(watching debate and this quote came to mind)

"The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. Europe has a set of primary interests, which to us have none, or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves, by artificial ties, in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities." George Washington

I like the idea of the US not running around the globe and policing every nation or waring area (that has oil).

I agree. That is why I am proponent of clear and renewable green energy. Solar, wind, tide, biofuels, etc.

This is silly.
I've been reading book after book (including Lex Rex) and I think I've taken a turn into theocratic monarchy.
I don't know how I got here, but I like it!

God would have to choose your King/Queen...or do you get to pick your own like a good democratic republic would choose a Pres?

Wikipedia says that Lex, Rex is anti-absolutist. Are there any Calvinists here who support absolute monarchy?

I know of two and they are both convinced Post Mil's. I wonder if that has something to do with it...I shall ask them next time we speak.
