Hmm. I thought the next big trend now that "gay marriage" has been mainstreamed would be polygamy, but maybe I'm wrong....

Hollywood director Nick Cassevetes came out in favor of incest in an interview with The Wrap.

The director of the popular romance "The Notebook" was out promoting a new film that features an incestuous relationship between a brother and sister.

“I’m not saying this is an absolute but in a way, if you’re not having kids – who cares? Love who you want. Isn’t that what we say? Gay marriage – love who you want?” Cassavetes said. “If it’s your brother or sister it’s super weird, but if you look at it, you’re not hurting anybody, except every single person who freaks out because you’re in love with one another.”

"This whole movie is about judgment, and lack of it, and doing what you want," he added.

Indeed. That's what they say----love who you want. Who are we to judge? Where's your tolerance?

Interesting. What hath "gay rights" wrought?

So giving a segment of the population their rights = supporting insest ?

Yeah.

In 1968 supporting mixed marriage was, to many, to support the destruction of society (they used Haiti and Cuba as examples of what would happen as a result of "race mixing").

Now, of course, we have a troubled society.

What has mixed marriage wrought ?

Crystal, parents have no rights, ya know?

And creepy perversity - i actually forgot incest on my list - my bad. :holy:

Yeah...it's just getting worse and worse morally. But, as the bible has foretold, this is to be expected.

Like in Timothy 3:1-5

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

*tries to be surprised*

*fails*

:(

Expect the age of consent to be lowered too, "because they are all doing it anyway", probably to 14 first and then 12 later. Essentially it will become anyone over the age of 12 can do what they want with whoever they want so long as they all consent.

We are going to get to the point similar to the early Church period, where the Church is a tiny minority surrounded by an ocean of depravity. It's not as if we are far off from that now. :(
Abortion on demand? Check.
Divorce on demand? Check.
Perversion taught as normal? Check.
Promiscuity taught as normal? Check.
Modernism infesting society? Check.

As predicted: the normalizing of incest and pedophilia...
Those of us who have lived with the life-long after-effects of incest find ourselves feeling concerned and disgusted but also inclined toward jeering disdain. That’s all you are? The big boogey-monster of countless nightmares is finally some sniveling creep too ill-informed and self-oriented to feel embarrassed by coming out and making exactly the arguments the Catholic Church predic...

And yet the issue of polygamous marriage is cropping up as well. It's in magazines, news articles, on television, etc. It is happening and with, as Michie mentioned, 'the anything goes attitude', it is not a matter of 'never' or 'if', but (lamentably enough) when . . .

And of course - denial - there is always denial that one corruption will beget the next.
That's a 100% given.

Oh, yeah. I have a twin thread to this one in the News and Current Events forum, and in sharp contrast to the posts here, most of what it's garnering in N&CE is either indifference or ridicule.

Problem is a majority of states had allowed miscegenation or did not have any laws prohibiting such marriages in the books. The only ones who stood against such marriages were the South, and even they were few and far between.

But even looking at such marriages, theologically speaking, there is no sound or logical reasoning that can be deduced that prohibits why a man and woman of different color should not be wed.

I can't wait till it legally becomes a right to marry my pet turtle and maybe also my goldfish. Its gonna be a fun honey moon! :) Hey they deserve benefits too! But the best is gonna be when we perfect androids and it becomes a legal right to marry a computer. After all computers are people too! And they have been treated horrible by us humans who do not recognize their dignity as we just use them. Give it time some liberal will argue this!

Don't think that this is so unreasonable. A woman married a building in my state!

About the insest thing. I agree. eww. But I guess it explains the book I saw today. I was looking for a nice *decent* book to read, and I picked up one that I thought would be interesting, but then I read that it was the about the love affair of a father with his daughter and I decided that I'm not really interested. Call me "old fashioned", but somehow that's not a storyline I find even a bit interesting. Sick maybe. But not interesting.
