I forgot to mention why it's soooo quiet in my household... Didn't have the grand babies this afternoon "as usual"... They "usually" swipe "my" chair right away, and right away, they take over the TV with their girly programs...I mentioned that I was glad when the girly program was finally over, and to my surprise, she said that there were three more back to back....eek! The other one has the computer playing her girly games...
I can't use that either...And right away they are hungry... Don't they eat at home? They just got here!... There always in the fridge... One handed me a folded up wrapper of some sort and wanted me to throw it away. After opening the wrapper up, To my shock it was one of "MY" Klondike ice cream bars. I even had them hid in the back of the freezer...(You don't take my Klondike bars)...hmmm! I wondered why she stuck her tongue out at me...They found "MY" favorite chips... There goes "MY" Dr. Pepper!

During this time of their food and snack run, I switch channels on the TV...That lasted about two seconds...They caught me and came running in...Grandma finally saw that I was a little perturbed and she took one outside to play basketball, which was great...The other one wouldn't move....Is is 5 o-clock yet?? And the mess to clean up after they leave. Finally, they went upstairs to their play room...I go up to see how they are all doing and find a sign on the door...Grandpa, stay out!... By the time my son picks them up, they are wore out...They are not the only one wore out...

I thought I would have a little fun with this. As I said, I didn't have them today as usual. They were busy doing something else...Really, I think they know how I am...You think?

Actually, "most" kidding aside, ;)... They are a lot of fun...can't "wait" till next week. :yum:....

Blessings....

Jesse Duplantis

God Told Me, "I Want You To Go Into The Ministry," Oh Jesus, You Have Made A Mistake...There's No Way Possible...I'm Not Qualified...I Don't Even Like Preachers...I Don't Want To Be A Preacher...Forgive Me Lord, What Do You Want Me To Do..? The Lord Said, "I Will Show You The Way.." Lord, I Don't Know How To Pray...I Don't Know None Of That...Iv'e Been Around That Alot But I Don't Know None Of It...If I Go Into The Ministry, I Don't Know What I'm Going To Do...I Said, God...Don't You Undertand..? I Don't Know What To Do..? God Said, "Isn't That Wonderful..? That's Right Where I Want You, Because If You Made A Mistake, You Wouldn't Know You Made A Mistake, Because You Don't Know What You Are Doing... But I Do..."

Gloria Copeland

Does God Want You To Give Up Your WHOLE Life. Yes..! He Wants You To Trade Your Sickness For His Health...Your Poverty For His Prosperity...Your anxiety For His Peace...Your Sin For His Salvation. So Why Hesitate? The Truth Is You've Got...NOTHING TO LOSE...

So Many Christians Are Afraid To Give Themselves Totally To The Lord Because They Think They Will Be Deprived Of Some Pleasure In This Life...What They Don't Realize Is That The Things They Would Be Giving Up Are Only..KILLING..Them Anyway. The Wages Of Sin Is...DEATH...

Who Am I

The Early Years

Born to a poor family in New England in 1867, he grew up with little education. When he was dramatically converted in a Methodist prayer meeting at the age of 17, he immediately began to enthusiastically win souls. An obvious gift and passion emerged for the lost, which would govern his life. His gift as an evangelist began to bear abundant fruit. He also vowed he would become an educator. As he encountered the struggles that often enter the life of a new convert, however, He did not have the necessary foundation to stand. He had not been discipled in the basic doctrines of the faith and older ministers had infected him with doubt. Years later, he lamented the fact that he had not received the Holy Spirit in these early years, either.

So He gradually slipped away from the Lord. He walked in darkness and broken fellowship for about two and a half years. In 1893, newly married and living in Boston, he and his bride attended a service at the Clarendon Street Baptist Church, then pastored by the respected Bible teacher A J Gordon. At the service, the Spirit came mightily on Him and he forever gave himself back to the Lord.

He wanted to follow the pattern he had seen modeled by George Muller in trusting God for everything. Restored to his Lord and to his calling, he immediately began to win souls to Christ. Within a few months he was ordained among the Free Will Baptists and was pastoring one of their churches.

He pastored various churches in New England for a few years, and then started an independent work. He left the denomination so that he could trust the Lord completely for his finances, unhappy with the ways money was raised in the churches. He wanted to follow the pattern he had seen modeled by George Muller in trusting God for everything.

As He continued to minister, many young people approached him about training. He began to consider beginning a Bible school. He knew from his own bitter experience the necessity of grounding new believers in the faith. He had fallen away because of the lack of such grounding. Around the turn of the century, he opened the Bethel Bible Institute. Many young people came to learn the Word of God and the life of faith. It was entirely a faith work. No tuition was charged and the teachers were not paid a salary.Everything was done through prayer. Well educated Bible teachers gave up good positions to join Him in training young people and live the life of faith. Missionaries were trained and sent from the Institute around the world and around the U.S.

The Later Years

He left the East Coast in 1923 and relocated to Southern California. He preached for many pastors in the area and he was extremely well received. Miracles of healing were common when he preached. Eventually, He pastored a work in Los Angeles which grew to about a thousand members. He had two books in print and a monthly publication. An enthusiastic audience greeted him at each of his many weekly services.

He relocated a third time. This time he moved to the Northwest, eventually settling in Seattle. He resumed radio ministry which he had begun while in Los Angeles and soon found an appreciative audience for his teaching. Public meetings soon evolved into a church. New Covenant Baptist Church, Seattle Bible Institute and The Herald of Life publication were soon in full swing.

His writing ministry flourished in his Northwest years. He revised his first two books and published many others. His daughter Ruth, finished compiling two near-completed books after his death. These edifying books continue to refresh, encourage and illuminate those who read them, challenging them to possess all that Christ purchased for them in His Finished Work. If you haven’t read any of his writings, you will be blessed as you feast on his unfolding of our great salvation.

These ministers are either WoF or WoF influenced...Some of you will know immediatelly the idenity of this first person I am using, so please refrain your answer so others can have a chance to know who he is. Other ministers may follow if this initial one generates some interest. Also this would be a little educational for others who have little or no knowledge of the WoF founders such as myself...

thought it might be ff bosworth... but he was born in 1877... waiting to hear who this minister is....

Wasn't Bosworth, I could say just "one" word as a hint and you would all know who this one is...anybody else...

I hope this thread takes off a little cause There are many WoF teachers out there past and present that I can use and I will if there's some interest. The forum has been a little slow lately...I will try it for a while and see how it goes. I will be doing it in a way not to make it to easy and I will be weak on any hints...As I said, just one hint word would identify this first one...

Blessings...

would it be..... Essek William Kenyon (E. W. Kenyon) (1867–1948)

Essek William Kenyon (1867 - 1948) was an evangelist, pastor, president of a Bible Institute, author, songwriter and poet. He is best known for the numerous books that he authored that are still in great demand today. Kenyon’s writings dramatically unfold the glorious truths of the revelation given to the apostle Paul in simple, concise language. He wrote for the spirit man, addressing the heart more than the head.

Understanding the Father-heart of God, who we are in Christ, and the authority and privileges of the believer were central to Kenyon’s message. In his writings Kenyon calls the believer up and out of the mire of traditional unbelief into the deep, rich treasures of our redemption in Christ. Many lives have been transformed reading his simple, yet profound books.

That's him...I thought I would start out with the recognized father of the WoF movement. I didn't want to make it too easy to guess. I am guessing that there were some of the viewers that knew from the beginning who he was. What Kenyon did was inspiritual and educational for me as far as learning the roots of the WoF movement.

Looks like Kenyon passed on the year I was born...

It's going to be very hot today in my neck of the woods, so you have a wonderful and hopefully cool day...

Blessings...

I did not know this....

While doing my daily reading of my bible, I noticed something very familiar with the beginning sentence in Ecclesiastes, chapter 3:1, "To everything there is a season.." This is the truth...as I read this first sentence, the song "Turn, Turn, Turn," sung in 1965 by Roger McGuinn, formally of the Byrds, was going through my mind...I immediately done a google search to find that this songs lyrics were chosen by Pete Seeger, the author and writer in which Seeger took it from Ecclesiastes 3:1-9 word for word except the title and the very last sentence that I will omit...I will not go into Seeger on this post, mainly the lead singer Roger Mcguinn and only because Mcguinn is a devout Christian, in which he eventually received Christ in 1977. I will follow up with some of his testimony.

First off, I am in no way opening this up to follow secular artists of any sort. Example: I could pull up a youtube video of Elvis Presley singing "How Great Thow art" which by itself, does not mean anything pertaining to whether Elvis was saved or not in his last moments as was reported. This was special to me in my alone time while reading God's word how this song came to me instantly...

They say that this song with King Solomon's "words" to the "lyrics" was the oldest of any pop song to ahieve a No.1 hit in the Billboards Hot 100 chart with the lyrics dated to 1011 BC...Hmmm! What would Solomon think?

There probably aren't many devout Christians in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but Roger McGuinn, formerly of The Byrds, is one of them.

His Testimony... In 1977, I found a young man sitting in my front yard one day. He said Jesus wanted him to give me some songs he'd written. I thought he was crazy, and I didn't want to have anything to do with him or his songs. I went into the house and locked all the doors. Finally the man went away. But something strange had started happening to me. Another Christian appeared at a show in Oklahoma City. This fellow was grinning at me from the bottom of a flight of stairs. Normally, I would have ignored him, but I was high on cocaine, and I found his grin rather irritating. I asked him what he was grinning about and he said, "The Lord just told me that you're going to come to him." I thought he was crazy.

Soon after that, I ran into a friend and we ended up talking about religion. I told her I believed Jesus was just one of the prophets, and that all spiritual roads spiraled to the same peak at the top of the mountain. She told me that Jesus was the only way to get to God. I'd never heard anyone whom I respected tell me that before. Her words left a strong impression on me. Elvis Presley had just died, and that really shook me up. He was a victim of prescription drugs. I had been taking prescription drugs for years along with other drugs, both of which apparently Elvis had depended upon heavily. I was doing illegal drugs as well, and Elvis was only seven years older than I was when he died. I thought, "Man, I've only got seven years left," and I panicked.

The functioning lobes of my brain began demanding that I investigate what was going on spiritually in the world. Some self-preservation instincts were kicking in. Suddenly a horrible new feeling began to plague me. It felt as though an elephant was standing on my chest and my arms were as heavy as lead. Right after I began to experience this sensation, I met a jazz piano player named Billy. He was a Christian, and when I told him about the "heavy" feeling, he thought it was spiritual oppression. He prayed with me, asking God to take the feeling away, but nothing happened. The crushing feeling came and went.

One day I prayed, "Oh, Lord, how can I keep from feeling like this?" An answer came to my spirit: "Well, you could accept Jesus." I said silently, "All right, I accept Jesus." The "heavy" feeling left me and I could feel the Holy Spirit moving in me physically. It felt good to have Jesus in my heart. That was over twenty years ago...The Lord has richly blessed me with a wonderful wife and a fulfilling life. Our daily devotions consist of reading a chapter from the Old Testament, one from the New, a psalm, and a chapter of Proverbs. Then we recite some favorite Bible verses and pray for family, friends and nations. It takes from 45 minutes to an hour each morning, but it's a wonderful way to start the day...So I put a positive spin on all my songs and hopefully, with the Lord's help, will continue to light up the darkness in a different way.

I believe that when you search for God, he will find you. I gave up taking illicit drugs when I came to the Lord. Camilla and I agreed that you can't feel the Holy Spirit when you're high on drugs...I'm happy to leave the Byrds as a great memory. My Christian faith prevents me from being a business partner with one of the surviving members of the Byrds: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?" (2 Cor. 6:14). We always ask God to help us with our songwriting, and everything else for that matter...

I hope with all this, that I can put up Roger Mcguinn's video of the song. Roger says in his own words that he now sings it in a "different way."

Turn Turn Turn - full version of solo performance by Roger M - YouTube

To everything, turn, turn, turn.
There is a season, turn, turn, turn.
And a time to every purpose under heaven.
A time to be born, a time to die.
A time to plant, a time to reap.
A time to kill, a time to heal.
A time to laugh, a time to weep.

To everything, turn, turn, turn.
There is a season, turn, turn, turn.
And a time to every purpose under heaven.
A time to build up, a time to break down.
A time to dance, a time to mourn.
A time to cast away stones.
A time to gather stones together.

To everything, turn, turn, turn.
There is a season, turn, turn, turn.
And a time to every purpose under heaven.
A time of love, a time of hate.
A time of war, a time of peace.
A time you may embrace.
A time to refrain from embracing.

To everything, turn, turn, turn.
There is a season, turn, turn, turn.
And a time to every purpose under heaven.
A time to gain, a time to lose.
A time to rend, a time to sow.
A time for love, a time for hate.

Enjoy...

Just found out that Grant Jeffrey went on to be with the Lord on May 12, 2012. I had him on my DVR. Didn't watch him regularly, but kept up with him periodically...In my early AoG days, in the church basement I taught on the rapture on all four views as pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib in which I was and still am pre-trib. I gave at the end of my presentations a fourth view which was pan-trib, which means it will all pan out in the end...

They all got a laugh out of that...Anyway I would use Grant's thinking on the subject as well as Jack Van Impe, Perry Stone, Ray Brubaker, Hal Lindsay, Hilton Sutton and others in my teachings...I rarely listen to any of these teachers today much, since I now believe we will be here a while to do great exploits of God's Word in the last days as manifested sons of God...for those who are led...

I now believe that God is not preparing us just for the rapture. He is preparing us to manifest His Word and to occupy until He comes and to keep busy doing His work. My wife and I have met several of these teachers over the years. None of them were WoF and Stone and Sutton were the only spirit filled by our definition. I really liked Grant the best of the lot...so it does sadden me that his work was done. I did get a big "hug" from him the last time we saw him though. I believe some of you will remember him...He will be missed...

Grant Jeffrey

Prophecy teacher Grant Jeffrey has gone home to be with the Lord. Jeffrey suffered a seizure on Friday and was hospitalized. He was in critical condition until he passed on Saturday.

Jeffrey was one of the leading teachers on Bible prophecy and an intelligent defense of our Christian faith. He was the chairman of Frontier Research Publications, Inc. Grant's 27 best-selling books sold more than 7 million copies during the last 20 years. Bantam, Harper Collins, Zondervan, Word and Tyndale, among others, have printed his books in 24 languages. Titles include Armageddon, Prince of Darkness, Final Warning, Signature of God, Finding Financial Freedom and The War on Terror.

For the last four years, Jeffrey's TV program Bible Prophecy Revealed was broadcast twice weekly in more than 80 nations on Trinity Broadcasting Network. He also appeared frequently as a guest on TV and radio stations internationally. During the last two decades he was the main speaker in hundreds of prophecy conferences around the world. A passion for research led Jeffrey to acquire a personal library of more than 7,000 books on prophecy, theology and biblical archeology. He earned a Master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in biblical studies from Louisiana Baptist University. He was the editor of the Jeffrey Prophecy Study Bible. This 2.5 year writing project was his doctoral dissertation.

During the 1970s and 1980s, Jeffrey taught eschatology part-time at several colleges. His dozens of research trips to the Middle East and extensive interviews with experts in the military and intelligence field, including political leaders such as Benjamin Netanyahu and Shimon Peres, offered the background to the insights found in The New Temple and the Second Coming and Countdown To The Apocalypse.

Also, don't know if all of you knew that Evangelist R.W. Schambach Passed on at 85 Yrs old on 1/18/2012. Seen R. W. several times over the years in various places in our area...He was last at our church in late September, 2011...Two ushers had to walk him to the pulpit. That was sad, but his determination was awesome...I remember when I worked for the city and we were building a new waste water treatment plant and while the construction was going on, I would turn on the radio and broadcast Shambach all over the entire grounds intercom speaker system, inside and out of all of the buildings...

This was back in 1982...Since it was only a half hour, I got away with it, and returned to regular music when Shambach was done...I did lead one guy to the Lord during that time, and I ran into him at a Sam's Club a few months ago and he is still on fire for the Lord...He kept telling his family when we bumped into each other, "this is the guy who led me to the Lord." Wow, 30 years later...

Anyway, back to Shambach, he is surely missed...He may or may not be WoF, but he was a powerful man of faith...How many times we heard him say, "all you need is faith in God."

rwschambach.jpg

R.W. Schambach (TBN)

For more than five decades he boldly declared, “You don’t have any trouble … all you need is faith in God.” Now, the general of the faith has gone home to be with the Lord.

R.W. Schambach passed away on Tuesday of heart failure. He was 85. Best known for his classic gospel message of faith and power, Schambach devoted his life to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, believing for signs and wonders to confirm the Word. Through his ministry, the lame have walked, the blind saw, the deaf heard and many captives were set free by the power of the Holy Ghost.

"Legendary father of faith, R.W. Schambach, was received by the Lord to his reward Tuesday, Jan. 17, when his heart failed,” reads a statement on his ministry website.
“His life and ministry were a divine military mission, which began on a destroyer of the coast of Japan in WWII. He and his wife Winn served in international crusades, inner-city tent meetings, bringing countless thousands to the saving knowledge of Jesus for over 6 decades.”

Schambach preached the Word of God in more than 200 nations, and will be widely remembered for his gospel tent. Schambach traveled across the United States with tents that held between 2,000 and 8,000 people. “I remember going to his tent revivals and when he was in the Bronx I had the honor to work as one of his ushers. I praise the Lord for allowing me to be a small part of this ministry while growing up and the best part was talking to him and hearing him preach the Word of the Lord. I will never forget what a great man he was. Rest in the presence of the Lord,” Rebecca Garcia Escarfuyette wrote on Schambach’s Facebook page. Schambach received his ministry training at Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Mo. in the mid-1940s after serving in World War II as a navy boiler-maker on a destroyer in the South Pacific and Asia. His mentor was A.A. Allen, a miracle evangelist from the 1940s and 1950s.

“When he was interviewed on TV by Phil Donahue he was asked, ‘What makes you able to heal?’” a Facebook fan named Janet Tourville Dabbs wrote on his Facebook page. “Schambach replied, ‘If you would get saved and filled with the Holy Ghost you too could heal people. You could lay hands on the sick and they would recover.’ He was full of the Holy Ghost and boldness! He did so much good on the earth. Awesome man of faith and power.”

Greater works...
