Here are the typical weekly ratings for Cable television. Does anyone watch lame-stream media ?

Piers has recently taken to lecturing Americans on the 2nd amendment. I can't wait to he gets clipped. His show is horrendous. He must think he is on the BBC. Fox gets huge ratings. The Amish mafia is an anomaly.
It is the first time it was on the list. It is new.

Piers Morgan the pompous Brit is at the bottom as usual. It won't be too much longer before he gets asked to go for a ride and takes two in the hat. :D

Piers Morgan drives me crazy. I cannot stand his face. That constant smirk & speaking rudely about things he knows nothing about. Rewrite the Bible? Change the constitution? Sheesh.

Morgans days are numbered. He gets no ratings. Money talks.

I can actual tolerate Jon Stewart. I don't like his show, but he seems a decent guy. Colbert is horrid and I can't look at his face. :D

We can hope. He is a rotten replacement for Larry king & Larry was no charismatic guy himself.

^_^ I watch both occasionally. I don't think Jon is as funny as Colbert.

Gun control and gay rights did Rosie O'Donnell in twice--in her popular daytime show and later on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

It could do in Morgan, too, if he keeps focusing on it. There are lots of issues and lots of personalities out there, and he should cover all of them.

His position on gun control makes me like him more.

I don't know who Morgan is, but Rosie was rather obnoxious, I thought. I suspect her opinions had less to do with her undoing than her general demeanor did. If I'm not mistaken, Ellen is pro-gay marriage and in favor of gun restrictions, but is doing well. She's likeable. Oprah is likeable. Bill O'Reily, in spite of his shtick, is likable. It's very easy to dislike Rosie. Same for Bill Maher.

I liked Rosie for quite awhile.

She was so New York-ey--like a taste of home (I think it explained why I liked Law and Order for years, too).

She did a lot of good for charities. I loved the way she'd call people "cutie-patooties."

As a shy child growing up on Long Island, I would have loved to have had a friend like Rosie to defend me from bullies.

But she just got a little bit too "out there."

The last draw for me was when I was channel surfing on my satellite radio and came to XM All Stars. Howard Stern was talking to Rosie about her new girlfriend, and they started getting into pretty intimate detail. I was horrified but listened for about 5 minutes. It was enough...

I have always hated Howard Stern, but never more than when Rosie was discussing her new squeeze in great detail.

Farewell, Rosie.
