We know that we are to pray for the church, the body of Christ as instructed:

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” (Ps 122:6 KJV)

That has nothing to do with the capital of the current Zionist State of Israel, a bunch of Christ deniers, but means the current people of God in the New Covenant, the church. But, what about us who are captives to Obama and the socialists in Washington, DC?

"And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace." (Jer 29:7, KJV)

The weak GOP is of no help to us, so we better pray and rely on God who controls all. We may have been looking to politics more than God and got our punishment in the results of 2008 and 2012.

"The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD like channels of water; he turns it wherever he wants." (Prov 21:1, NET)

The Replacement Theory is only that, a theory. The Church did not replace Israel nor Washington, DC replace Jerusalem. The Church has its own destiny. When God makes a covenant, He doesn't change it. He made a Covenant with Israel and God will see it to the end.

I did not say Washington replaced Jerusalem. I quoted Jer. 29:7 where God's people are to pray for the heathen nation where they find themselves. So, we are to pray for Washington, our heathen capital. The Scriptures make it clear the church did replace Israel and we Christians are now Israel.

First, Israel already possessed all God promised her and she has already lost it as God said she would:

"‘Now, as you see, I am going the way of all mortals. You know in your heart of hearts, all of you, that nothing the Lord your God promised you has failed to come true, not one word of it. But the same Lord God who has kept his word to you to such good effect can equally bring every kind of evil on you, until he has rooted you out from this good land which he has given you. If you violate the covenant which the Lord your God has laid upon you and go and serve other gods and worship them, then the Lord’s anger will be roused against you and the good land he has given you will soon see you no more.’" (Josh 23:14-16, REB)

The Jewish theocracy was ended:

Therefore, I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and given to a nation that yields the proper fruit.’ (Matt 21:43, REB)

The church is now spiritual Israel:

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, a people claimed by God for his own, to proclaim the glorious deeds of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. Once you were not a people at all; but now you are God’s people. Once you were outside his mercy; but now you are outside no longer." (1Pet 2:9-10, REB)

See these words in the past referred to physical Israel...

"You will be to me a kingdom of priests, my holy nation. Those are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.’" (Exod 19:6, REB)
"for you are a people holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you out of all peoples on earth to be his special possession." (Deut 7:6, REB)
but you will be called priests of the Lord and be named ministers of our God. You will enjoy the wealth of nations and succeed to their riches. (Isa 61:6, REB)

The church is spoken of now as the "Israel of God".

"Circumcision is nothing; uncircumcision is nothing; the only thing that counts is new creation! All who take this principle for their guide, peace and mercy be upon them, the Israel of God!" (Gal 6:15-16, REB)

It is the Christian believers who are coming to Mt. Zion and Jerusalem.

"It is not to the tangible, blazing fire of Sinai that you have come, with its darkness, gloom, and whirlwind...No, you have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to myriads of angels, to the full concourse and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of good men made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, whose sprinkled blood has better things to say than the blood of Abel." (Heb 12:18, 22-24, REB)

The prophets spoke of this gospel age, the church.

"From Samuel onwards, every prophet who spoke predicted this present time. ‘You are the heirs of the prophets, and of that covenant which God made with your fathers when he said to Abraham, “And in your offspring all the families on earth shall find blessing.'" (Acts 3:24-25, REB)

"This salvation was the subject of intense search by the prophets who prophesied about the grace of God awaiting you. They tried to find out the time and the circumstances to which the spirit of Christ in them pointed, when it foretold the sufferings in Christ’s cause and the glories to follow. It was disclosed to them that these matters were not for their benefit but for yours. Now they have been openly announced to you through preachers who brought you the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. These are things that angels long to glimpse." (1Pet 1:10-12, REB)

You say that The Christian Church did not replace Israel, then you waste a lot of white space trying to prove the opposite. You need to read the Book of Romans again.

You need to read my post again. I said the church did become the spiritual Israel. I said Washington did not replace Jerusalem. I have given you many references and the texts to support my argument. You tell me "read the Book of Romans". Can you at least give a reference or two so I know what your argument is?

The basics are in Romans, Chapter 9 thru 11. The bottom line is this,

11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Phoenix, I'll quote your passage in its context:

"There is a divine secret here, my friends, which I want to share with you, to keep you from thinking yourselves wise: this partial hardening has come on Israel only until the Gentiles have been admitted in full strength; once that has happened, the whole of Israel will be saved, in accordance with scripture: From Zion shall come the Deliverer; he shall remove wickedness from Jacob. And this is the covenant I will grant them, when I take away their sins. Judged by their response to the gospel, they are God’s enemies for your sake; but judged by his choice, they are dear to him for the sake of the patriarchs; for the gracious gifts of God and his calling are irrevocable. Just as formerly you were disobedient to God, but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so now, because of the mercy shown to you, they have proved disobedient, but only in order that they too may receive mercy. For in shutting all mankind in the prison of their disobedience, God’s purpose was to show mercy to all mankind." (Rom 11:25-32, REB)

I see no mention here of a temple in Jerusalem in the future. I see no throne mentioned in Jerusalem from whence Jesus Christ reigns and I do not see any sacrifices re-instituted here. I take this passage to mean that the elect Jews will be saved according to the promises and be one with the Gentiles in the church, the new Israel. The calling and election of God is irrevocable, no blotting us out of his book, neither Jew nor Gentile. As to whether a large body of Jews come to Christ in large numbers toward the end of time, or come into the church throughout history I do not know.

I will quote the words of the old Baptist, John Gill, who was a premillianarian:

"they are immutable and unalterable; God never revokes them, or calls them in again, or takes them away from the persons to whom he has made such a previous donation: the reasons are, because that his love from whence they spring is always the same; it admits of no distinction, nor of any degrees, nor of any alteration; and electing grace, according to which these gifts are bestowed, stands sure and immovable; not upon the foot of works, but of the sovereign will of God, and always has its sure and certain effect; and the covenant of grace, in which they are secured, remains firm and inviolable; and indeed, these gifts are no other than the promises of it, which are all yea and amen in Christ, and the blessings of it, which are the sure mercies of David. Whatever God purposes, or promises to give, or really does give to his people, whether into the hands of Christ for them, or into their own, he never repents of or reverses.
Moreover, the apostle here says the same of the "calling of God," as of gifts; by which is meant, not a bare external call by the ministry of the word, which oftentimes is without effect, and may be where persons are neither chosen, nor converted, nor saved; but an internal effectual call, by special, powerful, and efficacious grace; and designs either actual calling, to which are inseparably annexed final perseverance in grace, and eternal glorification; or rather the purpose of God from eternity, to call his people in time, and which is never repented of, or changed. The apostle’s argument here is this, that since there are a number of people among the Jews whom God has loved, and has chosen to everlasting salvation, and has in covenant promised to them, and secured and laid up gifts for them, and has determined to call them by his grace; and since all these are unchangeable and irreversible, the future call and conversion of these persons must be sure and certain."

I understand Abraham was not looking for an earthly city:
"By faith he settled as an alien in the land which had been promised him, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him to the same promise. For he was looking forward to a city with firm foundations, whose architect and builder is God." (Heb 11:9-10, REB)
