Can you believe in re-incaration and be a "true Born Again Christian"?

What does the Bible say about it?

Hebrews 9:27 states: It is appointed unto man once to die, then the judgement...

As to your other question, I supposed you can be a christian and believe anything, but I would only expect that of someone who doesn't know any better (i.e. someone who is brand new in Christ) . All true believers are led by the Spirit of Truth, which is the Holy Spirit. He will testify of that which is already written, which is scripture. So as you grow in Jesus, you grow in truth. That's why it's a great idea as a new believer to read the bible as much as you possibly can. As a believer, you should have a great hunger to do just that...

There is just about only one Christian church that believes in reincarnation, and that's the Liberal Catholic Church. The rest of Christianity considers it unBiblical.

Christians believe in a rebirth or being born again into a new creature
that becomes an eternal being as God's very own son or daughter.

No one can come back to this life once they die because each person
lives and dies only one time.

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

No. The Bible does not speak about reincarnation but it does speak about Earth's destruction. Read the book of Revelations. I don't understand why anyone would believe in reincarnation anyway. What's the point? What would you accomplish by being reincarnated?

A chance to "make it right" the next time around... and around and around.... and around.

In short, it's the same old lie that tries to make people believe that they will somehow be able to atone for their sins through good deeds (i.e. living a "good" life).

The root of this is PRIDE.

My sister is heavily into metaphysical stuff. re-incarnation, different galaxies, psychics, psychic healing, chanting, you name it. She does not believe in Hell and not sure about Heaven and the Bible is just a "book".

She's also into astonomy, very heavily.

She believes she was St. Catherine in one of her lives and was martyred and this is why she has so many "problems" in her current life.

I have tried to talk to her about Jesus, but dont' get anywhere.

My mother in law claims to be a Christian as well. She actually prays to Jesus, and has pictures of Him all over her house.

However she DOES believe in re-incarnation, psychics, and carries some kind of "rock" in her pocket all the time which she is always rubbing.

She's into tarot carbs as well.

I just don't see how you can be a real Christian and do this other stuff

She a Democrat (LOL) and believes in gay marriage etc...

I just don't get it...

Hi PH,

I would not worry too much about it. And you did mention that you have shared Jesus with your sister or ?both of them.

Salvation is very personal. As much as it is personal between you and the Lord, it is also the same with each of them.

The course of their lives will depend on the Lord's hand, will and appointed time.

I do not believe in it, and I see conflicts with it and believing in Christianity. I do have a friend who believes in it and is Christian, but this confuses me. I would not personally want to come back as another person; I want to live my life as God intends and then seek eternal rest with Him.

What she is practising is witchcraft. Just keep praying for her.
