Read this article.. It's years old, but still makes me very sad that God refused to answer this poor child's prayer despite how hard the boy fought and hoped God would come through. This makes me very sad that God turned away from him and refused to heal him. I don't know how I feel about this.

This is NOT a reputable source of news. The Onion is poking fun at Christianity. This is not a real story but a very bad joke. Don't trust the Onion for anything legit.

See, that's why I thought the website looked familiar. I knew such blasphemy couldn't be true :(. Why do people fabricate such nonsense? It really bothers me. I just have no words for that stupid website.

hardly that one who answered (to) the boy("no, you cannot get out of your wheelchair. not ever.") was the true God, only some devil can answer thus, and hopefully that the true God will heal the boy - it's a pity such a little child to be refused

Matthew 21:22 "all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

Now that the story is proven to be fake, here is a serious question. Let's say this story was in fact real, and there was a child somewhere in the world who was confined to a wheelchair, and this poor child prayed to the Lord everyday with all his might, and the child asked God to grant him the power to walk again. Do you think God would be physically capable of granting such a wish? Is something like that even realistically possible? Can enough faith do the impossible?

It's very obvious that the article is parody.

Yes. I have met people who have been made able to walk after prayer. I've met people who have been healed of blindness.

I don't know if it's about enough faith, though. God isn't Santa. You don't get your wish because you believed hard enough.

But I mean... How though? How is it realistically possible to heal the blind and even being able to walk again after being in a wheelchair? I don't think even modern science is that advanced enough to do that, is it? If God does truly have that kind of power, then that is really amazing..

He truly does :)

Modern science hasn't worked out how to create the universe, either. God is far more powerful then anything or anyone on earth.

The Onion is a hoax. The Onion specializes in printing satirical articles, or just plain lies, for entertainment purposes.

YES, YES AND YES. God has healed a lot people. People in wheel chairs, blind people, deaf people, cancer patients, even someone who has been pronounced dead came alive, and many more.

Nothing is impossible for God to do. If He could cause dried bones to come to life, attaching the tendons, and flesh and breathing into them, He could do anything.

We are the work of His hands, He formed us, He can do anything and everything. FAITH is important

In human wisdom, people ask such questions as yours, because you just cannot fathom how its possible, but remember God is not human. All power belongs to Him.
HE spoke, and things came into being. Sea, lightning, wind, storm, fire, stones all obey God. He only needs to speak the word, or stretch His finger or just his breath alone
Modern science has nothing on God. God's ways are not our ways, His powers cannot even be comprehended by our minds. He is that big.

Regarding that link, I started reading and thought, ok...then I got to the bottom part where it says God asked the boy to pray to Jesus or Mary etc whether he would have better luck, this is when I concluded its all full of bull.
Im sure this was not God speaking.

God may not heal someone so that His power can be manifested in that person in another way. Those who are confined to wheel chairs, and are serving God beautifully with many great gifts may be the way they are because God knows best and uses them for His Glory, but this little boy's story seems far fetched, very bogus and fake.

Even thought its from a fake site I should point out just because we want to be healed doesn't mean it will happen. People think of God as a genie all to often. He doesn't grant prayers always if its not part of his plan.

I've been disabled my whole life, at times I could not understand why. But I've come to accept it isn't my time to be healed yet or God has me disabled for a reason. Looking back though I can see how God has used my trial to make me a better person and I know have an amazing testimony to the power of God.

Of course. Once you get past Genesis 1:1 everything else is pretty much child's play isn't it?
