Never read Ted Dekker, dunno if I ever will.

I loved The Oath and The Visitation by Peretti. The last one especially, really shines a light on the "culture" of today's Christianity and it's pretty embarrassing. Really made me examine my own faith and it was hard.

I've not read any Dekker novels. I've read a lot of Peretti(Went on a kick one year and in 6 months I'd read all the books that our local library systems had - lived in one county so membership there, paid a water bill in another county so membership there.)

my Favorites would be: Darkness(This Present Darkness/Piercing the Darkness), The Visitation, and of course Prophet.

My least favorate by Peretti would be The Copper Kids series, his Veritas Project was much more interesting for YA books.

For people into the ones I listed I recommend Eli: A Novel by Bill Myers (It deals with a parallel reality where Jesus had not yet come, and death) he wrote the Mcgee and Me Series and the Wally Mcdoogle Series for kids.

Read some, don't remember them. I do know I was reading one by each guy and in the middle of both stopped and just tossed them on the shelf. Not my thing.

I avoid most of Christian pop culture. Skip by the radio stations. If I do read Christian fiction, I'm not aware of it. Or they are from some other place and time that I don't have any connection to. Or by some christian who was just kicked out and hated or had a serious problem like gambling or drugs.
