Freedom is precious, but because many choose to abuse their freedom and use it as a license to sin, that is on them as an individual and is not reflective of the country. In your spouses foreign country, as well as in our America, you will find both obedient Christians and others who miscall themselves Christian when they do not know Christ. Also it is important to know that "Religion" is "Not Christianity". Religion is man's rules and regulations with zero God involved: and Christianity is the soul's rebirth from Christ, and the relationship of the transformed soul becoming God's child.

I agree with this one.

To answer the initial question. I've seen many commentators make the claim America is quite arguable the second beast of revelation. Hmm I'm not completely convinced but the arguement does hold some stock from the historical interpretation of revelation.

If we presuppose the argument is correct then this is the text that describes it's qualities.

Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. Revelation 13:11

So if the interpretation is correct this country would have Christ like qualities in two main areas but also speak like a dragon. 2/3rds Christian view one part Satanic?

Maybe...

Just a though, don't beat me ;)

And all you have done is provide opinion. personally so what if he has tried to bypass the constitution. the question should be was that the right thing to do. that is all matters. seems some forget that the laws of the USA are not the same thing as God's laws. some may match but we are called to follow God first. while i wouldn't know as mich as a person who closely follows politics i know enough to see obama was the better candidate. that possibly could be because romney did not mention his policies enough or sell them better.

well if you don't understand the constitution or know anything else about America's early history, you do deserve Obama.

except if one makes a claim it is accepted practice that you provide support for those views. At no point in time did Obama swear revenge on the American people which is what the claim was. Yes he did make what appears to be an off the cuff remark in response to the crowd. Yes he had been using the 'Don't boo vote' line but to claim the rest was a planned scripted comment is to make claims with no fact to base it on. To claim that line as evidence he plans to take revenge on the American people is real head in the sand stuff. Basic comprehension skills tells you that. The claim is false.

he doesn't 'plan' anything, he's already done most of what he needs to do at this time. If the Constitution is meaningless, and it is now after NDAA, and if he shows a willingness to use executive orders to bypass congress, you literally have no defense legally against going to jail should Obama consider you a religious extremist. And we (religious extremists) are on his terrorist watchlist.

everyday that things proceed normally in America today is a gift of God because there is no law protecting the way of life that most of the population takes for granted.

They just won't see it, maybe we are entering the period of " strong delusion ".?
I don't know, but I have seen my country do a 180, in the wrong direction, and their
belief system is part of the reason. They don't know our true heritage, they would rather buy into the nonsense they have heard from lying lips. They all sound exactly the same, like they're reading a script . They've done this so long, they actually believe it now. We are the minority now, those of us who hold our God, our Christian heritage and our Constitutional rights dearly. This bunch would just as soon spit on us and our beliefs , as to look at us. They spew hate and contempt anytime one of us dares voice our opinions, if they could , they would shut all of us down.

yeah I think the moves will be made faster and faster, if you watch the way Obama and his colleagues are engineering the economy there will be no shocks or disruptions, just quiet moves in the background.

Ask yourself what if there was an outbreak of a virus or something? people would get herded into quarantine. Or if they engineered a civil uprising and then played it as a terrorist attack, then they could put those people into jail. Already most 'Christians' have bought into tolerance and non-interference in government.

The gate is narrow though, and clearly we are in the great delusion now, a very powerful one. It's easy to feel isolated watching this happen and wondering if anyone else out there is preparing for what is to come. Encouraging to see that some are getting ready for Gods next big push. Most have no idea.

I have lived in two countries and have visited several islands
and have relatives who live abroad.

Christians have become complacent not only in America but in other parts of the world as well-- perhaps they are bogged down by man-made laws, too much work or an abundance of easy living? Whatever the case maybe, it is clear that "we" have lost our much of our
respect and standing in our own communities due to complacency/apostasy etc.

However--
I am thankful for the strong mature Christian men and women who continue
to stand firm in face of opposition and or persecution.
I'm so grateful to God for providing a protection "wall" that holds back
the real evil until it's appointed time.
We have much "work" to do as Christians and being a "witness" now is
vitally important as is upholding the Word of God in our lives each day--
and helping a weaker person in the faith is so needed.

There is no such thing as American Christianity. Christianity does not have a nationality and America (if by America one means the United States) does not have an established national religion.

Im sure the OP means the 'practice' of Christianity , in America and its influence to a decadent American Culture (which in my opinion, is barely visible ; but that isnt necessarily the total fault of Christians in America....but rather an ever increasing move toward secularism and the appeal of hedonism in particular toward the Masses who willfully shun God and his principles for living.... reinforced by an out of control secular Mass Media pumping utter filth into an impressionable and gullible Populace --- with a Government completely useless and apathetic toward curtailing it)

So is this a retraction of your earlier claim that he is planning revenge on Americans or are you just contradicitng yourself?

He is obviously still wanting to see it but the planning isn't done by him, and never has been done by him

like many Americans, he wants to see revenge, not just plan it. This is what the second term is for.

the evidence is that he said so. Somebody else backed it up for me, no need to say anything in addition to this. People can try change the context of what he said, adding to it, but he said what he said.
actually no they didn't. they did say where the comment was made and watching video footage of it and reading the speech there is absolutely no way in the world any reasonable person could interpret that as Obama wanting to take revenge on Americans. To claim that is what he said is the only twisting that is happening. I ceretainly agree it wasn't a smart or helpful comment to make but from the context it is clear that he was saying take revenge on Mitt Romney for opposing something that worked and was good by voting. Please note I am not commenting on if the actions were good or not but rather saying what Obamas view of the program was.

We live in a world where 80% of the American population is like sheep being led to the slaughter.

I agree 100% with your second sentence, but not so much the first. There is a very specific type(s) of Christianity that evolved, let's say, here in America. From Pentecostalism to using Welch's Grape Juice for communion- there's certainly what one could call a form/type of Christianity that is purely American in nature.

I'm gonna have to go with you here on this. Obama is no different from big Bush, little Bush, and Clinton, in my book. He's honestly just continuing Bush policies, from what I can see. Not that I agreed with Bush either. The Patriot Act and NDAA are horrible.

However, Krugerpark, this Obama revenge mess is going too far. A good friend of mine had the President as a law professor. I'm told he's a very nice person and had great class discussions. I don't think Obama is out to enact an evil plan of revenge and world dominion on us all.

you guys voted for him a second time and failed a serious IQ test. Now you will see what he's all about. Watch the employment, deficit, civil movements, foreign policy, the whole kit and kaboo

you can't judge a leader based on how nice he was and how well a discussion went when he was a law professor. It's too bad it will cost lives and trillions of dollars to understand that.
