• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I've been diagnosed with schizophrenia for 8 1/2 years. I am not a Health Care professional and I do not advocate a turning away from professional treatment, nor medication.

Through my experience and photographic evidence, I've discovered that others and my very own schizophrenia is hearing, seeing and being physically touched by the invisible spirit world. All can gain insight into this invisible world through their dreams and many have experienced this world without schizophrenia (I've seen Jesus, my niece dressed in a cloud of white and my Guardian Angel beginning to be - she had left before completion do to unhealthy spirits near by). I've witnessed and been persecuted by evil spirits, both human and demon alike, some seen yet others unseen, and often get deceived (psychotic, delusional, etc.) at the hands of these devils. They were brought into my life by the Holy Spirit as Temporal Punishment for my sin - drugs like methamphetamine and crack cocaine.

By the powers of the unseen world, I often see and/or hear the spirits of family and friends who are asleep and the fearful (paranoid) person, misinterpreting the invisible and/or visible, may believe that, these people while in body, are the enemy, turn against them, become hostile and possibly even lash out at them (violence).

I've been possesed by demons trieing to sit on gods throne and have had my free will taken by them. As a result, in punishment have temporally become a lieing, deceiving devil myself.

The powers of the higher devils have control over our senses as demonstrated in "messages from the radio and television". Also, I have been cloned in body and spirit by these most high alien devils.

God, Jesus, some angels and Saints have reached out to my broken soul to guide me in truth, away from sin and toward salvation to be delivered from this evil, our enemy, the devils. GOD BLESS YOU!

P.S. Christ went down into the depths of death so that "the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live". "The gospel message was preached even to the dead". He descended there as Savior, proclaiming the Good News to the spirits imprisoned there. Today, I preach the Gospel to and pray for the fallen humans and their deliverance. Ultimately, I pray for the end of punishment so that we all can be back together with the Father someday.

You truly believe these things? How do you know that your schizophrenia was a punishment brought on by the Holy Spirit? The Holy spirit is the Comforter. He is there to teach and heal, not torment. The Devil afflicts.

From reading your post, it sounds like you're under a STRONG delusion. if you have the Holy Spirit,(are you saved?) How then can you have been possessed by devils?

The punishments of sin
To understand this doctrine and practice of the Church, it is necessary to understand that sin has a double consequence. Grave sin deprives us of communion with God and therefore makes us incapable of eternal life, the privation of which is called the "eternal punishment" of sin. On the other hand every sin, even venial, entails an unhealthy attachment to creatures, which must be purified either here on earth, or after death in the state called Purgatory. This purification frees one from what is called the "temporal punishment" of sin. These two punishments must not be conceived of as a kind of vengeance inflicted by God from without, but as following from the very nature of sin. A conversion which proceeds from a fervent charity can attain the complete purification of the sinner in such a way that no punishment would remain.

The forgiveness of sin and restoration of communion with God entail the remission of the eternal punishment of sin, but temporal punishment of sin remains. While patiently bearing sufferings and trials of all kinds and, when the day comes, serenely facing death, the Christian must strive to accept this temporal punishment of sin as a grace. He should strive by works of mercy and charity, as well as by prayer and the various practices of penance, to put off completely the "old man" and put on the "new man."

What you say has some truth to it if a person becomes involved in sin, big or small they can be delivered over to satan for a time. The bible says regarding one who was in will ful sin. 1Co 5:5 "To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus".

Note the purpose of this act was to Save the person, to cleanse them from sin, when your life goes bad, you want change and if you are a rebellious person sometimes the only way to bring about that change is via punishment. However the last part of the verse must be focused on the fact it is for salvation. God wants us healthy and saved, and if you have taken the steps towards repentance that you mentioned then you can be restored to full health. Note the story of the man who was possessed by demons in the bible, he was so mad people had to chain him up, but the devils in him gave him super human strength he could break the chains. Yet when Jesus came to him he delivered him on the spot, he did not mention his sin. God is long suffering not holding our sins against us. Don't fear that you are still under a temporal punishment, that may well be the reason you got your illness, but you don't need to live in it any longer. Spend time regularly in prayer thanking God that he will give you a sound mind, that you no longer have to live in the bondage of mental difficulties.

Hi Srp,

I am wondering if you would like some help with getting rid of the oppression that is bugging you. Seeing you have said you have repented of your sins, or are trying to, I believe that the oppression can be broken. I will be fasting and praying this weekend, plus I can get our church to pray. It could be good to work together to see how things progress, and to get into some serious prayer if things don't happen straight away.

I am glad to hear you are doing ok. However I would like to point out some issues that you should consider. You mentioned you are still having trouble with sin. The fact is as a Christian God requires that we don’t have any sin in our lives. The bible says Rom 6:15-16 “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” If we sin we become slaves to Satan, which leads to turmoil within our current life, and ultimately eternal death if we persist in the sin and don’t repent. Knowing that God is merciful is good, but we also must know he does not allow us to remain in sin. He has good plans for us, plans that don’t involve sin, but involve his blessing upon our lives. God wants us blessed but he can’t bless us while we persist in sin. We all have to make a choice, to be either fully obedient, or not be Christian as the bible says Rev 3:15-16 "'I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth”. The fact is God does not want anyone in hell, so allow his blessing to come upon you. He wants you blessed, anything you gain from sin can be surpassed by the blessing of God. Don’t allow sin to reign in your body.

Hello,

Schizophrenia in it's various forms is in the vast majority of cases, a medical issue with medical solutions. I advise anyone who has or thinks they have Schizophrenia, to work through their medical practitioner and obtain treatment for this disorder.

God bless everyone during this special time when we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Faithfully,

listen to sacerdote.. this disease tricks you into believing things that seem so real.. but it isnt, its this terrible disease doing what it does... it takes away all reasoning and replaces it with delusions.
Excellent insight. There are a host of anxiety disorders that do this as well. We can count on them to tell us the worst things when we most do not need to hear them. But realizing, and continual realization that the negative things the disorders try to make us believe "are false" is key to making real progress.

God bless everyone and Merry Christmas.

What I find interesting is that out there in the world there is a vast collection of big time sinners, yet they are not put under any strong delusions.

These people tend to walk the path of lies and deceit, not the path of truth.

The so called Schizophrenics tend to be honest people who are above average intelligence and in general are not the sinful type at all. Most of these people seek the path of truth.

If a person speaks to God this is accepted as being OK in a big way.

If a person speaks to God and then claims that God spoke back to them and relayed information to them, then most likely they will be classified as being Schizophrenics by the medical community.

For instance, lets say that the God character told someone that proof of God's existence, and Jesus Christ's existence, was within the Bible itself but in a clever encoded format, would anyone listen to this person if he had been classified as a Schizophrenic, thus person being punished via strong delusions by God.

As I said...God managed to place both proof of his existence, and proof of Jesus Christ's existence within the Bible, and did so in such a clever encoded manner.

If you Google "BIBLE CODE INTRODUCTION 156 462" you just might find the proof itself.

If you find it, click on the flashing words "Watch / Listen", and let the webpage take you on a webpage tour of such proof.

When you're Schizophrenic, you believe everything you see or hear. You have to put everything about the Schizophrenic episode in the back of your mind. Don't believe in something that can't be real, just because you think God doesn't want to talk to you and these are your answers. You just have to make it up to him.. do something that Atheists would consider "drastic" but Christians would applaude you for. Don't just stop.. okay? He loves you, your sick.. and with the Bible, the Church and Christian Friends, it's all going to be okay. I love you, but God's love is on another level. Remember that.

"I've been possesed by demons trieing to sit on gods throne"

When you sin and acknowledge the sin, it's harder for God to say ok.. what do you want, Satan in control? Satan is a murderer, a rapist, a pedophile.. he's everything Evil. This just..at the end of the day.. blows God's mind. You know? You love me, but you worship him? It's a narrow path to Heaven.. and a wide path to hell. You need to do what i need to do.. don't acknowledge sin just because, but really mean it. Cry.. i try and i cant. maybe that's God.. no forgiveness or something. i know he's came back to me a few times and i've pushed him away.. maybe he just is tired of getting hurt. Stop hurting God. He has a personality.. but the main focus is Love. It's been that way from the beginning.

God will deliver you.. if you hold up your end of the bargain. He isn't some schmuck that just goes OKAY you're forgiven.. for the 99th time. Well he will give you so many chances.. helping is our only chance at real riches.:amen::groupray::thumbsup:

They're will be an end to earthly punishment, at some point. Is that what you meant to say there at the end? Trust me, I just want to be in Heaven and for the Earth to be over. That's what I pray.

There is no purpose to a strong delusion, other than a dark entity deceiving a person and masquerading as something they are not. Our very own stupidity could have something to do with it as well. The devil wants to be something he is not, so he will lie and deceive people into believing that he is more than what he is. Sometimes he may just be lost and not know what he is himself. This is what it is to be without God in the afterlife. We are lost, lying deceiving devils. Delusions are part of the character of a ruined soul in punishment. We must rise above our delusions and psychosis and see the truth. Through greater obedience to God and prayer, may our schizophrenia go away.

Hi! I am also new to CF. I've had similar experiences to what you have had. I started seeing demons back in 2008. Christ has definitely lifted me out of the darkness. I've written a memoir about my experiences with seeing into spirit realms. My prayers go out to you!
