Okay, what are your favorite places to spread the Gospel?

I have found renting a booth at a flea market to be awesome. Hand out tracts and plenty of good one on one witnessing as well as getting to know your flea market neighbors and sharing with them.

Also, local parks and especially public festivals. July 4th here 3 partners and I witnessed to around 70-90 people at a festival and handed out probably 500 million dollar bill tracts and New Testaments. Several young people really close to repentance I believe. It was awesome. Made me forget about all the self-righteous people who got mad at us for trying to share.

My best friend likes downtown, college scene on Friday and Saturday nights but that is not for the weak of heart. Make sure you're prepared both spiritually and biblically.

One last and will let yall respond. Restaurant waiters/waitresses. Had some really good experiences there too...aside from my everyday work/society experiences.

Okay, where do you go?

Okay, what are your favorite places to spread the Gospel?

Any place where there are people. Last week, our local Catholic church had a carnival and we went there to share the Gospel and pass out tracts.

The week before that, we went to the NASCAR races down in Dover. Tens of thousands of people there just walking around in the hot sun. We had coolers of ice cold water and handed them out with tracts.

I love to go to the University of Pennsylvania and do open air.

I have found renting a booth at a flea market to be awesome. Hand out tracts and plenty of good one on one witnessing as well as getting to know your flea market neighbors and sharing with them.

Never done that, but I have set up a table in the park with a sign that said, "Lonesome? Need to talk to someone? Need Prayer?" You'd be amazed at the response I got.

Public fairs are always good. We have something here called "Canal Day". We always take coolers full of bottled water and pass them out with tracts.

One last and will let yall respond. Restaurant waiters/waitresses. Had some really good experiences there too...aside from my everyday work/society experiences.

We always ask our waitress, "How can we pray for you today?"

Nice stuff. Waiters/waitresses when asking us if we're still hungry or thirsty will normally get a reply from us like, "Absolutely. Hungry for the Word of God and thirsty for the water of life."

Being in a motrocycle ministry we hit bars and clubs mostly. But any mass public event is good to share the gospel.

We also like to "host" open cookouts with free food. Free food and motorcycles can draw a crowd.

Another good approach is after they bring your food they will usually ask, "can I get you anything else?". This is when you can say, "well, we're about to ask God to bless this meal is there anything you would like prayer for?". You would be surprised how many will say yes which opens the door.

Thanks guys. All great ideas. Keep'em coming!!!!

One of the best places to make people think is online imho. What makes the difference is that you can debate and discuss without the person shutting down. Discussions become much more emotional in a face-to-face setting and usually shut down much more quickly.

In addition, literally hundreds of additional people will read your posts. I have many debates on science where I have really had athesits and agnostics thinking. I'm not saying they became Christians, but I do know that they began to open up to "new possiblities".

I've been going down to the county courthouse here in Wichita over the lunch hour periodically. My goal is to go from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. that way I can catch everyone that's either leaving for lunch or coming in for the afternoon sessions in court. I just stand out front and pass out million dollar bills as people walk by. If they stop I share with them, if not I know they got a good gospel tract. It's not unusual for someone to come back and ask for 1 or 2 more to give to someone else! Here in Wichita we've got a pretty busy court house so it's not unusual to go through 200 - 300 tracts every time I go down to the court house. Another thing to keep in mind is that outside the court house it's a free speech zone highly protected by the 1st Ammendment. As long as your tracts aren't be littered all over teh place and your not trampling the lawn your free and good to go to share the gospel!

I haven't started witnessing yet....I live in a place where religion is almost taboo, or so it seems to me. Even my husband is a mystery to me, whether he's really saved or not, because he doesn't talk about it much.
At the moment I'm trying to get a really strong grasp on the Word of God...get a habit of prayer and listening to God, and recognizing his "voice"....Wasn't it great in the Old Testament, when he just spoke to Moses audibly, and gave him powers to perform miracles so that people would believe and follow?
I know Jesus gives us the power to move mountains through faith, but I guess most of us are lacking in faith because I don't see many mountains being moved.
Sometimes I feel God pulling me towards something big, because there are so few believers or seekers in the place I live in. But I don't trust myself yet.....
In anycase, bravo to those of you who are sharing the Good News. Always remember that we share it first through our actions and then through our words.
Many blessings....

Can someone please respond to me concerning this matter? This is a very deep, important question to me!

I wish to have a lengthy conversation on this matter, because I know what I say will be at odds with what many Christians believe. But for I am prepared to give good refutations for any point that is contradictory to what I say (and I believe I have thus far with people).

I believe we can only begin to talk about evangelism when we start with the right nation where we can win as many souls as possible. Western nations have hardened their hearts to the gospel, though 99% have knowledge of the gospel. I believe this is mainly because of their over-decadence and mis-education (governmental and media).

Many in the third world are like sponges, where conversions are exploding, because people seem more willing to open their hearts minds to the gospel and believe in Jesus because they do not suffer from these same ailments.

As I said, I really hope someone can offer me input on these matters. These thoughts are constantly at the forefront of my mind. I plan on willing my money away when I pass away (which may not be for several decades, but I'll have more to give that way because of the interest I earn on it) and I want my money to be used as effectively as possible towards winning souls.

Yes people have hardened their heart. But an act of love may soften it. We have the ability to open the eyes of the spiritually blind.

Acts 26:18
rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, 18 to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’

Pray for God to open the eyes of those you will talk to today.

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16 There is power in the gospel. A minister needs to prepare himself in prayer and repentance from being self absorbed. Then go in confidence with the Word of God, knowing there is power in it.

Yes, but as I mentioned before, some require far less coaxing to believe than others, geographically speaking. And at the end of the day, isn't it all about how many come to believe in Christ?

Everything we do seems to reek of nationalistic favoritism, whether it be for our own economic benefit, or out of fear of outside cultures; as if we value saving one life for Christ over another. Why won't we simply act in the world where evangelism is showing the most success, for the time, money and resources that are put in? Again, isn't it about how many lost souls are saved?

Honestly, I am really not a fan of any tracts I have seen over the years & I find just giving them out to people at random to be inauthentic.

I favor sharing Christ in the context of genuine relationships & through acts of service & kindness. In a festival setting or at a flea market booth, that could be something like handing out balloons to kids or water bottles to those who need a drink, all for free.

we're about to ask God to bless this meal is there anything you would like prayer for?"
People respond well to this because they feel respected and cared for, rather than confronted. They are quietly trained in how to do it -- how to approach God, what they can ask for, how to join with others in prayer. People learn much from observing.

You present your faith exactly as you express it in your own life. You show them what Christianity looks like.

People are very sensitive to being approached abruptly and asked to think in a different direction. I will even leave a store if too many staff ask me if I need help. Strangers demanding undue attention -- directly -- break my concentration and slow down what I'm trying to accomplish.

I will rush past anyone on the street with their hands holding a pamphlet, because I know they want to convince me of something I don't feel I lack. And they might be asking for money. People suspect being asked for money, even if you have no intention to.

On the other hand, I will approach people that pique my curiosity, including a street preacher. (Adequate distancing.) Seeing that a youth group is selling lemonade, or a church is doing face painting--it's sweet to see the generosity played out.

I favor sharing Christ in the context of genuine relationships & through acts of service & kindness. In a festival setting or at a flea market booth, that could be something like handing out balloons to kids or water bottles to those who need a drink, all for free.
And then, it appears like part of the community that has opened itself up for others to observe and join in. A church that wants to give back to the neighborhood. There was a church I'd thought of going to for years, but it appeared so closed from the outside -- no signs, and it was hard to tell what door to use. When they held a public outdoor event, that provided the opportunity to see what the people were like.

I did not need evangelism then -- I needed to see there were trustworthy people who lived out what they stood for.
