I don't think it's as bad as the media tries to make it out to be. Races got along fine until that teen in Florida got shot, or before the first lady started talking about slavery. If the media and government stopped talking about race, we would be much better off.

But racism exists in every country. I'm pretty sure many other countries have us beat. Besides, western countries, in my opinion, are among the least racist. Look at all the different groups we all have.

People like Al Sharpton, I'd say.

Yup. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are a huge part of the problem.

Barack Obama also is, but to a lesser degree. (If I had a son, he'd look a lot like Trayvon Martin. Typical white person.)

It's rather amusing when they eat each other, as when Jesse Jackson accused Barack Obama of acting white.

Typical white person? :p.

I think Bill O'Reilly mentioned something about a grievance industry. That's what it sounds like.

I think society should be more concerned about the Anti-White attitudes in this country than the Anti-Black ones. I think Anti-White attitudes are far more common.

I have been watching videos made by Jim Crow Museum representatives. Nothing is happening to white people as has happened to black people. To also mention, the racist material about obama, in one of the videos, has the same effect as material from the past.

Business partners, politicians and other leaders are multicultural. They are not communicating attention needs to be given to a rise in anti-white agendas.

Racism isn't as much of an issue in the US as people think, until people who make lots of money proclaiming racism is a problem decide that racism is a problem in some particular instance.

Of course it's not much of a problem - except for the black agitators making a living...

Well, maybe not...

"I'm really {bleep}ing tired of being politically correct for nothing after all these years!"

"Trayvon Martin, thug in training, came up against an American gun owner, jumped the wrong person that night, he would have died young anyway."

"Obama you were not like Trayvon Martin and he was not like your son... you were a privileged half black who attended elite schools and dated."

"I'm not a racist... I'll kill any color of person who tries to kill me first."

"Of course the gov. will pursue civil rights charges to appease the n{word}tards."

Oh noes. It's such a problem. Someone is engaging in freedom of speech! Horror. Horror! Racism!

He's a meany. Fire him.

But, she did violate her terms of employment.

I'll see that and raise you mob violence, reportedly in the name of "Justice for Trayvon."

There is also the point that less than a century ago, while Britain was (and still is) predominantly Caucasian, the British Empire was predominantly not.

To put it into more US friendly terms, the British generally don't really discriminate on the grounds of Black or White, it's Green or the lack of Green that matters

Do you think racism in america is at a higher level due to the age of america?
No.

How old are China and Japan? How long have they been racist against each other? And did that intensify in recent history (since WWII) or not?

Racism can be looked at in two distinct ways.

If you approach it as it relates to how the government protects the races, then the US is substantially ahead of almost any other country.

If, however, you approach it from the personal attitudes citizens of a country hold about the races, then the dynamic changes in such a way as no reasonably accurate measurement can be taken.

For purposes of this argument let us assume that I am racist. In describing myself as such, I could be merely describing an attitude that I feel a race is different from my own in any number of ways. I could believe, for instance, that a race does not do as well as mine in a particular field or activity. Or that my race does not measure up to another. This is racism, but not racist.

If, on the other hand, I were to believe that my race is superior in all ways and that the other races, or a race should be treated differently due to that superiority, then I would truly be a racist.

The US and UK have changed the meaning of the word in such a manner that one feels compelled to act and speak always, and firstly, determining how to preface their acts or remarks with some prepositional act or phrase indicating that the following is not racial and should not be taken as such. This is unfortunate and unavoidable in the realm of our political and personal discourse.

Racism in America is much less potent, to use a word, then it was previously. It is pervasive due to our melting pot style of culture and increasing minority populations. There are several countries with worse cases then us, though we wouldn't have been able to say that a few decades ago.

Maybe on the surface I've lived in florida from 7 to about 12 and I can remember there was racial tension there. Even in school all the black kids knew each other and the hispanic and native american children....we all knew each other. We really didn't interact with the white students coming from new york I can remember noticing this and it was my first real taste of racism, the first time I was called the N word and several other racist things.

Self segregation isn't getting along fine.

I agree in Britain if you can make me money you can sit down and talk I don't care about your race....it's all about your class. My family from Britain are very similar when you are struggling they tend to look down on you but when you are doing well they tend to look at you with admiration and respect.

It is more so classism then racism some of my relatives in Britain are white or they would appear white, meaning they had more white relatives then black. Most of my family work in some sort of white collar job and have done so for many years. When my family comes to America and see what I am doing with my life they tend to not really look at my color more so inside my pocket.

Chinese and Japanese are not races. You might as well have substituted French and English or Sunni and Shiia.

I see, based on this flailing non-sequitur, that you're having trouble following the conversation. Here's what you wrote and I responded to with those Tweets.

Racism isn't as much of an issue in the US as people think, until people who make lots of money proclaiming racism is a problem decide that racism is a problem in some particular instance.

I've bolded the important part.

I'll see that and raise you mob violence.

How exactly is racist behavior by blacks "seeing and raising me" when the you still haven't anteed yet. Isn't such behavior just proving your original assertion (see bold above again if you've already forgotten) all the more wrong?
