Has anyone heard of Sye Ten Bruggencate and his new video How to Answer the Fool? I watched it recently and it's really good. I wrote a review of it if you're interested in learning more:

How to Answer the Fool: A Presuppositional Defense of the Faith Review and Giveaway | Journey of Cross and Quill

It is definately a different way to do apologetics...refusing to give up the the Word of God and arguing that no one can know anything without God.

Wow! This is exactly what I've been thinking about lately.
I have often wondered why we have to cater to scoffers and skeptics
when they don't even acknowledge the validity of the Word of God.
If the Word of God won't convince them neither will human words.

Oops! I just realized that I'm not supposed to post here unless I'm Presbyterian! I thought it just meant "confessional".

Really Sorry!
Not true. Plenty of non Presbyterians post here. Welcome aboard.

Non-Presbyterians are welcome as long as they are seeking to learn more about our denomination and not to debate our views.

Welcome!

I think I read somewhere that Sye Ten Bruggencate was behind the Proof that God Exists website. Do you know if that's true?
Yes, I believe you are correct.

"Christian presuppositions to Christian conclusions, how can his argument be persuasive to a non-Christian? And how can he avoid the charge of vicious circularity?"
by John M. Frame
Presuppositional Apologetics,” for IVP Dictionary of Apologetics

Just IMO, I don't think we have to worry about persuading the non-Christian. I think what we need to worry about is presenting the plain truth.
Whether or not they believe is up to God.
Jesus' best sermons were pretty short-
"Repent!"

Except for the wildly different situation of somebody claiming to BE God as opposed to somebody testifying about God.

It follows that the Lawgiver would use the imperative.

However, we are not Him, and are limited to the indicative.
