There was another soldier in here who pretty much said the exact same thing. He was completely ignored by the social conservatives here.

Naturally, why listen to someone with first-hand experience.

The whole chaplain issue is really cute too, they are pretty much irrelevant to this issue and personally I could care less if they all quit tomorrow.

Frankly, I don't even See how any of what the OP is ranting about has anything to do with the Repeal of DADT. Isn't this something between a few Chaplains and the Upper Brass? Oh No, a few people don't Like another person's Position..... Now the Entire Military is Crumbling before our Very eyes!

Get over it already.

Besides, Everything I know about Army Chaplains, I learned from Watching M.A.S.H.
IMHO, every Chaplain should Strive the be Like Father Mulcahy. He'd never find any issue with the Repeal of DADT. In fact, He'd find a way to use it to better the Lives of those under his Charge.

Just sharing my opinion. Even when I was a christian, chaplains had very little impact on me or the units I was a part of. I haven't seen a chaplain come around my work area and say hi in several years. In my 8 years I've had that happen probably half a dozen times.

If they all quit tomorrow it wouldn't impact me in the slightest.

The actual truth
We've been through this already. There is no clearcut truth in the New Testament regarding homosexuality. I can tell you for a fact that there is no consensus on the issue, so again, what truth are you going on about?

What about the Old Testament? Pardon me if that has already been discussed.

There is clear cut truth of what the Bible says about homosexuality. And for the record, it's not your prerogative to limit people to what you determine to be the criteria.

You're Pardoned, It has been Discussed, And it has generally accepted that it's Laws have been deemed obsolete and superseded by the New Testament, which has no Law against homosexuality.

The fact that we are arguing about it is evidence that there is not.

I'm not in charge of the military and never said I was.

If the soldier comes to them, they should be able to tell them the truth

What about a Chaplain who isn't a Christian? There is no rule based off what religion the Chaplain has to be. What if he were a different religion and had no problems with gay people?
