Thanks guys for your responses. I was just concentrating on the singer, Roger Mcguinn in the initial post and did other research on the actual author of the song which was a guy named Pete Seeger...Once I seen what he was all about, I dropped him like a hot potato...Seeger was an anti-establishment type of activist...a devout communist, he apparently was anti-everything and as liberal as one can get...If I get the story right, Seeger donated the song lyrics to New York University which is very liberal and the college apparently gave the song lyrics to the American Communist Party or vise versa...Looks like two thirds of the song royalties is designated to go to an anti-Israel cause donated by Seeger. Anyway, I am glad that the singer Roger Mcguinn is a devout Christian and as he said, he sings the song with a different spirit than he originally did in his earlier years...

Who Am I..?​

I'd gotten hold of Isaiah 1:19, "if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land," and I quoted it to the Lord again. I reminded him that I had earned $1,200 less than the last church I pastored had paid me. I reminded Him that my clothes had worn out and I was on foot without a car.

I kept saying, "Lord, You said right here in your Word, 'if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land,' and I am not eating the good on the land...My children are not adequately fed...We are not adequately housed...I know the problem is not with You because You don't ever change...Where is the problem?"​

The still, small voice of the Lord spoke to my spirit, my innermost being: "The reason you are not eating the good of the land is that you don't qualify...You are obedient, but you aren't willing. So you don't qualify to eat the good of the land"​

The Lord said to me, "Go back to the Book of Beginnings." (I knew He was talking about the Book of Genesis.) "You know I made my man Adam?" He continued. "Yes." Adam originally was the god of this world. He ruled and dominated it...That's the way I planned it...When Adam sold out to Satan, then Satan became the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4). I'm not withholding adequate food and clothing from your little children...that's not me! It's the devil...He's the god of this world. "The money you need is on the earth...I'm not going to rain money down from Heaven...I don't have any money up here...The silver and gold are down on the earth where you need it."​

Then what shall I do..? I asked..."In the first place," He replied, "don't pray anymore about money the way you have been praying.."​

"Number one, claim whatever you want or need, because it's down there on the earth...and Satan has the most control of it."​

"Number two," the Lord continued, "say, 'Satan, take your hands off my money.' It's Satan who is keeping it from coming to you...not me.​

I could hear it then: for years, angels had been standing around me doing nothing because I had never told them to do anything...Before the Lord spoke to me, I would pray, fast, weep, and cry and still barely skim by...But I got right up off my knees and went into the church. (I was staying in the parsonage next door.) With fear and trembling, I stood on the platform in that empty church and said, "I claim $150 this week...Satan, take your hands off my finances. Go, ministering spirits, and cause the money to come."​

I knew enough about faith to know that that settled it...There was no use repeating it, so I walked out of the church and back to my room...I received the money that week...I tested this out time and time again, and I got the money I claimed every time...​

What about your situation..? The same thing is true concerning you...If you'll follow these steps, it will work for you too...Who am I..?​

Amen! And thanks for posting it! I printed some of it out for future reference LOL. God is soooooo good Amen! I firmly believe that He wants to secure the future of all His children in these troubled times so we can be an example to those around us who know we walk in His light. What better way to communicate to others that this is the life to choose... or rather - 'Choose life'!

You know, you shook me for a moment about no quotes from Kenneth Hagin, Sr throughout the thread... well almost...There is one found in post #76 and #94... His quotes are very few but not by design though, and since he was the father of the "modern" WoF movement he definitely does deserve more...and thank you for the ones presented... I will have to use a score card to keep tract of them all... I guess I could have been more balanced... I will work on it... I may put up 100 quotes of just him alone, Lord knows I could find thousands...

This is just a thread I started when I first joined the forum back in January, (I think)... I think I began posting sometime in March, so I started with "quotes.." The quotes I do post are mostly "special ones" that I have kept tract of by listening to broadcasts or by just reading... If they really stand out to me, then I write them down in my notebook...If I hear a "special" quote or phrase on a broadcast, then I will stop and pause it and rewind and write it down...

I have no plans to just quote people, there would be zillions of them if I just did that... Only the ones that reallly mean something to me...Initially, I went back to the beginning of this forum to learn about WoF and to get familiar with the writers over the years up to the present...This thread (My Special Quotes) has evolved into larger quotes and very small teachings by some of our best WoF teachers... And I added the "Who Am I..?" a while back just to enhance the thread some...

I'm sure that I have just a "little bit" of foolishness in some things that were posted in the past four months or so, but we have to have a little fun, don't you think..? You will find that sort of thing throughout the whole forum at times... however the discussions in our forum can get very serious depending what's being discussed and then "playtime" is over...Then good teaching dominates and we renew our minds with the Word of God... then the "real fun" begins by our learning from each other... Again, thanks for your response and welcome to the WoF forum...

However, the quotes I posted are by a well-known contemporary pastor that isn’t considered of the WoF camp. However, I like to think of WoF in its broadest Biblical interpretation. Even including a WoF pioneer like Smith Wigglesworth, even though the term “prosperity gospel” wasn’t yet coined and probably foreign theology to most every biblical scholar of that period.


Dr. Mike Murdock (The Wisdom Center) is probably one of the most outspoken advocates of the “prosperity gospel” and yet he isn’t associated with the WoF movement. The same could be said of Gary Keesee (Fixing the Money Thing) and his interpretation of the prosperity gospel. Yet we would never associate their prosperity gospel teaching with the WoF movement.


Here’s a hint … The person I quoted wrote a book about the Kingdom of God being within us (Luke 17:21) and Believers advancing the Kingdom of God here on Earth. He is most often associated with contemporaries like Heidi & Rolland Baker and Randy Clark.

Hi Wayaok, I have heard Murdock and Keesee over the years, mainly Murdock though... Don't listen to them anymore... My list of ministries that I watch is way too many now...

I now mainly listen to WoF ministries since their teaching is all I am interested in... Heard all of the rest of them since the early 60s and I have found my home... I do listen to others at times when I have time though... Mainly WoF, even in my quotes that I post... I am familiar with the Bakers and Randy Clark but I have no clue who you have quoted... So unless they are WoF, that's where my interest lies...Murdock is fantastic when it comes to finances, but on the tube, he is being repeated over and over again, at least on the Inspirational Network or either Daystar, one or the other...

Gotta run, got fish on the grill...Yummy!...

Hi Wayaok, I consider myself still a rookie here on the WoF forum... My first post was on March 13 of this year... I actually joined on January 3...
Before I joined, I spent 4 months scanning through the entire forum to learn what WoF was all about... I very much liked what I have read over those months that scanned over several years, so when I did join in January, I decided to embrace the teaching and took the WoF icon... I was not actually WoF then... If one could compare, I guess I was 50% already in because of what I believed before joining... I have been saved all these years and never heard of the Wof doctrine... May seem strange since I was in an AoG church... I was very active, but nothing was mentioned about WoF...The faith movement, yes, in which I was a part of...but I knew inside that that was not all there was... After my 4 months of scanning over this forum, I knew WoF is where I am suppose to be...

Did God lead you here..? We on this forum would like to learn about you... When someone new comes in, I usually go to their profile and and see a little of what they are all about... a mini-bio if you will... This forum (WoF) could be your home and it would be dependent on what you believe... Suggest you to read our statement of faith and see how you line up with what WoF members came up with, along with our own forum rules...

That's why If a non-member brings up non-WoF ministries and wants our opinions of them, which is all well, but it may lead to a "debate" and that's not allowed... Regular members can do that... If you take the Bill Johnson question and start your own thread on him, you may get some responses from our members and go from there... I listened to one video of him and liked what I heard but I don't know him at all... Non members can go to the Spirit Filled/Charismatic debate forum anytime for that if your directed to go there... It is more structured that way... Some of our members hang there alot and get into good discussions... You need to do some searching to see where you fit in... Check out the other forums and see where your beliefs line up... and if you like what you hear up here, what you learn about us, and what we believe, hey, think about it, pray about it, and who knows prayerfully God will lead you to join us... Suggest you to take your time and learn and see where God ends up putting you... When I came up here, I was amazed at not what I knew about God, it's what I didn't know... Each month since I started on the WoF forum, I would renew my mind with WoF teaching on the Word of God, and each month I would increase in knowledge in what I actually do believe... Now that I have been in this forum 6 months, I am 100% WoF... No brainwashing, just rightly dividing the Word of Truth..(IMO) That does not mean I agree with all points of view from any of our best teachers... I don't believe in everything "I" say... but faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10-17) Eventually I do get it...

I didn't intend at this time to do a 6 month testimony of my WoF experiences and what I have learned on this forum, but looks like I'm doing it anyway... I was planning to do it soon since it has been 6 months...

Hope you can find a home with us so stick around and fellowship with us...
If you have any questions about our forum beliefs, feel free to ask and jump in and start a thread and introduce yourself...Christians up here are very forgiving, but if we say something that is not quite right... we hear about it... and at times we need some correcting... and at times, even the correctors needs correcting.. (Just having a little fun)

If our forum appears too restrictive, well, that is our safeguard that was voted on and incorporated in the structure of "our home.." It was necessary to structure it that way to avoid any further "war zones" by outside invaders coming in "purposely" attempting to rip us apart because of our WoF beliefs... We respect other forum doctrines, but we don't go down there and disrupt their theology that we don't agree with...

I hope this all helps as you seek direction, my brother...
