“Some of my Republican colleagues are already saying we won’t raise the debt limit unless there’s repeal of ObamaCare. I’d love to repeal ObamaCare, but I promise you that’s not going to happen on the debt limit. So some would like to set up another one of these shutdown-the-government threats. And most Americans are really tired of those kinds of shenanigans here in Washington,” – Senator John McCain.

The other Republicans are right to be obstructive against this President's destructive agenda.

The more debt this country acquires, the more this country has to pay in interest. Obama is making Bush's spending look frugal in comparison.

With 2014 right around the corner, by all means, I hope they play this silly little came with their already horrid ratings as a do nothing congress.

I'm well aware of how the dishonest Left-wing drive-by media will try to blame everything on Republicans (including Obamacare), however the facts are the facts.

What Republicans need is to grow a backbone and start calling out people for their dishonesty.

LOL, fact is the genesis of Obama care is from all things conservative. Nothing drive by about that. With that said, I surely hope they follow your advice a cater to the fringe loons.

Me, too ... Shutdown looms over ObamaCare - The Hill - covering Congress, Politics, Political Campaigns and Capitol Hill | TheHill.com
An aide to Lee said Republicans won’t be blamed for a shutdown because they will offer legislation to fund all other government operations except for those necessary to establish the new healthcare law.

“This is going to be the litmus test of whether you do or do not support ObamaCare,” said Brian Phillips, Lee’s spokesman.

Lee’s proposal could become an issue in Republican primary races next year.

“Any Republican who votes to give Obama a single penny to implement ObamaCare is part of the problem and should be defeated. Any Republican who votes to fund ObamaCare should have a primary challenger,” said Matt Hoskins, executive director of the Senate Conservatives Fund, a fundraising group that supports conservative Republican challengers.

McConnell, seeking to become majority leader in 2015, wants to spare his party from getting blamed for a shutdown. But he also has to worry about his 2014 primary race. Matt Bevin, a businessman living in Louisville, is expected to announce his bid this week.

“[It’s] gonna be fun to watch,” a senior Democratic aide said. “For now, we’ll just stand back and let them debate this amongst themselves.”
LOL ... somehow, I suspect though that Democrats will be injecting themselves into the very heart of this debate.

Well I have to agree with McCain on this. I am tired of both parties, but most Republicans just act like spoiled kids and they only want their way. They could be working to change ACA, or improving it. But they just want their way, and I am tired of them holding the country hostage for that.

Per the emboldened. Sit back and the loons versus the far right loons decimate themselves.

I think the last thing they want is for ACA to actually work. So better to just get rid of it before it is doing what it appears to be doing now: working.

Might I suggest "wacko bird" rather than loon. :D

Ted Cruz: ‘Count Me a Proud Wacko Bird’ - ABC News
“If standing for liberty and standing for the Constitution makes you a wacko bird, then count me a proud wacko bird,” Cruz said as he delivered the keynote address today at the Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Md.

In an interview with the Huffington Post earlier this month, McCain singled out Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., as “wacko birds” when asked whether he felt they are a “positive force” within the Republican Party.
McCain seemed to quickly regret his remark though ... John McCain apologizes to Rand Paul, Ted Cruz for 'wacko birds' | Politico

Obamacare was never designed to really work in the first place, it was all about seizing more power.

If it had been designed to actually work, they wouldn't have had to pull all those shannigans to get it rammed through, and they also would have READ THE BILL...

Sounds like someone has Obama derangement.;)

Seriously, if you wanted to seriously work on something to help fix problems in about 1/6th the US economy (which is healthcare), wouldn't you want to read the legislation so you know what was in it, BEFORE voting for or against it?

LOL ... your argument would be stronger if you actually refuted the assertion.

Plenty of evidence exists that Obamacare is a fiscal disaster. Even Obama plans to defer the mandate for employers until after the next election.

Canard #1: It wasn't designed to work. (never mind because of AHA we are seeing premiums coming down).

Canard #2: It was about seizing power: (the only power seized was one where Insurers rightly had to change the way they denied or kicked people off coverage.)

Canard #3: If it had been designed to actually work, they wouldn't have had to pull all those shenanigans to get it rammed through. (Never mind the goal from day one the GOP was going to obstruct every piece of legislation of Obama.)

Canard #4: hey also would have READ THE BILL (never mind the gist of the bill has been read seeing it has been around ever since 2003 and constantly tweaked up until it passed)
