heart bursting with love for what this woman valliantly did GOD BELESS YOU DIANNE AND MAY THE ANGELS SURROUND IN THE DAYS TO COME FROM VICIOUS AND MALICIOUS ATTACKS. You are not mentally unstable but the ones about whom you spoke through the annointing of God MOST CERTAINLY ARE!

Let's face it. When you speak up about God in any public forum in this world, you'll be treated as a loon. We should be supporting Dianne, not bashing Congress. We aren't entitled to being treated as right.

I've seen enough people having psychotic breaks to know that this woman is ill and her husband is in denial. She had post partum depression, which is often a precurser to a later severe mood problem.

Yes, she needs our support and prayers. She does not need to work in such a stressful environment in the future.

I honestly have no idea what this story actually is, so I can't really comment on the specifics, only the nature. If the Onion News doesn't do anything on it, I probably won't see it. They're the only news source I trust anymore. :p

Actually, she and many of the members of Congress are delusional.

Why do you think she is delusional? Are you a psychologist? The President, IMO, is delusional but no one says anything about him. Are you saying that speaking God's Word in a public forum, especially if God has given a Word to say, is delusional? How do you know that God didn't tell her to say those things? Just because someone suffered from PP depression doesn't mean that it lasts forever. Some recover quickly and maybe she is on antidepressants. I don't think it is fair to agree with the heathens who were feeling "pity" for her "mental instability". And they called her a very nice person and very religious. What is wrong with that?

This reminds me of a story about someone near and dear to me. He stood up in a public forum and turned over the table of the moneychangers. He said to a group called Pharisees, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites..." "You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!" "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness..." Matt. 21

It's good He didn't live in the 21st century, He'd be forced to have a mental evaluation.

I've worked in hospitals for over 30 years. I've seen many psychotic people with religious delusions. Non-religious people have different delusions as delusions tend to have cultural context.

But what makes her words and actions "delusional" as opposed to being moved by God to speak out and warn the Congress?

Yes, he probably would. As it was, all they said was that he had a demon or the devil in him.

Because she was awakened night after night by voices in her head and acted in a bizarre manner. To compare this with Jesus in the Temple is outright silly. he was fully aware and made a calculated move. She is not the Messiah and her "message" made no sense in the context.

Long hours made stenographer snap | New York Post
Dan Reidy told The Post Thursday that his wife, Dianne, was plagued by sleeplessness since the start of the shutdown Oct. 1.
“Two weeks, waking up in the middle of the night. She’s like, I can’t sleep, God’s got me in the work,” Reidy said, speaking from the living room of the couple’s Maryland home, where they’re raising two twin girls.
“God was preparing her for this vote last night, because this was kind of the culmination of everything,” he continued.
“This was the big one. Everybody’s there. And Dianne didn’t know what she was sharing, she didn’t know when — but she just sensed in her spirit.”
Dan Reidy, a former associate pastor of a Christian church in Florida, denied that his 48-year-old wife has mental problems.
