What I posted was that I thought the PETA campaign of dressing up as pilgrims and passing out Tofurky grabbed more attention and swayed more fence sitters than the pro life activist with the abortion is murder sign. It was my tangential response to the article on pro lifers getting naked, not an endorsement of exposing certain body parts.

Peta was not passing out tofurkey naked though. People dress up as elves & Santas when collecting for Salvation Army during the Christmas season.

There is a distinct difference in dressing up & acting respectful & getting nude to grab some attention during Papal prayer.

Or wanting respect & equality while dressed in arseless chaps & the other activities that seem to go on during these gay pride events.

I agree...and PETA created a inappropriate content site. Their respect for women is lacking.

If you're looking for inappropriate content, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for a reason to avoid meat that has its origins in factory farms, look no further. It was a campaign meant to get clicks and interest from a wider audience, there's no inappropriate content there.

PETA members get naked in public, I guess they don't need to be too explicit. I don't go to inappropriate content sites, so I wouldn't know about the PETA site. I read about it on a news page.

That's kind of what I figured, and I checked there to verify. It's links to videos like Meet your Meat, no sexual content.

I have seen PETA use sex to send their message, but their ads are no racier than the Paris Hilton ad for Carl Jr. While some are bothered by that, I'm a lot more troubled by the images in videos like Meet Your Meat or Earthlings, or art like that of Sue Coe. (Sue Coe, by the way, is a graphic artist who's art is also used to send a strong anti-war message. You can do things of real value without spending a lot of time in the scene, on camera or naked. I am not going to toot my own horn in this thread or anywhere...period. I do not need any member of any forum to recognize or acknowledge me.

No matter what pro-lifers do with signs they will be seen as disgusting or stupid by the left....

I think the visuals of an abortion are more educational than the visual of a man masturbating in the street.

But no matter what gays do they are infallible demigods.

As a member of that community, why do you think these people are acting this way? Do they crave attention so badly that they're willing to do anything to get it?

Are you referring to specific posters? I'm pro life, but still use the term pro life to refer to others who feel the same way.

I have spoke against male to female transgender people going topless on beaches after they have breath growth and I dont like "Gay Pride Parades" the way they are now, with the people going half-clothed. There is such thing as common decency.

Thanks for answering that question. I agree with the common decency statement. I don't understand why some feel it is necessary to be so brazen with their sexuality. I used to live down the street from a gay bar and had to walk past it to go shopping. Bar patrons would walk from their cars to the bar basically naked. (Short shorts with everything hanging out, backless chaps or jeans.) I was trying to mind my own business, but it's difficult when it's being forced in my sight like that. Then if someone says something, they get angry. I didn't understand why they felt it was all right to impose that on me.
