Jon...have you not read the title of this topic?? The title of this very topic is about the NWO. Now since the title of this topic is about the NWO that is what we are to talk about i thought. If the topic was something else like lets say the Millienial Kingdom of Christ or something else about Jesus then that is what i would focus on. Jon...i have studied for years about many different topics within Christianity and outside of Christianity. There are other topics on this forum that i discuss with people without ever mentioning one word about the Illuminati or NWO...but as i stated since the topic is about the NWO i figured i would talk about that. Your interest in this betrays your mindset...you act as if this is irrelevant but you are very interested in this or you wouldn't be commenting.Yeah I do believe in Scripture... more importantly I have a pretty decent grasp on it which is why I reject conspiracy theories.
I see no reason why I should concern myself with the intricacies of fallible men and their supposed secret societies--Illuminati, Freemasons, Opus Dei, Bilderbergers, etc.
I used to believe in such things myself. I was a conspiracy nut, even before I got saved. Since spending more and more time with Scripture, I have eschewed such theories since they have no Biblical basis, and frankly, aren't worth my time anymore.
As I said, Scripture makes no mention of their role whatsoever in End Times prophecy. All I see are Satan, his bastard son the Anti-Christ, the Anti-Christ's number two guy, False Prophet, and 10 kings.
Before you get excited about the 10 kings, let me point out that they are 10 individuals from territories from within the former Roman Empire (Daniel 7:23,24)--specifically areas of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Also, they are not currently in charge of anything at this point, rather they become future rulers during Tribulation (Revelation 17:12).
Lastly, in regards to the Beast system, the Anti-Christ won't necessarily install a world government, he's going to install a world empire, the likes of which hasn't been seen on earth since the Roman Empire. Note the prophecies contained throughout the Book of Daniel and in Revelation 17.
Also, if you wanna get technical, Satan is not the ruler of this world rather the ruler over the realm of darkness (Ephesians 6:12, Colossians 1:13).
If we were having this discussion before Calvary, then yeah you'd have a point--Satan did at one time have dominion thanks him pulling it away from Adam via deception.
After the cross, however, it's a different story. (Luke 4:5,6)
As of now, Jesus is the ruler of this world (Matthew 28:18). He took it back from Satan. "All authority" means all authority... none left over for Satan.
Again, to be technical, the only reason corrupt and evil people are in positions in power are not because Satan put them there via mysterious networks on earth, but because God, in His infinite wisdom, allows them to be there.
For example, if you really think about it--Obama is exactly the kind of "leader" our corrupt, sinful society deserves.
The only reason Satan still has a foothold here is because so many of us still choose to live in the realm of darkness... so many of us foolishly invite it into our lives.
Thank God that's going to change soon (Isaiah 11:1-10).
Even if the New World Order did exist, it's only temporary. Even the Anti-Christ's world kingdom is only temporary. If the New World Order did exist, it would be replaced by Anti-Christ anyway, which in turn will be replaced by Jesus Christ. Praise His Holy Name!
This is the main problem with conspiracy theories in general:
Too much emphasis on evil, Satan, and the fallibility of man--all temporary things, mind you--and not enough focus on what truly matters--Lord Jesus Christ and His soon-to-be Eternal Kingdom on Earth.
Your comment betrays a similar mindset. Focus on Jesus, not on evil.
