Why did you ruin it for me!!! C'mon man.....

Oh yeah and George Zimmerman isn't white because he's hispanic let's not forget that one. lol.

Does he really look white to you? He's brown skin. Being half white doesn't make you white, or else Obama would be white too.

Maybe on the surface I've lived in florida from 7 to about 12 and I can remember there was racial tension there. Even in school all the black kids knew each other and the hispanic and native american children....we all knew each other. We really didn't interact with the white students coming from new york I can remember noticing this and it was my first real taste of racism, the first time I was called the N word and several other racist things.

Self segregation isn't getting along fine.

Ok so some kids said some rude comments to you... That's alwaya gonna exist.

WHOOOOOOA that really went over your head, way over it. Is that really what you believe that Zimmerman being hispanic and white, is the same thing as Obama having a black father and a white mother??? You really think that??

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I think you should do a bit of traveling you will be surprised what you learn.

Do you think racism in america is at a higher level due to the age of america?

Internationally, to note a High Level of racism, action to cease racism in Burma remains warranted. The images of Kachin people that depict their severed, disfigured bodies bite thru me and as I have read about land usurpation, rape, torture, youth conscription and abuse of power from Burman leaders, I ask why this racism is not discussed non-stop?

The reason the U.S. does not support ethnic Burmese leaders is due to the legal pattern of racism in the States. The legal pattern is best articulated by Robette Ann Dias in her working paper Historical Development Of Institutional Racism. It is the legal pattern and not the age of America that is key to the higher level of racism here.

Chinese and Japanese are races?????? I've actually been to Japan and I got nothing but love there the people were really nice and I am a black man. I doubt that they are racists.

Racism isn't black-centric. The Japanese and Chinese have been racist against each other for centuries. The Japanese soldiers had that in their heads going into China when they brutalized the population there, and many Chinese to this day hate Japan.

So what your saying is racism defined by merriam Webster as "a belief that is the primary of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race 2 : racial or discrimination" is actually wrong. Racism has nothing to do with race.

I am well aware of the history between the two nations the fact that you don't understand what I'm saying and assumed I was that racism is Afrocentric kinda brings a little humor in the thread.

Given your first answer, you made it appear that you were working with a black-centric definition of racism. I'm actually going by Webster's definition. Chinese and Japanese have long held such attitudes against each other.

Is American a race? Is Jamaican a race? Is Cuban a race?

I just want to know if a New Yorker doesn't like southerners is that New Yorker a racist?

Irrelevant to the question of whether Japanese and Chinese are different races. They are (and China has many races within it, not just the Han, which is what most of us consider to be Chinese).

I have been to Japan I know a good deal about the society there. The question wasn't were they different races the question was is Japanese a race?

But then you said that Japanese is a race. I'm confused is there many races in Japan or is Japanese a race?

There are not many races within Japan, no. There were only a few that populated the island centuries ago, and the blood has been very mixed for quite some time on the main islands, hence the Japanese race. The Japanese nation is mostly populated with the Japanese race, though there are a few people of other races living within it. China, by contrast, is far more diverse.
