No. Eve was made from man. The sons of Adam and Eve could not have taken millions of years! Adam lived 930 years so Eve could not have taken long ages to appear or 'evolve'. Adam lived thirty some odd YEARS and then had Seth...with Eve as the mother.

Those that have claimed some old age evolution as biblical are proved wrong.

Of course, this would be wrong.
That is not the issue. The issue is that supposed bible believers claimed here that the bible 'realllly' says that God did not create per say Adam and Eve, but that they evolved from the ground basically.

Individuals don't evolve.

Populations evolve over time.

God's creation of Adam did not preclude God using whatever PROCESSES he willed to do so.

For example, God told Abraham that he would make of him a great nation. God didn't "zap" that nation into existence instantaneously. It took centuries.

Little children in Sunday School are taught, "God created you." Does that mean that their parents weren't involved? Grandparents? Great-Grandparents? This rubbish that God allegedly zapped each aspect of creation into existence in a moment is rubbish. It is TRADITION, not scripture.

I agree.

I think He spoke each aspect of creation into existence ex nihilo and ex materia.

Genesis states that Adam was formed from the dust of the ground. It doesn't say that he came from another animal of some kind. The process of creating Adam's body may have taken some unknown amount of time but it didn't "come alive" until Jehovah blew the "breath of life" into his nostrils.(Genesis 2:7) Then Eve was formed from Adam.

When Adam and Eve sinned they were told that they would go "back to the ground" not back to a lower form of life. (Genesis 3:19)

Basically, the bible holds out that Adam's body could possibly have been formed over an unknown period of time but it didn't "evolve" from an animal.

No. Genesis 2:7 says that HADAM was "formed from the dust of the ground". Other passages say the same about all of the animals coming from the soil. Today we know that to be an accurate statement. All life is composed of the basic chemical elements of the earth's crust. The ingredients of life come from the soil. And that is exactly what the passage says.

You and I are just like HADAM. We are composed of "the dust of the ground". The fact that we were formed by our parents' genetic material and that we grew in wombs for nine months doesn't change the fact that we are formed from the dust of the ground.

Genesis 2:7 describes abiogenesis, life from non-life. (Adam was alive but he and we ALL came from "the dust of the ground", non-living ingredients.) So once again, the Bible and science agree.

Ultimately coming from the soil does NOT rule out all of the intermediate steps which all life progressed. And how do we KNOW that God used evolutionary processes to adapt and diversify life on earth? Because the evidence in his creation is all around us and is OVERWHELMING. The fact that YOU happen to be unaware of it does not mean the rest of us can't see it and praise God for it.

As is usually the case among young earth creationists, you have confused ultimate causation with proximate causation.

That's what he meant.
Oh, okay.

Sorry -- I'm a little slow when Internet scientists use such technical jargon as "zapped," instead of "spoke."

Evidently some people think the art of speaking is the art of tazering, eh?

I tried that on some folks here and got raked over the proverbial coals!;)
Same as when God said "let there be light" could have been describing the after effects of the "Big Bang"!

Then you would appear to have a serious problem since evolution has been proven in the real world. It did happen.
Your opinion of how life started is not relevant here. The issue is whether the bible teaches Adam evolved out of the ground as some guy and his wife seemed to teach here.

Eve could not have evolved over time nor their kids according to the bible. You are busted.

Blah
For example, God told Abraham that he would make of him a great nation. God didn't "zap" that nation into existence instantaneously. It took centuries.

Neither did Abraham and Sarah take millions of imaginary years to spawn from the dirt.
Little children in Sunday School are taught, "God created you." Does that mean that their parents weren't involved?

Not the same as Adam. Be serious. Ask a kid if you doubt me!

It has to be a real creation of man and woman to fit the bible.

To get evolution from the Bible, one would have to Arab phone Genesis 1 -- not only the words, but the order of the events therein.

And we already have Genesis 2 for that.
