What is this all about ?? It dont look good though.

In 2014, The Obama Dictatorship Will Be Complete

It's called a blog. Written by some random guy, spewing the usual hate and venom. If he had any writing credentials at all, he'd be working for a legitimate news organization.

Shame though. I almost thought this was going to be a real story. Would be cool. Hard to do better than Obama. And we wouldn't have to deal with those pesky elections or obstructionists republicans.

PS. You can tell it shouldn't be taken seriously because everyone in the comments is just a ranter who this blog obviously caters to for views, as made obvious by one commented screaming "GOD BLESS WESTERN JOURNALISM" and the fact that, if this has an ounce of truth, the Republicans would have picked up on it and mentioned something, but as it stands even Fox News hasn't done a report on it. It's a conspiracy theory. Little more.

I did note this of significance, apparently from the CATO institute:

"According to the Cato Institute, “…by carving out a discrete list of limitations on the Board’s delegated powers, the [Affordable Care] Act implicitly gives IPAB otherwise unlimited power to exercise any enumerated congressional power with respect to any governmental body, industry, property, product, person, service or activity.” And just like Congress, the IPAB has been given the authority to appropriate federal funds and impose conditions for their receipt. This means “the Board could propose…to require states to implement federal laws or to enact new state laws in order to receive federal funding.”

Cool, that was done by a Republican throwing a hissy fit about Obama winning.

It is literally the opposite of your intent. If anything, it proves that Republicans are the anti-American ones (though mostly, it proves that the people who run McDonalds' are ridiculous...

How to detect a dictator:

In modern usage, the term "dictator" is generally used to describe a leader who holds and/or abuses an extraordinary amount of personal power, especially the power to make laws without effective restraint by a legislative assembly.

In social choice theory, the notion of a dictator is formally defined as a person who can achieve any feasible social outcome he/she wishes. The formal definition yields an interesting distinction between two different types of dictators.

  • The strong dictator has, for any social goal he/she has in mind (e.g. raise taxes, having someone killed, etc.), a definite way of achieving that goal. This can be seen as having explicit absolute power, like Sulla.
  • The weak dictator has, for any social goal he/she has in mind, and for any political scenario, a course of action that would bring about the desired goal. For the weak dictator, it is usually not enough to "give their orders", rather he/she has to manipulate the political scene appropriately. This means that the weak dictator might actually be lurking in the shadows, working within a political setup that seems to be non-dictatorial. An example of such a figure is Lorenzo the Magnificent, who controlled Renaissance Florence.

The Mind of a Dictator | Psychology Today

It is no coincidence that all dictators are men.
o develop into a dictator--in addition to theoretically having a hefty percentage of the 12 to 15 particularly aggressive gene variants and a dysfunctional frontal lobe and amygdale--an individual has usually also been seriously abused in childhood, and/or lost important caretakers, such as biological parents.

The pathology of the dictator's mind
By Girma Tassew / May 3, 2009

Let me first recap the Malign narcissistic grandiosity that is characteristic of all dictators and tyrants. Typical symptoms of grandiosity that can be observed in your typical autocratic ruler/megalomaniac like Meles Zenawi are:

  • Continual claims for attention and admiration
  • Cold and uncaring behavior toward others
  • Other people are seen only as an extension of the self to be manipulated and/or eliminated as needed; an inability to relate to people as people or separate from oneself
  • Inflated/exaggerated sense of self-importance.

Might be a good time for all the people who have harbored an unending and irrational hatred of Obama in the form of:

1.Secret muslim
2.Communist
3.Radical black-pantheresque type revolutionary
4.Kenyan anti-colonialist intent on destroying America
5.Dictator-Nazi-Monster-Creature

to get out while there's still time! Be afraid! BE AFRAID! Obama is coming for you!!!!

OOoooooOOOooooo

Or maybe, people could act like grown ups when the name Obama is mentioned?

LOL. None of the above. I'm not quite sure what to call him, but I have heard others refer to Obama as a progressive liberal and/or a crony capitalist. He certainly does believe in a strong federal government over states rights/self government.

(I'm referring to Teddy's post above).

I also thought I read somewhere that it is a sign of ship in distress...or some such.

I believe it is a favored metaphor for the Right whenever they don't get what they want.

What in the world are you talking about?

So when you said;

He certainly does believe in a strong federal government over states rights/self government.
.

I was focusing on "states rights" in your post.

Many feel that "states rights" were part of the causus belli in the Civil War. (Obviously along with such bigger issues as Slavery)

This is an ongoing and always present concept in the US but the Civil War kind of put things in favor of a strong federal government and limits on states rights.

Hence my comment that the South lost. We are not a "confederacy".
