• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I am overwhelmed with bad thoughts blaspheming All 3 members of the Trinity, rejecting Jesus' salvation, and exalting the devil. They interrupt me all the time every day, and I feel like I have to apologize for every one or I'll go to Hell! I am very eager to please the Lord, but I feel like one accidental thought might condemn me. I need help with my OCD desperately!

NO, clearly you are in pain and God knows your heart. He wouldn't send someone to Hell that cares so much about Christ YOU! But listen this disorder feeds off assurance like this. In time it may take yr's like me you'll understand that God is a loving God is not out to destroy you. If you want life Jesus said drink me I am the water of life. and if anyone comes to me I will by no means cast out. Just try to accept the anxiety and what it does because when we really get to what it boils down to it's that we don't want to feel the pain. But be grateful, your enduring the same sufferings that Christ did.

Jesus bless you, thank you for assuring me of my salvation, but how I can I tell real thoughts that I actually intend from Ocd thoughts?

Thats exactly what I'm talking about. You bounced off my response with another ?........This disorder can only be fixed by staring the beast down in the face and care less whether in tell you it's Gods talkinmg or me. Thats the endless cycle of OCD. You just going to have to let the answer and question float over you and give it no validity. In time your anxiety will get higher but then the thoughts will lesson and you feel somewhat normal again but your going to have this battle for the rest of your life. Might as well say oh well just got to deal with it.

Yea dabro thats the key, letting the thoughts just float over you. It is so tough because the OCD causes this extreme anxiety and the temptation is to get that reassurance. Attaching the ocd to the thoughts is also tough to do but its the right step also. When we get those moments of clarity we know the thoughts are from the ocd, but attaching the thoughts to the ocd is the big step forward for all of us:)

Art and Dabro, you are both in my prayers.:)
