The really bogus thing is the obstructionist tea party, I hope every one of those clowns gets voted out so maybe we can get something done in congress
Again, that isn't true. Some sources are untrustworthy not only in bias, but in fact. If you find that a lot of your cites are dismissed, the problem is probably your cites. It is a favored tactic of the left, simply discredit any source which makes any point in opposition to leftist ideology.
This is a bit different - it refers to signatures on petitions:
False petition signatures has been a concern of both parties - always have been. Trying to disinfranchize registered voters is different and what is happening in various states.
OK, how many of these proposed solutions have been implemented?I fail to see how making sure every voter is legitimate is disinfranchising. We keep hearing that, and yet it's just an excuse. Numerous solutions have been suggested to make it easy for low income and disabled to get the proper ID. It just isn't an issue.
Your right I approve as long as they stay peaceful, they do have some good points.nah...only when the two party system is knocked down a notch or two, will real progress be made. I commend the Tea Party movement for being peaceful and taking full advantage of the LAW in order to promote their opinions and views...
The opposite is true with the Occupy movement...but I don't see any disdain for them in your posts.
the OP said:Vote fraud alert: One out of five registered Ohio voters is bogus
"Vote fraud is no big deal, right? It hardly ever happens. It’s so rare that it’s not even worth discussing. Anyone who claims to take the integrity of our ballots seriously is cynically exploiting phantom fears for the purpose of suppressing the Democrat-loving minority vote.
To keep that silly narrative alive, it’s important not to read the Sunday edition of the Columbus Dispatch, in which readers were informed that “more than one out of every five registered Ohio voters is probably ineligible to vote.”
Furthermore, “in two counties, the number of registered voters actually exceeds the voting age population..."
Without solid voter identification laws, every one of these phony registered voters presents an opportunity for fraud – and of course, Eric Holder is dedicated, above almost every other consideration, to blocking voter ID laws. And vote fraud on this scale is not a mess that can be cleaned up after the election.
Vote fraud must be prevented, not investigated after the fact. There is absolutely no logical reason for a computerized society to tolerate thousands of ineligible voters on its rolls. The state of Ohio is not a third-world banana republic. At least, it’s not supposed to be one. The sacrifice of national pride, and even self-respect, required to meekly accept counties with 110 percent voter registration is astonishing.
The elderly and the poor have the greatest problems obtaining the ID required by the new laws. Minorities are disproportionately poor. Are you suggesting some races are not capable of obtaining ID?
The elderly and the poor have the greatest problems obtaining the ID required by the new laws. Minorities are disproportionately poor.
That may be, but as the elderly get elderlier, they often have problems with mobility. Getting to the state id office may present problems for those who are housebound, in wheelchairs and without their own transportation. The elderly have trouble getting an ID? That is simply a lie. The elderly are very good at having receipts from 1962 on a water heater...old folks cross their "T"s and do their "i"s better than any other group of folks.
How about just a place they can easily access? What if they could obtain the ids the same place that they would go to vote?As for the "poor", what if we went door to door, took their picture and sent their IDs with their next "my check"? Would that be fair enough to you?
You don't much like poor people, I take it from that awful tirade. The poor have no problem getting an ID...the self entitled lazy might have to get off the couch...are might actually do something legally without trying to beat the system...in other words, a new experience.
