Wait...what? Ray Comfort??
King of the Emergent Church... the Papacy who is willing to call the Christian god "allah", willing to celebrate with Buddha, the Dali lama, ask the Jews for forgiveness, and represent the Palastinians during the peace talks, and on and on goes the list of reconciliation efforts.
That's everyday mainstream Christian teaching that most denominations believe. One must embrace spiritual growth to overcome willingly and knowingly committing sin.they believe we're sinful by nature and cant even be pure of sin for one single day.
Been there ...done that... got my T shirt.. now on to the meat.Yes... the anti-christ will be muzlim, and the pope will be the false prophet.
You'll see that this is exactly how it's gonna play out.
Always remember to study the New Testament in it's entirety and compare what preachers teach with ALL of what the New Testament teaches... for many are taking parts of the NT and are coming up with messages that sound good but in fact are messages directed by satan to deceive.
If these days are not shortened, the elect will be deceived... so Jesus will be removing His overcomers from the earth soon (rapture) and all who are left will be going thru the Great Tribulation including many of the preachers you see on TV that everyone thinks are so highly anointed of the Lord.
Very interesting times we live in...

Ray Comfort does believe we need to quit sinning, he just takes the mainstream view that all sin is the same and does not acknowledge willful sin with falling short of absolute perfection. Big difference between these two and it's this premise that led to seeker sensitive so called freedom to sin willfully believing it matters not because Jesus paid for the sins of mankind at the Cross... which He did, but that does not mean it's OK to live in sin.
The part many today leave out is found in Romans chapter 8... walking in the Spirit, and hosting the Holy Spirit in your life so that you do not willfully sin because you are led by the Holy Spirit.
Although you will not attain to absolute perfection while here on earth in this un-renewed body, we can certainly stop the willful living in sin by walking in the Spirit and allowing the Lord to purge us thru the renewing of the mind.

Visionary,
Usually when there is compromise, that is usually a sign that later it may not work and the group will not stick together. For me personally don't agree with the Emergent Christianity concept. Because in my thinking there is too much of the world creeping in.
And many groups will use bribery to get the people just to come to their church, congregation or group. Now I am not just singling out MJs, I am pointing out this among the Christians and any other religious organizations.

Having had friends who were involved in the Emergent Church movement, the reality is that it's not really as monolithic as many make it out to be - for it's like asking what the shape of an ocean wave looks like.....there are many variations even though there's commonality on certain levels - and thus, you have to deal with things on a case-by-case basis.Have you heard of Emergence Christianity?
I am reading a book that I got at the library called, "Emergence Christianity" by Phyllis Tickle. The book is about how Christianity is changing in the 21st Century.
I'm not sure if I should accept this change or run the other way. I have seen for a while that Christianity has been making a shift but not fully understanding it or why.
