I've noticed recently that there are a few threads and certain people suggesting that Jerusalem is the prophetic Babylon the harlot during the final end times, others don't suggest it but emphatically teach this as truth.

Hopefully after reading this OP those that may be a bit confused will no longer be. I make no attempt to convince those that are teaching this false doctrine that what they are proposing is in fact false. I've tried in the past only to have these people deny scripture and explain away simple and straightforward verses which clearly show their doctrine to be false.

By comparing Babylon and Jerusalem during final end times it becomes obvious that Jerusalem cannot possibly be this harlot described in chapters 17-18 of Revelation

Babylon during this period of time is depicted in scripture as a wealthy powerful woman (harlot) riding on the final end time beast responsible for the martyrdom of many saints, in short "she" is enjoying her riches, power and status while riding this beast

Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

At the same time Jerusalem is under seige by gentile armies:

Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

additional scriptures foretell that Christ will finally go to Jerusalem at his return and fight against those nations that came up against Jerusalem the "HOLY CITY" (Zechariah 14, Isa_31:5, Isa_62:1, Joel 3:16)

these few verses alone beg the question 'Just how is Jerusalem this powerful rich "woman" (harlot) riding on the beast and at the same time being attacked by many nations (gentiles) ' ??? this is definitely an obvious contradiction

The Final Contradiction:

Now at the very end we have to look at what God will do to both these cities , ie , Babylon and Jerusalem

First Babylon....................Rev 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Rev 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

"AND SHALL BE FOUND NO MORE AT ALL "!

...........clear and concise verse needing no special interpretation whatsoever , directly to the point, God will destroy Babylon the harlot, "she will CEASE to exist

Now Jerusalem.................and surprisingly to some there are quite a number of verses , I'm only posting a small portion of them.............please take the time to read those posted

Isa_30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
Isa_65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

recall the verses that God will wipe away their tears...................Rev_7:17, Rev_21:4

Joel_3:20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
Isa_33:20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

Jer_17:25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

some "names" for Jerusalem
Mat_5:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
the great King's (Christ's) city
Isa_62:7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Jer_3:17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
.................."throne of the LORD"

Jer_33:16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
Joe_3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Jerusalem the "holy city"

a few more verses................

Mic_4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Zec_1:14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
Zec_1:16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

whether reading all or some of these verses I'm sure most get the point.................and see the contradiction in the false teaching that Jerusalem is Babylon the harlot.

God is NOT going to completely destroy Jerusalem as Rev 18 shows will happen to the harlot and at the same time redeem Jerusalem making it the holy city of the KING (Christ throne) where he will reign forever

Scripture clearly shows that teaching that the "city of the great King" (Jerusalem) is Babylon the harlot is a false doctrine, nothing more than a lie

This doesn't make your point at all.

This is all figurative language which starts with a woman. Even without trying to identify the woman you theory falls apart becase what is wrotten on the woman's head, we are told is "a mystery" in Revelation 17:5:
5 and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

A mystery is a hidden thing, something you have to search for through the scriptures.

You find the precedent in scripture, of God describing the worship of false God's as harlotry. It is first stated in Exodus 34:14-17 as God instructs and warns Israel of false worship and idolatry:

14 —for you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God—
15 otherwise you might make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land and they would play the harlot with their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone might invite you to eat of his sacrifice,
16 and you might take some of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters might play the harlot with their gods and cause your sons also to play the harlot with their gods.
17 You shall make for yourself no molten gods.

That is the first place God calls false worship harlotry! That sets the precedent for it.

Who is it that God has been concerned with all through the OT scripture about "playing the harlot"? Right...Israel/Jerusalem!!!

This is why you cannot assert that Jerusalem is not the harlot...because God has accused Jerusalem of harlotry times too numerous to name in scripture.

Jeremiah 3:1-5 makes my point:
God says, “If a husband divorces his wife And she goes from him And belongs to another man, Will he still return to her? Will not that land be completely polluted? But you are a harlot with many lovers; Yet you turn to Me,” declares the Lord.
2 “Lift up your eyes to the bare heights and see; Where have you not been violated? By the roads you have sat for them Like an Arab in the desert,
And you have polluted a land With your harlotry and with your wickedness.
3 “Therefore the showers have been withheld, And there has been no spring rain. Yet you had a harlot’s forehead; You refused to be ashamed.
4 “Have you not just now called to Me, ‘My Father, You are the friend of my youth?
5 ‘Will He be angry forever? Will He be indignant to the end?’ Behold, you have spoken And have done evil things, And you have had your way.”

From this passage alone, as Jeremiah prophesies about Judah/Israel the case is easily made.

You may not think it's Jerusalem...I do! No one in scripture is called a harlot more than Jerusalem/Israel by God...and why? Because they are God's people! In Revelation, God's people are being judged which ultimately ends with the destruction of their temple as Jesus told them of in Matthew 24.

Even Jesus called their generation "evil and adulterous" and they asked Him for signs in Matthew 16:4:
4 An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah.” And He left them and went away.

Try Ezekiel 16 also Manasseh. You cannot dismiss that it's not Jerusalem that Rev 17 is describing...just say you don't think so because the evidence is overwhelming that it is.

Try reading Hosea too...

I am assuming you have read Josephus's account of that divine prophetic event of AD 70 as prophecied by Jesus and the Prophets

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD

The Destruction Of
JERUSALEM
An Absolute and Irresistible
PROOF OF THE DIVINE ORIGIN OF
CHRISTIANITY:
INCLUDING A NARRATIVE OF
THE CALAMITIES WHICH BEFEL THE JEWS

In executing the command of Titus, relative to the demolition of Jerusalem, the Roman soldiers not only threw down the buildings, but even dug up their foundations, and so completely levelled the whole circuit of the city, that a stranger would scarcely have known that it had ever been inhabited by human beings. Thus was this great City, which only five months before, had been crowded with nearly two millions of people, who gloried in its impregnable strength, entirely depopulated, and levelled with the ground.

And thus, also was our LORD'S prediction, that her enemies should "lay her even with the ground," and "should not leave in her one stone upon another, " (Luke xix. 44.) most strikingly and fully accomplished ! -- This fact is confirmed by Eusebius, who asserts that he himself saw the city lying in ruins ; and Josephus introduces Eleazer as exclaiming "Where is our great city, which, it was believed, GOD inhabited ? It is altogether rooted and torn up from its foundations ; and the only monument of it that remains, is the camp of its destroyers pitched amidst its reliques !"

Indeed I don't. I don't mind saying that when I first became a believer I was taught along those lines.

The church I attended was Independent Baptist and the "Scofield Reference Bible" was the most popular bible of the congregation. I didn't embrace that teaching and I just continued to read the scriptures.

I thank God that the Holy Spirit gave me discernment to question that view.

That view is so prevalent that we have many in politics through history that believe it too...and therefore whenever it comes to Israel they are supported politically and it appears that history is moving that way...and of course with the Jews having no temple to worship in they want to build one.

When God moves I believe many will be surprised because it will not be about Israel the nation as much as it will about the Jew the person, and not a temple at all.

God will open the Jews eyes to the gospel and they won't even care about a temple because they will understand that along with the Gentiles, we are both being built as a spiritual temple to God, as Ephesians 2:11-22 teaches us:
11 Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands—
12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,
15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace,
16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.
17 And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near;
18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household,
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,
21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,
22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

That's the temple God is building!!! :amen:

"Jerusalem The harlot", Modern Judaism, "Babylon the Great"!

The teachings of Dispensational Zionism have blinded the eyes of the confessing church, many teach that Rome would be the harlot of Revelation 17:5, "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT", God's words clearly Identifies the harlot, as Jerusalem!

Revelation 17:9-12 KJV
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
Wikipedia: Seven hills of Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Israel (see Seven hills of Jerusalem) [1], the northern summit (hill) is called Scopus [Hill One], The middle summit (hill) was called Nob [Hill Two], The highest point of Olivet itself, and the southern summit (hill) was called in the Holy Scriptures the "Mount of Corruption" or "Mount of Offence" [Hill Three] (II Kings 23:13), on the middle ridge between the Kedron and the Tyropoeon Valleys there was (formerly) in the south "Mount Zion" [Hill Four] (the original "Mount Zion" and not the later southwest hill that was later called by that name), the "Ophel Mount" [Hill Five], to the north of that the "Rock" around which "Fort Antonia" was built [Hill Six], and the southwest hill itself [Hill Seven] that finally became known in the time of Simon the Hasmonean as the new "Mount Zion."
You will take note that the beast of Rev 13:1 has 7 heads/mountains and Ten horns, that bear Ten crowns, this represents "KINGS" ruling over these tribes that scripture reveals are the "TEN LOST TRIBES" that have returned to Israel, the deadly would has been healed, 1948 Israel became a nation, as the tribes returned, these kings will represent the lost tribes that currently have no kingdom, and will be given power by the beast/antichrist, AKA messiah “Moshiach Ben David" to become kings, and will agree to come against the woman/Jerusalem, moving to take rabbinic/clerical rule over a current liberal Jerusalem. You will take note that Judah, Benjamin, are not included that were faithful to the Lord!

1 Kings 11:31 KJV
31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:

Revelation 13:1-8 KJV
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

You will take note that in Israel/Jerusalem is found all the righteous blood that was slain upon the earth as seen in Matthew 23:35 KJV and Revelation 18:24 KJV, you will take note that Matthew 23:32 KJV is filling the cup of measure, of Gods wrath that will be poured out upon Jerusalem, this cup is also seen in Revelation 18:6 KJV that will be filled double, she will receive this cup of wrath, that she has filled in Rev 16:19 KJV, the harlot is not "Roman Catholicism" as is falsely taught in Dispensationalism!

Jerusalem "Babylon The Great" The Harlot, is found all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, of the Prophets and the saints!

Matthew 23:31-38 KJV
31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Revelation 18:24 KJV
24And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Many persons are misled by the true spiritual condition of modern day Judaism, the truth is they are heavily involved in the "Babylonian Talmud" and the "Kabbalah" they look toward these writings for spiritual guidance, the writings are pure examples of evil, that modern Judaism is spiritually involved with,"EVIL writings that should'nt be repeated"!
Wikipedia: Babylonian Talmud

"Talmud Bavli (Babylonian Talmud)
A full set of the Babylonian Talmud.
The Talmud Bavli consists of documents compiled over the period of Late Antiquity (3rd to 5th centuries).[9] The most important of the Jewish centres in Mesopotamia during this time were Nehardea, Nisibis, Mahoza, Pumbeditha and the Sura Academy".

"Talmud Bavli (the "Babylonian Talmud") comprises the Mishnah and the Babylonian Gemara, the latter representing the culmination of more than 300 years of analysis of the Mishnah in the Babylonian Academies. The foundations of this process of analysis were laid by Rab, a disciple of Rabbi Judah ha-Nasi. Tradition ascribes the compilation of the Babylonian Talmud in its present form to two Babylonian sages, Rav Ashi and Ravina".
Wikipedia: Kabbalah/Kabala

"Kabbalah/Kabala (Hebrew: קַבָּלָה‎ (lit. "receiving") is a discipline and school of thought concerned with the esoteric aspect of Rabbinic Judaism. It was systematized in 11th-13th century Hachmei Provence (Southern France) and Spain, and again after the Expulsion from Spain, in 16th century Ottoman Palestine. It was popularized in the form of Hassidic Judaism in the 18th century".

"Kabbalah is a set of esoteric teachings meant to explain the relationship between an eternal and mysterious Creator and the mortal and finite universe (His creation). While it is heavily used by some denominations, it is not a denomination in and of itself; it is a set of scriptures that exist outside the traditional Jewish scriptures".

Jerusalem Post, 8/2/2012

Four thousand people marched in the 10th annual Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade in the capital on Thursday, waving rainbow flags of all shapes and sizes in the nonviolent protest. In contrast to past years, there were no haredim standing along the way, protesting the parade.

For the first time since 2005, the parade returned to its original route, making its way down King George and Keren Hayesod streets, stopping to observe a moment of silence at the spot where three participants were stabbed in 2005 by a haredi extremist.

Members of the right-wing Likud’s gay group joined the parade for the first time after their founding nine months ago. Evan Cohen of Ramat Gan said that the Likud party embraced them, but the leftwing political parties did not. On Thursday morning, police discovered the white “Welcome to Jerusalem” sign at the entrance to the capital had been covered with rainbow paint, most likely in support of the parade. Police opened an investigation into the incident, and the sign was immediately cleaned.

The Harlot of Revelation "Great Babylon" is Israel/Jerusalem
, we see Jerusalem being called Babylon and a great city, it is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, Rev 11:8, 14:8 and 16:19 KJV is Jerusalem, you will take note that the harlot is called MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT , with great babylon being identifed in Rev 16:19 KJV.

She is guilty of all the righteous blood shed on the earth, Matt 23:35 & Rev 18:24 KJV.
She has filled the cup of wrath, Matt 23:32, Rev 18:8, Rev 16;19 KJV.
She will be burt with fire, Rev 18:8, Isa 29:6 KJV.

Revelation 17:5 KJV
And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Jerusalem is called the "great city" and is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, that would depict Babylonian influence, not to mention the Talmud, and Kabbalah, their holy books.

Revelation 11:8 KJV
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Revelation 14:8 KJV
8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

The valley of meggido, Armageddo is located in Israel, where the nations of the world will be drawn to battle, the final depiction is termed "great city" "great babylon" depicting Israel and Jerusalem!

Revelation 16:12-21 KJV
12And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Isaiah 1:20-22 KJV
20But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
22 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

Ezekiel 16:14-16 KJV
14And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by ; his it was.
16And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

Revelation 18:6-8 KJV
6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Jerusalem the Harlot/harlot will be visited with fire to be burned!

Isaiah 29:6 KJV
6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Isaiah 57:3-4 KJV
3But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the harlot.
4Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.

Why do you think that the New Jerusalem has to come down from heaven?

(Rev. 21:2)
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The old Jerusalem gets destroyed.

If you really wanna know who MYSTERY BABYLON the harlot is, all you need to do is read Revelation 17:18--where the angel tells John what she represents, plain as day, clear as crystal.

Rome.

All you need to do is read Matthew 23:31-38 & Revelation 18:24 and understand through the historical fact that Rome and her empire we not in existence to be guilty of the blood of prophets, however the harlot Jerusalem was.

Did Matthew lie in verse 35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth?

Did Matthew lie in verse 37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee,?

Jerusalem, Mystery Babylon the Great, Guilty of the blood of prophets, Rome and her empire was non existing to be guilty of the prophets blood, your claim has been proven false!

Great Post of Truth, I agree 100% Absolutely correct!

However those that follow Zionist teachings want to keep the earthly Jerusalem, we need to maintain the earth and a false 1000 year kingdom where the Jews will rule the earth, "FAIRY TALE"!

Revelation 21:1-5 (KJV)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Understand that the destruction of MYSTERY BABYLON, like actual Babylon before it, is permanent.

Understand... PERMANENT.

Once destroyed MYSTERY BABYLON will NEVER be rebuilt (Revelation 17:16-18; 18:8,16-24; 19:1-3).

There's the Scripture to back up that claim.

Got that?

Now, with that in mind, if MYSTERY BABYLON is Jerusalem as you say HOW ON EARTH DOES JESUS ESTABLISH HIS ETERNAL KINGDOM THERE IF HE DESTROYED IT AND DECREED THAT IT WOULD NEVER BE REBUILT!!??

IS JESUS GOING TO ESTABLISH HIS MILLENNIAL KINGDOM ON THE ASHES OF A RUINED CITY? (ISAIAH 60)

SO WHEN JESUS GOES FORTH AND GATHERS UP THE LOST TRIBES AND SETTLES THEM BACK INTO THE LAND OF ISRAEL, I GUESS THEY ALL GET TO SIT IN A PILE OF RUBBLE AND ASH FOR THEIR CAPITAL CITY? (EZEKIEL 36:1-11,24-28, CHAPTER 48)

THE BIBLE SAYS JERUSALEM BECOMES THE WORLD CAPITAL AND THE WEALTH OF THE WORLD IS DEPOSITED THERE AND CONTROLLED FROM THERE. WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO PUT THE MONEY IF THEY DON'T HAVE A CITY? (ISAIAH 60: 5-14, 16,17; ZECHARIAH 14:16-21)

WHEN SATAN LAUNCHES HIS GOG MAGOG OFFENSIVE, ARE HE AND HIS ARMIES GOING TO SURROUND A PILE OF RUBBLE THAT WAS ONCE JERUSALEM? WHY ON EARTH WOULD HE EVEN BOTHER TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE RUINS OF A BUSTED CITY? (EZEKIEL 38,39; REVELATION 20:8,9,19)

These verses do NOT, I repeat do NOT refer to New Jerusalem.

New Jerusalem DOES NOT appear until AFTER the Millennium (
REVELATION: 21,22).

So why the blatant contradiction?

Either God is lying...

Or you are...

Three guesses as to the correct answer.

Revelation 21, Revelation 22, Ezekiel 47, Zechariah 14, Isaiah 65 is eternal "New Jerusalem"!

John 14:1-3 (KJV) 14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Dispensational Christian Zionist that follow the false teachings of John N. Darby & Adulterer C.I. Scofield, refuse to see "New Jerusalem" in the scripture of the old testament. Possibly the bias of a wanted 1000 year kingdom on earth that will never take place has them blinded.

This will only be found in the eternal Kingdom "New Jerusalem". Of courseDispensational Christian Zionist falsely create what they want to be a 1000 year Millinnial Kingdom on earth, where the Jews will rule, a big "FAIRY TALE"!

Please respond on the false teachings of Dispensational Christian Zionism that this is an 1000 year earthly Kingdom seen in Ezekiel 47, this is the eternal Kingdom that will be revealed on the last day, Immediately after the tribulation, after the existing heavens, and earth have been destroyed by fire!

John's Vision of eternal "New Jerusalem"!

Revelation 22:1-5 KJV
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Ezekiel's Vision of eternal "New Jerusalem"!

Ezekiel 47:1-12 KJV
1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.
10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.
12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Zechariah's Vision of eternal "New Jerusalem"!

Zechariah 14:6-9 KJV
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Isaiah's Vision of eternal "New Jerusalem"!

Isaiah 65:17-19 KJV
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

On the "Last Day" "Last Trump" the heavens and earth will be dissolved by the Lords fire 2 Peter 3:10-13, all mens works will be tried by this fire 1 Cor 3:13, the saved believer will pass through this fire to the eternal kingdom "New Jerusalem" Revelation 21:1-3, we are to look for a new heaven and earth!

2 Peter 3:10-13 KJV
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

1 Corinthians 3:13 KJV
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

Revelation 21:1-5 KJV
1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The Order of Events on The "LAST DAY" or "LAST TRUMPH"

1. Appearing of Jesus Christ, Glorius in the heavens, immediately after the tribulation. 1 Cor 15:52-55, Matthew 24:29-31, Daniel 12:1-2
2. Then the "FIRST" resurrection and catching up of the believers, old and new testament Daniel 12:1-2, Matthew 24:29-31, 1 Cor 15:52-55, John 6:40, John 11:23-24, and John 5:28-29.
3. Then the "SECOND" resurrection unto damnation, lake of fire Daniel 12:1-2, John 5:28-29.
4. Then the heavens and earth are disolved in firey judgement, 2 Peter 3:10-13, 1 Cor 3:13 , every man's work will be judged by this fire, the believer will pass through the fire, Zech 13:7-9
5. Then the "New Heavens, Earth, and "New Jerusalem" are revealed for eternity Rev 21:1-5

"All In The Twinkling Of An Eye" on the "Last Day"!!!!!!!!!!

Appearance, Judgement, Eternal Kingdom, On The "Last Day"!

2 Timothy 4:1 KJV
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Jesus Christ Is the Lord!

There will be no future 1000 year kingdom reign upon this existing earth, the heavens and earth will be dissolved by fire, as explained below.

Jerusalem and the existing heavens and earth shall fall forever, passed away, it will never rise again Isaiah 24:19-23, dissolved by the Lords fire in Judgement at his appearance in glory 2 Thess 1:7-9, 2 Peter 3:10-13 all mens work shall be judged by this fire 1 Cor 3:13.

This will take place Immediately After the Tribulation Matthew 24:29-31, on the last day John 6:40, John 11:23-24. At the last trumph 1 Cor 15:52-54, when death is swallowed up in victory as it is cast into the lake of fire Rev 20:14-15, as the new heavens, earth, and new Jerusalem are revealed for eternity Rev 21:1-5. The order of events will be Appearance, Judgement, Eternal Kingdom, 2 Tim 4:1, that will take place in the "Twinkling of an eye"!

The earth shall fall and not rise again!

Isaiah 24:19-23 (KJV)
19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

The Lords fire in Judgement, dissolving the heavens and earth by fire!

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 (KJV)
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

2 Peter 3:10-13 (KJV)
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

All men's work will be judged by the Lords fire at his appearance!

1 Corinthians 3:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

This fire in Judgement will happen Immediately After the Tribulation!

Matthew 24:29-31 King James Version (KJV)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

This event will take place on the last day!

John 6:40 King James Version (KJV)
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 11:23-24 King James Version (KJV)
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

This event will take place at the last trumph, In the Twinkling of an eye, as death is swallowed up in victory!

1 Corinthians 15:52-54 King James Version (KJV)
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

As death and hell are cast into the lake of fire in the twinkling of an eye!

Revelation 20:14-15 King James Version (KJV)
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

As the former heaven and earth have passed away by the Lords fire, as the new heavens, earth, and new Jerusalem are revealed for eternity.

Revelation 21:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
21And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

The order of events will be Appearance, Judgement, Eternal Kingdom, as this event will take place in the twinkling of an eye!

2 Timothy 4:1 King James Version (KJV)
4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

ETERNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Christ Is The Lord!

So far, after reading the "responses" from those proponants of the false doctrine (that Jerusalem is Babylon the harlot) it's evident that they continue to reject and ignore God's word and instead of giving direct response to those simple and clear scriptures that show that their doctrine is false, they continue to ignore and just repeat this false teaching.

The premise I put forward in the OP giving scriptures remains simple

1. Scripture foretells that God will completely destroy Babylon and it will cease to exist (Rev 18)

2. At the same time God ,in many verses of scripture promises to redeem Jerusalem because it's the city of the "GREAT KING" (Christ)................I also posted a number of these verses in the OP

3. Scripture also shows very simply that Babylon is RICH, POWERFUL and has the support of the "kings of the earth" who have committed "fornication" with her and she promotes the beast to be worshiped "riding" on this beast during end times

4. Again at the same time (final end times) Jerusalem is SPECIFICALLY mentioned and shown to be the city under seige by gentile nations and armies (Christ's Olivet Prophecy) & (Revelation 11)........in fact Christ's Olivet prophecy shows that the great tribulation will begin with events that occur directly in Jerusalem when the seige of the gentiles is at it 's beginnig stages

These are the kinds of "red flags" that pop up when attempts are made in order to "defend" false doctrines

they cloud the issue with all kinds of verse which for the most part are taken out of context or aren't even relevant to the issue

they ignore the premise and the points given within that premise by not responding directly to verses that clearly show their contradiction

in short most of their "responses" to the issure are nothing more than non-reponse reponses

my response is again simple, if those that want to teach lies wish to convince that their doctrines are in fact not false then they MUST respond by giving sound minded explanations as to why these apparent contradictions (that they create in the first place) exist between certain verses

truth be known they will NOT do NOT because they cannot explain their own created contradictions in their false teachings , the simple reason why they do not respond directly to the true evidence shown simply and concisly in God's word

prophecy simply foretells future events..........God will destroy Babylon and he will REDEEM Jerusalem and Christ the King of kings will rule in His chosen Holy City
