Good luck on finding a doctor who will take it. What will you do when it implodes - you will be out all you paid in. It will not work.

A lot of the plans (in my state anyway) seem to be Blue Cross...

I signed up for a silver plan last night. $39.38 after the subsidies. I ain't complaining.

Let's see............ maybe better luck than finding a doctor that works for free. The program may ultimately fail, but it is worth trying since the Tea Party do-nothings will not ever come up with a plan because they aren't capable. If it doesn't work, back to what SnowCal had before.... nothing.

Trouble is by the time it fails it may be too late to change ANYTHING. By the way, I have an idea which is actually shocker what the Republicans came up with that you all keep saying we came up with and now do not like Obamacare. I would NOT mind a mandate IF it ONLY covered life and death like what they have to cover now if you go to hospital just enough to stablize a person that is ALL that should be mandate IT. Not preventive care not visual or denist stuff and certainly NOT birth control ONLY what is need to get a person STABLE.

Lack of dental and eye care can lead to life or death situations. It's not really common but it's certainly not unheard-of. Usually it's a infection too close to the brain and untreated.

I understand the concept of infection proving fatal. Trust me that was one of among other things what my grandmother on dad's side died of finally after a few months of poor quality of life, but until then It is hard to say that healthcare is a right. Life is a right quality things should not be assumed a RIGHT.

First things first: I am going to requote the text above and add only punctuation; I am doing this because I am having trouble parsing out what your meaning is in your writing. If I reply on what I think you meant, you could very well misconstrue what my meaning is.

Trouble is by the time it fails it may be too late to change ANYTHING.

By the way, I have an idea which is actually shocker: what the Republicans came up with (that you all keep saying we came up with and now do not like Obamacare); I would NOT mind a mandate IF it ONLY covered life and death. [L]ike what they have to cover now. If you go to hospital just enough to stablize a person that is ALL, that should be mandate IT. [But] [n]ot preventive care, no[r] visual...[dental] stuff and certainly NOT birth control. ONLY what is need to get a person STABLE.

If it fails then one could change it. If it doesn't work you can exchange it (the ACA) for something else that might work better than doing nothing.

Doing nothing is what you seem to be asking for: emergency rooms have to treat all comers regardless of their ability to pay, but only to the point of stabilizing the person.
So a child that has a bicycle accident would get only the broken bone set and casted, no physical therapy nor reconstructive surgery?
