Read up on it, it's a fertility symbol.

Jonathan, I have a PhD in Middle East and South Asia history. I know what things are fertility symbols and which ones aren't. This guy doesn't know what he is talking about.

He didn't call upon Allah.

He used the Aramaic cognate:

"Eloi Eloi lama sabachthani?"

Eloi is Allahi in Arabic.

What rock? The Kaaba stone?

Yes. The only way a stone can be a phallic symbol is if you carve something out of it, like Hindus do with their Lingayats. The Black Stone has never been carved into anything.

Ephesians 5:11
Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose and reprove and convict them.

Sounds like a good reason not to watch that video!

That's the way the Qur'an uses it. Islam means Submission. A Muslim is one who submits.
People following the Qur'an aren't submissive to God. Abraham didn't follow the God of the Qur'an. Period. He followed the God of Israel, who sent his only begotten son to die for us.

Still standing? Are you under the mis-impressionism it has existed from the time of the Bible until now?

Well what was Gen 12:2-3 referring to then?

Oh, Arab Christians love their land all right. That's why they want it back!

Prophesy has to be fulfilled. God is true and faithful.

Then how did they get it in 1948? The Arabs certainly didn't give it to them!

I believe God gave it. Prophesy has to be fulfilled.

Israel becoming a nation fulfilled Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteh forth leave, ye know that summer is nigh.

How do we know Israel is the fig tree? Consider these two Old Testament verses which identify Israel as the fig tree. Hosea 9:10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the FIG TREE at the first time:Here the early Jewish people are referred as the first fruit in a FIG TREE.

In the first chapter of Joel we read of a nation wreaking havoc upon Israel and verse 7 states "He hath laid my vine (Israel) waste and barked my FIG TREE". Here again Israel is referred to as a FIG TREE.

Want further proof? In Ezekiel chapter 36, God addresses the Israelites 24For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. The Jews have the best army in the world today, the smartest scientists, and live in a little strip of land that the whole world disputes because the nations of this world are under Satan's control. The nations of the world will bring about their own destruction because God said And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

These 10 Bible prophecies were fulfilled after 1948, when Israel became an independent country for the second time in history. These prophecies foretold of modern Israel's stunning military victories and of its transition from a desert wasteland to a prosperous nation.

1. Israel will prevail over its enemies

Bible passage: Isaiah 41:12-14
Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC
Fulfilled: late 1900s

In Isaiah 41:12-14, the prophet said God would help Israel during times of conflict with enemies (if the people have faith in God). Isaiah said this during a time when the northern kingdom of Israel had already been conquered by the Assyrian Empire. And the southern kingdom, Judah, was about to be conquered by Babylon. (The Bible explains that Israel and Judah lost their independence because so many of the residents had turned to false religions). But, since 1948 when Israel was re-established, Israel has been attacked by much-larger countries. And Israel has prevailed in each of those attacks. This prophecy has found partial fulfillment; Christian scholars believe that a time will come when all of Israel's enemies are destroyed.

Here is Isaiah 41:12-14

Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you," declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

2. The ruins of Israel would be rebuilt

Bible passage: Amos 9:11, 13
Written: about 750 BC
Fulfilled: late 1900s

In Amos 9:11, 13, the prophet said that God would restore the land of David. (King David ruled Israel from about 1010 BC to about 970 BC). The land of David - Israel - was conquered and destroyed by the Babylonians, Assyrians and Romans. The land has been in ruins for much of the past 2000 years. The Jews, who had been scattered throughout the world, began to return in large numbers during the past 100 years. Since then, they have been rebuilding many of Israel's ancient cities. Amos also said there would be continuous planting and harvesting. During the past 100 years, the Jews have been using advanced farming and irrigation techniques to turn barren land into productive farmland. Today, Israel is a source of food for many countries.

Here is Amos 9:11, 13

"In that day I will restore David's fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be,'' … "The days are coming," declares the Lord, "when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills."

3. Ezekiel prophesied prosperity for modern-day Israel

Bible passage: Ezekiel 36:11
Written: between 593-571 BC
Fulfilled: late 1900s

In Ezekiel 36:11, the prophet said that there would come a time when Israel would be more prosperous than it was in the past. The Bible describes Israel as being a prosperous nation during the time of King David and King Solomon about 3000 years ago. But, Ezekiel knew a very different Israel. In Ezekiel's day (he lived about 2600 years ago), the northern kingdom of Israel already had been decimated by the Assyrians, and the southern kingdom (called Judah) was being destroyed by the Babylonians. In the centuries that followed these destructions, Jews rebuilt the city of Jerusalem, but their homeland was destroyed again, by the Romans, about 1900 years ago. Since then, a majority of Jews have lived in exile. But during the past 100 years, millions of Jews from around the world moved to Israel and they have been rebuilding the country once again. Today, Israel again is an independent nation, as it was in the days of King David, and it is one of the world's most prosperous countries. In 1999, Israel had the highest per capita Gross Domestic Product of any nearby country, even though the surrounding countries have many oil resources.

Here is Ezekiel 36:11

I will increase the number of men and animals upon you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

4. Trees again would grow in Israel

Bible passage: Isaiah 41:18-20
Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC
Fulfilled: late 1900s

In Isaiah 41:18-20, the prophet's talk of a future restoration of Israel coincides with an occurrence in modern Israel - the construction of a vast irrigation system to improve farming. The lack of available water, including rain, is one reason why Israel had been a desolate, unproductive land during much of the past 2000 years. But, during the 1900s, when many Jews returned to their ancient homeland, they built a network of irrigation systems. And during the past century, more than 200 million trees have been planted in Israel.

Here is Isaiah 41:18-20

I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Does he really say "Lucifer"? (That is a real question; I am not likely to watch the vid.)

Like so many Christians he is apparently unaware that Lucifer is a reference to the king of Babylon, not Satan.

14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! 14:5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

14:6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

14:7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

14:8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

14:10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? 14:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

(King James Bible, Isaiah)

And you know this how?

People reported how they got abducted by aliens and when they called upon Jesus name, they were delivered.

I firmly believe most alien abduction stories are the products of imagination. Just like ghost stories, most of them happen at night when a person is awakened from sleep. This could be a form of sleep paralysis.

There is nothing about 72 virgins in the Qur'an. Besides if they were really virgins then you couldn't have sex with them or they would immediately cease being virgins. The word that gets translated as 'virgins' is huri, one of the few words in Arabic with no gender whatsoever.

Sorry, but gold is no more spiritual than sex.

What are we going to walk on then? It's a Holy city, so the streets are of gold, makes sense.

I know a woman whose grandchild or something, would wake up early in the morning to watch Cartoons. He was like 6 years I think. He watched a lot of Cartoons. He'd become really aggressive, and scratch his sister in the face, and other cruel stuff.

Must have been the old style of cartoons which were really violent. My mother wouldn't let my foster-brother watch the Three Stooges because he would start trying to imitate their behavior.

Revelation 12:7-9
7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Revelation isn't exactly a valid source for a Jew.

No we don't have sexual desires, if we live in the spirit, and walk by the spirit, and not in the flesh, and fulfill the desires of the flesh.

If they are that much suppressed they are bound to come out in your dreams.

Sexual desire is Sin.

So if your father desires to have sex with your mother that is a sin?

Premarital sex is sin.

Okay, but that's different from having desires and dreams.

(2 Timothy 2:22) Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Timothy was a young man, some say he was around 17-18 if I recall right.

Choosing not to act on your sexual desires before marriage is commendable, but pretending you don't have any will create all kinds of problems for you emotionally.

No. But it's obvious in this case, like using the mandorla as an entrance to the Mosque, that it was intended. Why would they use a mandorla, and not some other shape? I believe it's Pagan symbolism.

Muslims use arches as entrances to mosques not mandorlas. A mandorla is arched at both the top and the bottom, making it not real useful as a doorway.

The reason Muslims use arches is the same reason the Roman's invented them. They bear more weight than straight door way.

As for mandorlas they are mostly associated with medieval Christianity and sometimes Buddhism, but I don't consider Christianity to be pagan because they used them. As for that silver thing which protects the black stone, I doubt very seriously if Arabs even had mandorlas in mind when they made that. It seems to serve a very practical purpose.
