If you do not eat pork, Christ will profit you nothing

I see only three possible reasons He gave very, very detailed instructions on what children of God (all children of God) are to consume.
1. To protect us by warning...those foods aren't good for us.
2. To test us to see if we can follow His instructions by tempting us with really tasty foods.
3. To protect us from potential harm and to see if we would or would not...follow His instructions.
Which is it?
I am hesitant to even continue to attempt a discussion at this point. You do not deal with what people post.
God did not give instructions concerning poisonous plants to Israel. Therefore Kosher is not about ""HEALTH ISSUES". That is a real simple concept.
1.. Yes, they were given to one particular people. Those "people" are children of God....all children of God.
Gentiles are also Children of God in Christ, not just Jews.
2. Poison plants kill immediately.....toxic foods take time.
So, getting back to my original comments about HEALTH. Plants which are not healthy are not fobidden by law as unclean. Therefore "health" is not the issue with kosher.

And, He said:
Genesis 1:29-30 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Yes, he did say this. And in reference to this He also said to Noah,,,
Ge 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Just as God gave the ALL the green herb and fruits in the beginning to be created for food to eat, he likewise gave all animals as well to Noah for food.
Was it that others were "not allowed" because of who they were or...was it because the priests were to eat the sin offering after it was sanctified? What does that symbolize, what did that point to for it was fulfilled in Him?
The point is.....It was not because he LOVED some and did not Love some others, AS YOU PUT FORTH. God chose to set some apart as MORE HOLY by those things is all. Not all were equal in their eating and not all were equal in their "holiness" before God. As is the case with Israel as a nation divided from other people by the commands of Kosher. Just as the priests were set apart from the common people of Israel, so too, was Israel set apart from other nations. The people of Israel did not need "to do" as the priests, to be "HOLY", anymore than Gentiles in Christ, need to do as Israelites to be "HOLY".
Therefore, with this concept of the priests being separated <914> from the common people of Israel to be HOLIER, carries no such ideas as you suppose of loving vs hating one group over another

****The people of Israel separated, divided from other nations to be his.

Lev 20:24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated <0914> you from other people.
25 Ye shall therefore put difference <0914> between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated <0914> from you as unclean.
26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed <0914> you from other people, that ye should be mine.

****** The PRIESTS, separated, divided from the people of Israel to be his

Nu 8:14 Thus shalt thou separate <0914> the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
Nu 16:9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated <0914> you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

Picture the disciples of the Lord after the crucifixion of the Lamb, partaking of His flesh. His disciples, of which we are included (His disciples, His priests) are to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." [2 Timothy 2:15]. We should be able to fill that role, to be approved unto God.

It isn't that others weren't allowed...it is that others were not workmen that could absorb, understand, the flesh/Word of the Lord...the sanctified flesh of the sin offering. We are to be those workmen. We are among His holy nation. We are His peculiar people IF we are His, IF we obey His voice, IF we keep His commandments.
Exodus 19:5-6 Now therefore, if ye will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people: for all the earth is Mine: And ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto Himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Deuteronomy 26:18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be His peculiar people, as He hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all His commandments;
Those that see that referring only to the Israelites are mistaken for those words are found in the New Testament...they pertain to us:
Titus 2:14 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;

LOL. Sorry but come on. There is only one way to not kill, not have another God before you, to not lie, steal, cheat. There is only one way to carry them out.

The glaring example you've given isn't applicable. What the law of the land allows or disallows is...the law of the land. The laws of God are His no matter what land one lives in.
So, do you Obey the law of concerning Marriage? Are you obligating males to marry their childless widow to bear offspring to him? Are you allowing yourself more than one wife as well?

Just as necessary as the Sabbath and less damaging in regard to salvation as a requirement.

Seems like I recall some "how damaging is......" threads awhile back.
One in particular regarding the sabbatarian MJ movement comes to mind:

http://www.christianforums.com/t5546846-54/
How damaging is the Messianic Movement

How damaging is the Messianic Movement to the Gospel of Jesus Christ going forth?

Now before anyone starts getting up in arms, I am not referring to the Jewish believers who have a Messianic Jewish style of worship.
What I am referring to is the growing number of Gentiles, that were formerly involved with the church, who now have decided to become "Messianic”.

'And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.' (Acts 10:15, KJV)

I believe you've taken this out of context. Pork is not the best food...in fact all scavengers are not the best to eat. God didn't clean them...they are the garbage collectors. It's not a salvation issue, it's a health issue.

I Like pork chops and sauerkraut, pulled pork sandwiches, ham, pork roast, and, of course, bacon.
Nah...bratwurst, polish or elgin sausage, is best with sauerkraut

Sgt Schultz: "What, no sauerkraut?!?!??"

This is not a valid "reply"

That is my point. When we are children of God in Christ there is no difference. What pertains to one pertains to all.
Again, an invalid reply. You completely ignored the levels of holiness varied . Therefore no, what applied to one did not apply to all.

LOL. It is all about health.

No kidding. Especially if she is a good cook. Dad said marry for cooking and not looks.

Fried in lard?

I would rather eat my own fecal matter fried in vasoline than eat a pork chop, bacon, belly, chitterlings - any part of a pig - fried in the most pure oil kissed by an angel.

They eat their own feces, roaches, bugs, other animal's fecal matter, mud, parasites, and they will eat you if you stand still long enough. They taste salty because their meat is toxic. It would be safer to eat the fecal matter of any vegetarian (animal or human) than it would be to eat the most organic, cleanest-fed pig in the world.

I would hope you don't eat chicken then. They do the same.
Odd. I thought is was because they had sodium in them. Just like all mammals. So why does lamb taste salty?

Chickens eat their own feces if they are vertically farmed, like most fast-food KFC/Churches/ETC chicken is. That is an issue on care, not metabolic processes. Swine store most of their toxins in their meat (as well as plenty of parasites, including the infamous trichina worms

Free range chickens do not necessarily eat their own fecal matter, but they are still equipped with better digestive and purifying functions than swine. Chickens do not store a majority of toxins in their meat, especially if they are free-ranged and not full of fear hormones (or antibiotics.) There is a reason why God chose certain animals as clean - regardless of what they eat. It is because 1) HE made them, and 2) He knows how they metabolize toxins, and waste. Fish with fins and scales are an example of a clean meat with excellent waste management (i.e. wastes aren't stored in the meat.)

I don't know what kind of lamb you have been eating***, or who has been making it for you, but lamb has an incredibly earthy taste - like licking the armpit of a lamb. You add spices (like cinnamon) to lamb to get rid of the gaminess, THEN you can add salt, pepper, etc. Lambs are some of the cleanest creature to eat.

Of course, grass-fed free ranged cows (that are given no rBST hormones for milk production) are also very clean. Eating mostly grass and a bit of grain, their four stomachs ensure a very clean process of nutrient absorption, and waste management.

I rarely eat meat, but when I do it is: grass-fed, free-range chicken, grass fed free ranged beef, or lamb meat from New Zealand. Other than that, I eat non-genetically modified vegetables and oils (mainly Olive oil.)

But, hey if you want to eat pork I cant and wont stop you. [I am assuming] You are grown, so you make your own choices. I prefer not to eat it - even if I was starving.

Since you use the word "prefer" more power to you. Now I have as of yet met a chicken who wouldn't chase down a cockroach, or even a junebug. All warm blooded and some cold blooded creatures have a bit of a salty taste.
I've heard some say lamb is gamey but I only find that in the grown ones. I do know a farm raising sheep has just as an offensive odor as a pig farm. Doesn't smell like armpit to me.^_^ More like that stuff you'd rather eat than pork.;)
Cinnamon? Haven't tried that. Sounds good. I use tarragon or rosemary usually. I skip the mint jelly.
