Men seek glory from men as they use their flattering tongues to deceive.
Their deceitful teachings and commandments are only for their own covetousness ….their lusts for other’s “gold, silver and apparel”. They do these things for “Baal” which means “lord, master”. Their master… Baal… is mammon. They love money and the things of this world. They serve their own bellies. One can not serve both God and mammon. They serve not our Lord Jesus Christ but their own belly….and by good words and “fair speeches” they deceive the hearts of the simple.

Romans 16:17-18 KJV
(17) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
(18) For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

All of their commandments are according to their own understanding (now they sin more and more for they have now made them molten images of their “silver”) and they say to their deceived congregations: “let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves”.

Let them revere and obey the commandments and traditions of men while laying aside the commandment of God. Religious men in high places seek honor from their followers as well as obedience to their commandments. You are expected to bow down and worship their commandments and traditions of men.

Hosea 13:1-2 KJV
(1) When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.
(2) And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

The “molten calf” preaches itself….for its own selfish ambitions….for its own enhancement of its reputation….

2 Corinthians 4:4-5 KJV
(4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

The “molten calf” speaks deceit as a covering for the hidden things of dishonesty . The “molten calf” handles the Word of God deceitfully.

2 Corinthians 4:1-2 KJV
(1) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
(2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

But we are to hear the knowledge of God in this last day and renounce these things. We are to take with us words and turn to Jehovah and say unto Him…. “take away all iniquity and receive us graciously, so we will render the calves of our lips”.

Hosea 14:1-5 KJV
(1) O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
(2) Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

The "work of our hands"....the commandments of men...are NOT "gods".

(3) Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
(4) I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
(5) I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

We are to hear and return to Him humbly…rendering the “calves” of our lips. We are to “kill” the “fatted calf” of our lips and humbly return to Him as the prodigal son did with his father. We are to return to Him with a humbled heart and humble words…..

Luke 15:18-24 KJV
(18) I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
(19) And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
(20) And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
(21) And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
(22) But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
(23) And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
(24) For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit….a broken and contrite heart……

Psalms 51:15-17 KJV
(15) O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
(16) For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
(17) The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Jesus left “Aaron and Hur” in charge as He was received into heaven in a “cloud”. These are the "two men" that stood by them in "white apparel".

Acts 1:9-11 KJV
(9) And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
(10) And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
(11) Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Jesus gave us a “new commandment” to live by as we wait for him: that we have love for one another. We are to be assembled together in love and peace with one another and not depart from "Jerusalem"....that status of "peace". We are to be complete in Him as we have love for one another and keep the bond of peace.

Acts 1:4-5 KJV
(4) And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
(5) For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

As He has loved us, we are to love one another. This is “Hur” which means “white linen”…that we are to be dressed in. This is the true “doctrine of Christ”. This is the true “Lord’s supper” that we are to do in remembrance of His love and sacrifice for us. This is the true “baptism” of repentance wherein we “fulfill all righteousness”. This is the true “tithe” that we are to give to Him.

John 13:33-35 KJV
(33) Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
(34) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Having love for one another shows ALL men that we are His disciples….His pupils. No other commandment ….but to also have faith in His Saying….. was given for us to do. This summed up the entire law and prophets.

(35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

We are to have FAITH in His Sayings: to have love for one another. The words that he speaks unto us (to have love for one another) he spoke not of himself but the Father that dwells in him. When we have love for one another, we are showing faith in Him. He lives in those who have love for one another. God is love that dwells in Christ and we in Christ.

He will manifest himself to us if we keep His commandments. He will show us any hidden thing in the Scriptures.

When we have love for one another, we show that we love Him.

John 14:
(21) He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

We are to keep His commandments…..to love God and have love for one another. We are to have faith….love His Word…..Jesus the Christ. When we have love for one another, he will manifest himself to us as the mysteries of the kingdom will be given to us that love Him.

1 John 5:1-5 KJV
(1) Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
(2) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
(3) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
(4) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
(5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

But these mysteries of the kingdom have stayed hidden because of religious man’s envying and strife and divisions…..not having love for one another. He could not speak to us spiritually but as “carnal”…even as babes in Christ. He has only fed us with “milk”.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 KJV
(1) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
(2) I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
(3) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

“Galatia” = “milk, white.”

Religious man has added to the Word by preaching “another gospel” and has “bewitched many” from obeying the Truth. We are to lay down our “religious” lives for each other.

Religious man has required more than having love for one another. He has added many commandments and traditions of men to the simplicity that is in Christ. The commandments and traditions of men turn us away from the Truth. Men fight and war over their own doctrines and commandments. The “customs of the people” are vain…empty and useless. They are the work of their own hands.

Jeremiah 10:3-6 KJV
(3) For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

They affix them into people’s minds with “nails and with hammers”…..teachings and words that do not profit their hearers. They appear “righteous”….as an “upright” palm tree….but they must be carried by religious man’s teachings as they speak no Truth. They are flesh and not Spirit.

Every denomination has its “tenets of faith” and its commandments of men that are to be worshiped by all that adhere to that particular “faith”. They are not “gods”….and we should not be afraid of them….for in NOT keeping them will do us no harm and by DOING them will result in any good.

(4) They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
(5) They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
(6) Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.

Though we have begun in the Spirit are we now made perfect in the commandments of men which are flesh and not Spirit?

Galatians 3:1-3 KJV
(1) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Did we receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?

(2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
(3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

When we fulfill all righteousness….by having love for one another…we have put on Christ. This is the true “baptism”.

Galatians 3:26-27 KJV
(26) For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
(27) For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Matthew 3:14-15 KJV
(14) But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
(15) And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

God IS LOVE.

“When we you knew not God” = when men are following commandments of men they have no love for one another for they turn them from the Way of Truth. Men fight…dispute…over their commandments of flesh which are not Spirit.

When we “wake up” to the Truth, we will no longer do “service” unto the commandments and traditions of men that are no “gods” that we should worship.

Galatians 4:8-10 KJV
(8) Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

And let us not return back to them…..back to the bondage of men living in the flesh.

(9) But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Let us not return to the commandments and doctrines of men who glory in the fleshly show of their acts of “righteousness”. Let us not turn from the “holy commandment”….to have love for one another…and return back to the bondage we were once part of where there is envy, strife and divisions. Let us not go back to the slavery in “Egypt” with all of its taskmasters.

2 Peter 2:18-21 KJV
(18) For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
(19) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
(20) For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
(21) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

We are to stand fast in the LIBERTY which Christ (the knowledge of God) shall make us free from religious man’s doctrines, commandments and traditions. They seek for us to be “circumcised”….that is, to obey the commandments of men which are nothing but a show of the flesh.

Galatians 5:1-2 KJV
(1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
(2) Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

We are to fulfill the law in ONE WORD: we shall love our neighbor as ourselves.

This is the liberty that is in Christ…. to serve one another by LOVE…..NOT serving the commandments of men that turns us from the Truth and leads us into bondage where there is envy, strife and divisions. Serving the commandments of men hinders us from obeying the Truth.

Galatians 5:13-14 KJV
(13) For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
(14) For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Paul withstood Peter to his face for a work of the law that was introduced to the Gentiles.

Galatians 2:11-16 KJV
(11) But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

Not only was Paul upset with him for withdrawing from the Gentiles because of the fear of the Jews….

(12) For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
(13) And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

….but he became especially upset at something that Peter compelled the Gentiles to do as though he was preaching to the Jews “by nature”. Paul uses strong words here with Peter.

(14) But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
(15) We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

No flesh is justified by the “work” of the law that Peter had introduced into the Gentile church. We are justified by the faith of Christ and not of the works of the law.

(16) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Warning: the following posts will disturb some. Please just consider what is said.

We receive the Spirit by the hearing of FAITH and NOT by the works of the law. We believe in what we hear…..the Word of God….. and receive the Spirit.

Galatians 3:2-3 KJV
(2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of
faith?

But once we have begun in the Spirit, are we now made perfect by the flesh? Are we now made perfect in following the commandments of men that are just a show of the flesh?

(3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Remember: the gospel of the “uncircumcision” (to the Gentiles who did not have the works of the law) was committed to Paul while the gospel of the circumcision (to the Jews who had the works of the law) was given to Peter.

Galatians 2:7-8 KJV
(7) But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me,as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
(8) (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

Yet, the very first Gentiles that were converted were done so by the mouth of Peter and not Paul.

Acts 15:7 KJV
(7) And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up,and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

But Paul was very upset with Peter for something he had compelled the Gentiles to do.

Galatians 2:11-16 KJV
(11) But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

Paul was upset in 2 parts here. First, he was upset that Peter and others withdrew and separated themselves in hypocrisy from the Gentiles because of the fear of those of the circumcision.

(12) For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
(13) And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

But when Paul saw that Peter had compelled the Gentiles to live as the Jews, he was really disturbed. What was this “work” that Peter had COMPELLED the Gentiles to do?

(14) But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
(15) We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

No man is justified by the works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ. The Gentiles who first believed in the Word by Peter’s mouth received the Spirit with no outward work involved. Will they now be made “perfect” in a work of the flesh AFTER receiving the Holy Spirit?

(16) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

So now we must go back to the first conversion of the Gentiles by Peter’s words to see what happened.

The incident that Paul was referring to is found here in Acts 10. Peter had preached the Word to the very first believing Gentiles and they had received it in the “hearing of faith” and thereby received the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10:44-48 KJV
(44) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

The “circumcision” was astonished at this.

(45) And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost
(46) For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Now that the Gentiles had “began in the Spirit”, will they now be made perfect in a literal “work”?

What follows is the “work of the law” that Paul was very upset at as he had questioned Peter about this: “….why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?” The first Gentiles had ALREADY received the Holy Spirit (being baptized in the Spirit) and then were commanded by Peter to be literally baptized in water! We are going backwards here.

Can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized which already received the Holy Spiritas we Jews?

Can any man forbid water that these Gentiles should not be literally baptized? YES…..that man IS PAUL….who wrote to the Galatians about this very thing. On the surface, the epistle of Galatians appears to be about literal circumcision.

The “circumcision” is really a reference to water baptism…the final work of the law for the Jews to end all works of the law. As Jesus said it had become us (us Jews) to fulfill all righteousness by being water baptized. Jesus fulfilled all of the Law and the prophets by fulfilling the final work of the law…being literally baptized in literal water.

Will those who have received the Spirit (the Gentiles) now be made perfect in the flesh of the commandment of men? They had ALREADY received the Holy Spirit…being baptized in the Spirit. Now are they to be baptized in water and be made perfect (cleansed)?

What God has cleansed by His Spirit we should not call unclean and require man to be “washed” in a commandment of man.

(47) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Peter COMMANDED the first believing Gentiles to be baptized in the water in the name of the Lord though they had already received the Spirit. They were ALREADY “baptized” by the Spirit. Having begun in the Spirit, will they now be cleansed by a “work” of the law that was exclusive for the Jews only?

Then the Gentiles who were converted prayed for him to “tarry” certain days….and so this practice of literal water baptism lives on in the Gentile church. It is a work of the law.

This commandment was for the JEWS ONLY (the gospel to the circumcision) as a means to “circumcise” themselves from the works of the law (from the law of ordinances) and enter into His grace. Moses did not cross the Jordan. The water baptism was the final work of the Law that was to be fulfilled. Peter taught something to the Gentiles that was meant only for the works-of-the-law keeping Jews (the circumcision).

(48) And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Who God has cleansed by His Spirit, man should not call them “unclean” and require a work of the flesh to be made “perfect”. The washing of the flesh does not do any good as we are sanctified by His Spirit after we have believed in the Word.

Acts 11 (8) But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
(9) But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Paul was sent to us GENTILES….the “uncircumcised”……to preach the good news of Christ, NOT TO LITERALLY BAPTIZE.

1 Corinthians 1:14-17 KJV
(14) I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
(15) Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
(16) And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
(17) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Who did John the Baptist preach to? Was it not to an exclusive audience….the Jews? Who was he baptizing in water? Was it not only the Jews? John baptized in the Jordan and this signified that the works of the law could not “cross over” into the “promised land”. Moses did not cross over.

Deuteronomy 31:1-2 KJV
(1) And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.
(2) And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

The Gentiles had not the works of the law to repent of…so to speak. They did not have to leave the works of the law behind (be “circumcised”…that is, be water baptized) in order to receive righteousness of faith for they do not have them. The Gentiles follow not after righteousness as the Jews did who pursued it as if it could be attained by the works of the law.

Romans 9:30-32 KJV
(30) What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
(31) But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
(32) Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

The Jews were to be “circumcised” from the works of the law in order to attain the law of righteousness. They had to detach from the works of the law and live by faith. The water baptism signified the crossing over of the Jordan from the works of the law to faith by His grace.

This was their “circumcision”….the final work of the law to end all works of the law.

Let us look how John the Baptist was dressed.

He had a “girdle of skin” about his loins. This signifies being uncircumcised….the foreskin.

Mark 1:4-6 KJV
(4) John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
(5) And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
(6) And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locustsand wild honey;

He did eat “locusts”.

The Greek word for “locusts” is “akris” which is the same as “akron” which means “the extremity, the uttermost top”. The Greek word for “uncircumcised” used in the new testament is “akrobustia” which also comes from the word “akron” ….which is not a coincidence. The foreskin is at the “top” end.

Can we see the picture emerging here?

John the Baptist was preaching the water baptism of repentance to the Jews who were to be “circumcised” so to speak from the works of the law. He did eat “locusts”….he preached “circumcision” to the Jews who were to cut away the works of the law and have have faith.

The water baptism was the final act of the law to end all of the works of the law and receive FAITH and the Spirit. It was the final act of the crossing of the Jordan into the promised land. The law and the prophets were until John…….

Luke 16:16 KJV
(16) The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

But before faith came, "we" Jews (Paul speaking to the Gentiles) were kept under the law shut up to faith.

Galatians 3:22-25 KJV
(22) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
(23) But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
(24) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

But after that faith is come, "we" Jews are no longer under a "schoolmaster".

(25) But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

What was the issue here in Acts 15 that Paul and Barnabas disputed with certain men which came from Judaea? Was it about literal circumcision?

They were saying: except you be “circumcised” TO the custom of Moses, you can not be saved. This was being preached to the Gentiles.

This was not about literal circumcision (Abraham ) but the “circumcision” of water baptism from the custom of Moses…the works of the law. This is about the “circumcision to the manner of Moses”. No mention of Abraham here.

Acts 15:1-2 KJV
(1) And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
(2) When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

And again….certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed said it was needful to circumcise the Gentiles and to COMMAND them to keep the law of Moses.

This was really about the command of water baptism….to keep it…that is, to continue to preach it to our children thereby passing it down from one generation to another. Keep the law of Moses….the act of "circumcision"…to continue to practice literal water baptism.

Acts 15:5 KJV
(5) But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

But Peter rectifies the situation. He stands up and supports Paul who had blamed Peter for the whole mess to begin with.

Acts 15:7-12 KJV
(7) And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

The Gentiles received the Holy Spirit without water baptism. Peter does NOT specifically mention the water baptism here in Acts that he commanded Cornelius and others to do in order to be saved. He is now stopped short the episode of the water baptism but simply says they are saved by the hearing of faith by the grace of God who had given them the Spirit.

(8) And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

He purified the hearts of the Gentiles by FAITH….and not by the works of the law. Water baptism = the final work of the law to end all works of the law....and was not given to the Gentiles to do.

(9) And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
(10) Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Through the GRACE of the Lord Jesus Christ we are saved and not be literal water baptism. This was what the whole ordeal was about in Acts 15. On the surface it looks to be about “circumcision” but it was really about literal water baptism….the final work of the law to end all works.

(11) But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
(12) Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

Are we really going to cross back over Jordan to the works of the law? After having begun with the Spirit, are made perfect by the commandments and traditions of men?

To be continued…

I push my fingers into my eyes...
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache...
But it's made of all the things I have to take...
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside...
If the pain goes on...
Aaaaaaaah!

I have screamed until my veins collapsed
I've waited as my time's elapsed
Now, all I do is live with so much hate
I've wished for this, I've _____ed at that
I've left behind this little fact:
You cannot kill what you did not create
I've gotta say what I've gotta say
And then I swear I'll go away
But I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise
I guess I'll save the best for last
My future seems like one big past
You're left with me 'cause you left me no choice

I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!

Put me back together
Or separate the skin from bone
Leave me all the Pieces, then you can leave me alone
Tell me the reality is better than the dream
But I found out the hard way,
Nothing is what it seems!

I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
But it's made of all the things I have to take

Like the old song from Peter townsend, Let my love open the door, a relieving of misery, there's only one thing that can set you free, and that's my Love. He is everywhere speaking always, a drawing back through our soul becoming desolate. The sword held but the two cheribum, the law and the prophets that keeps the way into the garden open. They agree in One.

this one speaks to me so much it seems. even if it is convolution and insanity in me, it still preaches to me.

Journey - Separate Ways

Journey - Separate Ways - YouTube

Here we stand
Worlds apart, hearts broken in two, two, two
Sleepless nights
Losing ground
I'm reaching for you, you, you

Feelin' that it's gone
Can change your mind
If we can't go on
To survive the tide love divides

Someday love will find you
Break those chains that bind you
One night will remind you
How we touched
And went our separate ways
If he ever hurts you
True love won't desert you
You know I still love you
Though we touched
And went our separate ways

Troubled times
Caught between confusions and pain, pain, pain
Distant eyes
Promises we made were in vain, vain, vain

If you must go, I wish you love
You'll never walk alone
Take care my love
Miss you love

(chorus twice)

I still love you girl
I really love you girl
And if he ever hurts you
True love won't desert you
No, No

I swear, sometimes I feel like some songs I have heard and new ones i find, like I have heard them before... before i came to the earth or when I was in my mothers womb. i know human beings have so-called answers for why this appears to me in my brain... but i just "lol". its the same thing with my scales, they don't change, they are always the same, men can't pierce my scales. this entire aeon is way to weak to shape my scales on my skin, to make the nature of the scales = not scales... is impossible... fantasy gets crushed, everything gets shaped and ordered. my scales are my shield. one of my scales says "Jehovah is Love"...

but woe to me if I treat others wrongly, it must die. forgive me...

Circumcision equates to baptism. We are circumcised without hands = buried with Him in baptism . We are buried with Him in baptism also WITHOUT man’s hands and are risen with Him through the FAITH of the operation of God.

Colossians 2:10-13 KJV
(10) And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
(11) In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
(12) Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
(13) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

What God has cleansed by His Spirit, let not any call it “unclean” and require him to literally wash the flesh. It is the “operation of God” and not man’s efforts that cleanses us.

Acts 10:15 KJV
(15) And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

But Peter had “compelled” the first Gentiles who received the Word to “live” like the Jews by commanding them to be baptized in literal water after having received the Holy Spirit and this is why Paul had “withstood him to his face”. Having begun with the Spirit, are we now made perfect by the flesh?

Acts 10:47-48 KJV
(47) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
(48) And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Those who would “trouble” us Gentiles are those who preach “another gospel”.

Peter’s gospel was specifically the “gospel of the circumcision” in which the Jews were baptized in water as a final work of the law to end all of the works of the law.

Paul’s gospel was of the “uncircumcision” in which the Gentiles who heard and believed were saved ….and cleansed….and not justified by any work of the law. We receive the Spirit by faith in the Word.

Galatians 2:7-8 KJV
(7) But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
(8) (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

Let us focus on the words “trouble” and an “angel from heaven” for a minute here in Galatians 1.

Galatians 1:6-8 KJV
(6) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
(7) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

The gospel we are to hear preached is that of Paul’s….the gospel of “uncircumcision”…the gospel of believing and being cleansed by the Spirit with no works of the law.

Paul’s mention of “an angel from heaven” is a clue that this is about water baptism.

(8) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Let’s compare Galatians 1 with John 5 and see some similarities.

An “angel” went down (presumably from “heaven”) at a certain season into the pool and “troubled” the water in John 5. The first who would step down was made whole of whatever disease they had.

John 5:
(4) For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

The “angel” or MESSENGER in John 5 alludes to John the Baptist who “troubled” the waters of Jordan with his preaching . He preached repentance to the Jews specifically. He was the “angel” or messenger that was sent to the Jews to preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. The law and the prophets were until John.

John the Baptist was much more than a prophet…..

Luke 7:26-27 KJV
(26) But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

….he also was an “angel”…or messenger. The Greek word for “messenger” here is “aggelos” which is “angel”.

(27) This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

He was sent as His “messenger”…or “angel”….to prepare the Way before Him.

Malachi 3:1 KJV
(1) Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

And all of those of the Jews who heard him, justified God by being baptized with the baptism of John. They were fully prepared to hear the witness of Jesus which was greater than John’s.

Luke 7:29-30 KJV
(29) And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
(30) But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

There was a multitude of folks waiting for the moving of the water at Bethesda….which had“five porches”. This represents the writings of Moses.

John 5:2-3 KJV
(2) Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
(3) In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

The “five porches”…the writings of Moses….stands as a witness against those Jews who did not believe in his writings.

John 5:45-47 KJV
(45) Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
(46) For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
(47) But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Another had stepped down into the pool before the man.

John 5:6-7 KJV
(6) When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
(7) The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

This would be the “publicans” and “harlots” among them who had went into the kingdom of God BEFORE the religious leaders and their followers of the day. The publicans and the harlots believed in John’s preaching and were baptized and so were fully prepared to hear the testimony of Jesus.

Matthew 21:31-32 KJV
(31) Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
(32) For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

The “angel” went down in to the pool and troubled the water at a “certain season”. This is what John the Baptist did and many were willing “for a season” to rejoice in his light.

John 5:33-36 KJV
(33) Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
(34) But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
(35) He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

But now Jesus’ witness was greater than John’s.

(36) But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

John’s testimony baptized with water, but Jesus…which has the greater testimony (the Living Water)…baptizes with the Holy Spirit. Once we have begun with the Spirit, we can NOT be made perfect in the flesh by being literally baptized in literal water.

Acts 1:5 KJV
(5) For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

In Galatians, those who would “trouble” us (troubling the “water”) are those who preach that one has to have literal baptism in a “pool” of water in order to be saved…… as “an angel from heaven”…that preaches another gospel unto us.

“Circumcision” is equated to “baptism”.

The literal use of water baptism is used as an opportunity for those who spy our liberty in Christ Jesus (for those who have received the Spirit and are cleansed by it) and to bring us into the bondage of man’s doctrines, commandments and traditions.

It is a “gateway” teaching to bring us into further bondage…..to introduce further teachings and commandments of men that lead us away from the Truth and into envy, strife and divisions.

Galatians 2:3-5 KJV
(3) But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
(4) And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

We have LIBERTY in Christ Jesus. Why frustrate the grace of the Lord?

Paul did not give the time of day to those who were preaching “circumcision”….that is, literal water baptism….and neither should we.

(5) To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

Many say that the water baptism is only “symbolic” but you have to do it. This is double talk. This is truly saying one has to do it in order to be saved. A little leaven will leaven the whole.

Galatians 5:9 KJV
(9) A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

To be continued…..

In Truth, We Live. In Him We move. In Him We have our Being. It's a word that is behind us that tells us to walk this way if you go to the right or to the left, good, evil, this is what is cast as the cloth of a mentrous woman. The law and the prophets are fulfilled in One, this Love who we walk in and this Love who walks in us.

9The elect shall possess light, joy, and peace; and they shall inherit the earth.
10But you, you unholy, shall be accursed.
11Then shall wisdom be given to the elect, all of whom shall live, and not again transgress by impiety or pride; but shall humble themselves, possessing prudence, and shall not repeat transgression.
12They shall not be condemned the whole period of their lives, not die in torment and indignation; but the sum of their days shall be completed, and they shall grow old in peace; while the years of their happiness shall be multiplied with joy, and with peace, for ever, the whole duration of their existence.

and now that I see the same words spoken, the same as the apostle barnabas. I now proclaim that The Epistle of Barnabas is clean to eat for you who have faith. Barnabas the apostle, worthy of that name.

Chap. IX. — The Spiritual Meaning of Circumcision.
He speaks moreover concerning our ears, how He hath circumcised both them and our heart. The Lord saith in the prophet, “In the hearing of the ear they obeyed me.” And again He saith, “By hearing, those shall hear who are afar off; they shall know what I have done.” And, “Be ye circumcised in your hearts, saith the Lord.” And again He says, “Hear, O Israel, for these things saith the Lord thy God.” And once more the Spirit of the Lord proclaims, “Who is he that wishes to live for ever? By hearing let him hear the voice of my servant.” And again He saith, “Hear, O heaven, and give ear, O earth, for God hath spoken.” These are in proof. And again He saith, “Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of this people.” And again He saith, “Hear, ye children, the voice of one crying in the wilderness.”Therefore He hath circumcised our ears, that we might hear His word and believe, for the circumcision in which they trusted is abolished. For He declared that circumcision was not of the flesh, but they transgressed because an evil angel deluded them. He saith to them, “These things saith the Lord your God” — (here I find a new commandment) — “Sow not among thorns, but circumcise yourselves to the Lord.” And why speaks He thus: “Circumcise the stubbornness of your heart, and harden not your neck?” And again: “Behold, saith the Lord, all the nations are uncircumcised in the flesh, but this people are uncircumcised in heart.” But thou wilt say, “Yea, verily the people are circumcised for a seal.” But so also is every Syrian and Arab, and all the priests of idols: are these then also within the bond of His covenant? Yea, the Egyptians also practice circumcision. Learn then, my children, concerning all things richly, that Abraham, the first who enjoined circumcision, looking forward in spirit to Jesus, practiced that rite, having received the mysteries of the three letters. For [the Scripture] saith, “And Abraham circumcised ten, and eight, and three hundred men of his household.” What, then, was the knowledge given to him in this? Learn the eighteen first, and then the three hundred. The ten and the eight are thus denoted — Ten by I, and Eight by H. You have [the initials of the, name of] Jesus. And because the cross was to express the grace [of our redemption] by the letter T he says also, “Three Hundred.” He signifies, therefore, Jesus by two letters, and the cross by one. He knows this, who has put within us the engrafted gift of His doctrine. No one has been admitted by me to a more excellent piece of knowledge than this, but I know that ye are worthy.

There were two types of messages being spoken about here in Galatians.

One is of Paul for us “Gentiles”…..the gospel OF UNCIRCUMCISION (Paul was not sent to preach water baptism)….and one was of Peter….that OF CIRCUMCISION…..who did preach water baptism to the JEWS.

Galatians 2:7-8 KJV
(7) But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

God worked effectually in Peter to the APOSTLESHIP OF THE CIRCUMCISION.

(8) (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

We can find this “APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE” in Acts.

Peter’s message to the JEWS who were in Jerusalem that were from every nation and tongue to repent and be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin AND you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. There were NO GENTILES in this group.

Acts 2:38-42 KJV
(38) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(39) For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
(40) And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
(41) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

The “apostleship of the circumcision” = the “apostles’ doctrine”….which is DIFFERENT than that gospel that was committed to Paul to preach to the Gentiles. Peter’s message was focused towards Jews only and REQUIRED WATER BAPTISM…..a final work of the law to end all works of the law. It was transitional.

(42) And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

There are many in the denominations which are preaching “another gospel”…one that requires water baptism in order to be saved. This “gospel of the circumcision” does NOT belong to us and is being used to bring men into the bondage of man’s commandments and traditions.

Galatians 1:6-7 KJV
(6) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
(7) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

“Another gospel” is being preached by many to those who are Gentiles and not Jews by nature. Why are many compelling Gentiles to live as the Jews do by forcing water baptism upon them….a work of the law?

Galatians 2:14-15 KJV
(14) But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
(15) We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

The Gentiles receive the promise of the Spirit through FAITH and NOT by being literally baptized in water.

Galatians 3:14 KJV
(14) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Again, the “apostles’ doctrine” is NOT THE SAME as Paul’s gospel to the Gentiles…..for it required water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…and THEN they would receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:38-42 KJV
(38) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The Truth is told by Paul to us Gentiles…. that“circumcision”….that is, water baptism…is of NO VALUE to us and will only result into bringing us into religious man’s bondage of commandments and traditions. Will he now become our enemy because of this?

Galatians 4:16-17 KJV
(16) Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Those who would argue for water baptism are those who want you to be zealous for them and not for the Truth.

(17) They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

We are to stand fast in the freedom of Christ….the Truth….who makes us free from religious man’s bondage and not become entangled again.

Galatians 5:1-2 KJV
(1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Preaching water baptism (circumcision from the law) is NOT PROFITABLE and is “another gospel” that should not be compelled upon people.

(2) Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

Those who will continue to preach water baptism after hearing the Truth of the matter are those who desire to make a “fair show in the flesh”. They constrain people to be water baptized. Think of the persecution that arises when you do not conform to their baptism….and the persecution that arises for preaching against it.

Galatians 6:12-13 KJV
(12) As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
(13) For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

There are not two sons, but a perception of two, there is only one son, God is not divided, he can not deny himself. The river that comes out of eden and goes into the garden becomes four, earthly and encompasses the land/earthly where the soul of man lusts after. The river that flows out of the heavely woman from beneath the throne/eden is one river.

Peter's perception of the vision was like the river that flows from the garden, earthly, we do not call what God has cleansed unclean. Isaiah saw it as the whole earth is filled with his glory and the temple as well. Baptism is a picture of something what makes it law is our covering, it turns it into the image of a man. This image was slain on the cross, where Christ gave his soul. The blood that was shed was the life of his soul. Christ was the image of the invisible God. He was returning to our Father and his Father our God and his God. He ws becoming Father by Father glorfying Jesus with Himself.

Isa 27:1-6 (YLT)
(27:1) In that day lay a charge doth Jehovah, With his sword--the sharp, and the great, and the strong, On leviathan--a fleeing serpent, And on leviathan--a crooked serpent, And He hath slain the dragon that is in the sea. (27:2) In that day, `A desirable vineyard,' respond ye to her, (27:3) I, Jehovah, am its keeper, every moment I water it, Lest any lay a charge against it, Night and day I keep it! (27:4) Fury is not in Me; Who giveth Me a brier--a thorn in battle? I step into it, I burn it at once. (27:5) Or--he doth take hold on My strength, He doth make peace with Me, Peace he doth make with Me. (27:6) Those coming in He causeth to take root, Jacob doth blossom, and flourished hath Israel, And they have filled the face of the world with increase.

step in the thorn God! Crush the head of the serpent, your heel will be bruised behemoth!? don't we belong together Lord?

Ps 74:12-17 (YLT)
(74:12) And God is my king of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth. (74:13) Thou hast broken by Thy strength a sea- monster , Thou hast shivered Heads of dragons by the waters, (74:14) Thou hast broken the heads of leviathan, Thou makest him food, For the people of the dry places. (74:15) Thou hast cleaved a fountain and a stream, Thou hast dried up perennial flowings. (74:16) Thine is the day, also Thine is the night, Thou hast prepared a light giver--the sun. (74:17) Thou hast set up all the borders of earth, Summer and winter Thou hast formed them.

Job 41:1-10 (YLT)
(41:1) Dost thou draw leviathan with an angle? And with a rope thou lettest down--his tongue? (41:2) Dost thou put a reed in his nose? And with a thorn pierce his jaw? (41:3) Doth he multiply unto thee supplications? Doth he speak unto thee tender things? (41:4) Doth he make a covenant with thee? Dost thou take him for a servant age-during? (41:5) Dost thou play with him as a bird? And dost thou bind him for thy damsels? (41:6) (Feast upon him do companions, They divide him among the merchants!) (41:7) Dost thou fill with barbed irons his skin? And with fish-spears his head? (41:8) Place on him thy hand, Remember the battle--do not add! (41:9) Lo, the hope of him is found a liar, Also at his appearance is not one cast down? (41:10) None so fierce that he doth awake him, And who is he before Me stationeth himself?

Job 40:15-24 (YLT)

(40:17) He doth bend his tail as a cedar, The sinews of his thighs are wrapped together, (40:18) His bones are tubes of brass, His bones are as a bar of iron. (40:19) He is a beginning of the ways of God, His Maker bringeth nigh his sword; (40:20) For food do mountains bear for him, And all the beasts of the field play there. (40:21) Under shades he lieth down, In a secret place of reed and mire. (40:22) Cover him do shades, with their shadow, Cover him do willows of the brook. (40:23) Lo, a flood oppresseth--he doth not haste, He is confident though Jordan Doth come forth unto his mouth. (40:24) Before his eyes doth one take him, With snares doth one pierce the nose?

LX. Book of Noah--a Fragment.
Quaking of Heaven: Behemoth and Leviathan: the Elements.

CHAPTER LX.
1. In the year five hundred, in the seventh month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the life of †Enoch†. In that Parable I saw how a mighty quaking made the heaven of heavens to quake, and the host of the Most High, and the angels, a thousand thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand, were disquieted with a great disquiet. 2. And the Head of Days sat on the throne of His glory, and the angels and the righteous stood around Him.

3. And a great trembling seized me,
And fear took hold of me,
And my loins gave way,
And dissolved were my reins,
And I fell upon my face.

4 And Michael sent another angel from among the holy ones and he raised me up, and when he had raised me up my spirit returned; for I had not been able to endure the look of this host, and the commotion and the quaking of the heaven. And Michael said unto me: 'Why art thou disquieted with such a vision? Until this day lasted the day of His mercy; and He hath been merciful and long-suffering towards those who dwell on the earth. 6. And when the day, and the power, and the punishment, and the judgement come, which the Lord of Spirits hath prepared for those who worship not the righteous law, and for those who deny the righteous judgement, and for those who take His name in vain--that day is prepared, for the elect a covenant, but for sinners an inquisition.

25. When the punishment of the Lord of Spirits shall rest upon them, it shall rest in order that the punishment of the Lord of Spirits may not come, in vain, and it shall slay the children with their mothers and the children with their fathers. Afterwards the judgement shall take place according to His mercy and His patience.'

7. And on that day were two monsters parted, a female monster named Leviathan, to dwell in the abysses of the ocean over the fountains of the waters. 8. But the male is named Behemoth, who occupied with his breast a waste wilderness named †Dûidâin†, on the east of the garden where the elect and righteous dwell, where my grandfather was taken up, the seventh from Adam, the first man whom the Lord of Spirits created. 9. And I besought the other angel that he should show me the might of those monsters, how they were parted on one day and cast, the one into the abysses of the sea, and the other unto the dry land of the wilderness. 10. And he said to me: 'Thou son of man, herein thou dost seek to know what is hidden.'

11. And the other angel who went with me and showed me what was hidden told me what is first and last in the heaven in the height, and beneath the earth in the depth, and at the ends of the heaven, and on the foundation of the heaven. 12. And the chambers of the winds, and how the winds are divided, and how they are weighed, and (how) the portals of the winds are reckoned, each according to the power of the wind, and the power of the lights of the moon, and according to the power that is fitting: and the divisions of the stars according to their names, and how all the divisions are divided. 13. And the thunders according to the places where they fall, and all the divisions that are made among the lightnings that it may lighten, and their host that they may at once obey. 14. For the thunder has †places of rest† (which) are assigned (to it) while it is waiting for its peal; and the thunder and lightning are inseparable, and although not one and undivided, they both go together through the spirit and separate not. 15. For when the lightning lightens, the thunder utters its voice, and the spirit enforces a pause during the peal, and divides equally between them; for the treasury of their peals is like the sand, and each one of them as it peals is held in with a bridle, and turned back by the power of the spirit, and pushed forward according to the many quarters of the earth. And the spirit of the sea is masculine and strong, and according to the might of his strength he draws it back with a rein, and in like manner it is driven forward and disperses amid all the mountains of the earth. 17. And the spirit of the hoar-frost is his own angel, and the spirit of the hail is a good angel. 18. And the spirit of the snow has forsaken his chambers on account of his strength--There is a special spirit therein, and that which ascends from it is like smoke, and its name is frost. 19. And the spirit of the mist is not united with them in their chambers, but it has a special chamber; for its course is †glorious† both in light and in darkness, and in winter and in summer, and in its chamber is an angel. 20. And the spirit of the dew has its dwelling at the ends of the heaven, and is connected with the chambers of the rain, and its course is in winter and summer: and its clouds and the clouds of the mist are connected, and the one gives to the other. 21. And when the spirit of the rain goes forth from its chamber, the angels come and open the chamber and lead it out, and when it is diffused over the whole earth it unites with the water on the earth. And whensoever it unites with the water on the earth . . . 22. For the waters are for those who dwell on the earth; for they are nourishment for the earth from the Most High who is in heaven: therefore there is a measure for the rain, and the angels take it in charge. 23. And these things I saw towards the Garden of the Righteous. 24. And the angel of peace who was with me said to me: 'These two monsters, prepared conformably to the greatness of God, shall feed . . .

According to II Esdras vi. 49-53, God created on the fifth day the two great monsters, leviathan and behemoth, and He separated them because the seventh part of the world which was assigned to the water could not hold them together, and He gave to the behemoth that part which was dried up on the third day and had the thousand mountains which, according to Ps. i. 10, as understood by the haggadists ("the behemoth [A. V. "cattle"] upon a thousand hills"; comp. Lev. R. xxii.; Num. R. xxi.; and Job xl. 20), furnish behemoth with the necessary food. To the leviathan God gave the seventh part of the earth filled with water; and He reserved it for the future to reveal by whom and at what time the leviathan and the behemoth should be eaten.

Paul was not sent to baptize people in water but to preach the gospel. Why then are there many preaching one must have literal water baptism in order to be saved?

1 Corinthians 1:17 KJV
(17) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Religious man must humble himself to the knowledge of God so that he may be saved.

(18) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

The “preaching of the cross” is the message to humble ourselves as Jesus did. Our thoughts and ways are not His thoughts and ways. We are to humble ourselves and receive His Truth.

Philippians 2:5-11 KJV
(5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
(6) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Jesus “emptied” himself. Can religious man follow suit and “empty” himself of his own wisdom…his own commandments and traditions?

(7) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
(8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Those who can humble themselves will be exalted by Him. We follow the same pattern as Jesus set forth before us.

(9) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

Luke 14:11 KJV
(11) For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Not everyone in the church will humble themselves in this coming time but will exalt themselves in their own knowledge against His Truth. They will seek to hang on to “water baptism” and all of the other commandments that were never meant for the Gentiles. “Circumcision” is equated to baptism.

Philippians 3:2-10 KJV
(2) Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

We are the “circumcision” which serve God in the Spirit and rejoice in the Truth…in Christ Jesus and have NO confidence in the flesh. Will we really have confidence in water baptism….will we really rely on observing certain days….or on tithing…or on the partaking of a literal Lord’s supper? Will we frustrate the grace of God with the works of the law?

(3) For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Paul was the prime example of having confidence in the flesh before he was converted.

(4) Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
(5) Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
(6) Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

But the things that were once considered gain to him he now counted as loss for Christ.

So should religious men do likewise who have had their confidence in the works of their own hands….the commandments and traditions of men. We are to count these things as a loss. We are to lose these things. The Truth shall set us free from the bondage of men….but we must “lose our lives” to save them. We must suffer the “loss of all things”…..our own cherished religious thoughts and ways. We are not to carry them out with us but leave it all behind. DON’T LOOK BACK.

Paul called these religious things “dung” that he suffered the loss of….only he does not use a nice word here but a very strong one. He uses the Greek equivalent (skubala) of the English word “sh**” that has the same connotations!

(7) But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
(8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
(9) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
(10) That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

The preaching of “circumcision”…..that is, literal water baptism….is a means to bring many into the bondage of religious men. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

Galatians 2:3-4 KJV
(3) But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
(4) And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

They zealously affect you….that you must be water baptized to be saved. They preach these things to keep you from the Truth of Paul’s message….. “they would exclude you”. They want you to be zealous for them and not for what is truly being said.

Galatians 4:17 KJV
(17) They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

In order to be a member /prisoner of their club/prison, you must go through the ceremonial rite of water baptism which leads you down the wrong path to the bondage of man’s commandments and doctrines. Then you are “free” to tithe and “free” to observe their days and “free” to partake of their communion as now you will be a full “member”. Do we really desire to be under the law?

Galatians 4:21 KJV
(21) Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

After having begun in the Spirit, are we now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 3:3 KJV
(3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

By requiring people to be water baptized is like saying one is unclean even after God has cleansed us by His Spirit. It is the operation of God that cleanses man and not man’s “hand”….his works.

Acts 11:9-10 KJV
(9) But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
(10) And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

The Holy Spirit fell upon the very first Gentiles WITHOUT first being water baptized. They heard the Word and BELIEVED in it…..and that was enough.

Acts 10:44-48 KJV
(44) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

This is one of the reasons why the “circumcision” was astonished. The Gentiles had received the Spirit as they did only they were not water baptized per the “apostle’s doctrine”.

(45) And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(46) For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

But then here is why Paul was really upset with Peter in Galatians. Will we really be made perfect in the flesh after having begun in the Spirit?

(47) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
(48) And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Paul is the man who “forbids water”….

Galatians 5:2 KJV
(2) Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

Jesus baptizes us with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

Luke 3:16-17 KJV
(16) John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

The “chaff”….those who will not believe in the Word of Truth…will be burned with fire as they will speak evil in their wrath of those who are escaping from them.

(17) Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

And our faith in the Truth shall be tested by them as they will seek to seduce us back into their congregations with feigned words……and as they will “persecute” us with their evil words. But we are to be kept by the power of God through FAITH unto salvation as we escape from those living in error.

1 Peter 1:5-9 KJV
(5) Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
(6) Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

The “fire” will be the trial of our faith by those who will not understand why we will no longer “run” with them in their “church” and their doctrines, commandments and traditions. As Jesus was led into the “desert” by the Spirit, we also shall be led away from them only to be tested by the unbelievers’ words.

(7) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
(8) Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
(9) Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

We are to “stand firm on dry ground”….that is on the “desert”…in FAITH as we escape from those living in error.

Joshua 3:17 KJV
(17) And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.

Through covetousness shall they with feigned words seek to make us merchandise….just as Jesus was tempted in the desert. We are to stand firm in faith.

Luke 4:5-8 KJV
(5) And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
(6) And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
(7) If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
(8) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

2 Peter 2:3 KJV
(3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned wordsmake merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

With great swelling words of vanity will they attempt to lure us back…..

2 Peter 2:18-19 KJV
(18) For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
(19) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

He that shall humble himself shall be exalted by God.

We are to humble ourselves to His revealed Truth and not render evil for evil to those who will not agree with the Truth. By humbling ourselves, we are baptized into his death. “Jordan” means “descender”. We humble ourselves in the knowledge of God and He shall exalt us….. the “resurrection”.

Matthew 23:11-12 KJV
(11) But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
(12) And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Jesus was faithful unto death….as we should also toward those who will be “perishing” inside because they will not receive the love of the Truth and will revile us. We are to be silent as Jesus was…not rendering evil for their evil. Then when He will exalt us, we shall also be in the likeness of Jesus in the resurrection…the exalting of the humble.

Romans 6:3-5 KJV
(3) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
(4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
(5) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

The “resurrection” = the exalting of those who will humble themselves. God has exalted Jesus and given him a name which is above every name…..and we shall be with him in his throne.

Philippians 2:7-11 KJV
(7) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
(8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
(9) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
(10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
(11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Lord baptizes us with the Holy Spirit and with fire. The “fire” is the testing of our faith once we have received the Word of Truth by the Spirit. Our departing from those who are living in error and who will not believe in the Truth will provoke a negative reaction toward those who will be escaping. We will be led by the Spirit into the “desert” away from them.

Jesus ate nothing as he was led by the Spirit into the desert.

Luke 4:1-2 KJV
(1) And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
(2) Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

We, who receive the Word of Truth in this last day, shall “fast” also.

We will cease from sin….from the “banquetings” and “excess of wine”….. that we once partook of in our churches. We will cease from living to the lusts of religious men in high places whose teachings and commandments are only after their own covetousness. We……who will cease from “eating” with them ….shall suffer “persecution” from their mouths. We are to be faithful unto the “death” as our faith shall be tested by those who will be perishing inside…..their love shall wax cold for us.

1 Peter 4:1-5 KJV
(1) Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
(2) That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

We will “fast” from our past “church” life when we lived to the will of the lusts of men…..

(3) For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

…..and they will think it “strange” that we will not run any longer with them to the “same excess of riot”. They will speak evil of us.

(4) Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
(5) Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

They will first attempt to seduce those who receive the Truth back into their “banquetings”. It will be with great swelling words of vanity…flattering those who would escape from them. We are the “stones”…..and we should not seek our own profit but others. They will seek to entice us with promises of unjust gain of His people….making “stone” into “bread”.

Luke 4:3-15 KJV
(3) And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
(4) And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

We are the “lively stones”….stones that should not be taken advantage of.

1 Peter 2:3-6 KJV
(3) If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(4) To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
(5) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
(6) Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

The workers of iniquity have no knowledge and “eat” up His people as “bread”…..and they will seek to include us in with them.

Psalms 53:4 KJV
(4) Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

As we depart from the unbelievers’ churches, let them not convince us to stay with promises of riches….gained by taking advantage of others. If sinners entice you, consent not with them…..

Proverbs 1:10-15 KJV
(10) My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
(11) If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:

Turn these stones into bread so that we may swallow them up….

(12) Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:

What profit is there if we gain the whole world but lose our soul? What will a man exchange for the Truth?

(13) We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
(14) Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:

Resist them. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Refrain the foot from their path….that is, let no deceit (no guile) come out of our mouths.

(15) My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

They will seek to seduce you back into their congregations as you escape with the Truth. What profit is there if we gain the whole world but lose our souls?

Luke 4:
(5) And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
(6) And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
(7) If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
(8) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

If any man speak to them….let them speak as the “oracles of God” so that God is glorified in all things. That is what Jesus did when he quoted Scripture in his answer to the devil. He did not speak guile…neither did he render evil for evil.

1 Peter 4:11-16 KJV
(11) If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

The “fiery trial”….the baptism of “fire”….will be by those who we will be leaving behind as they will tempt us to stay with them.

(12) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you,as though some strange thing happened unto you:

We are baptized into his “death” and we will be raised up when His glory shall be revealed in us.

(13) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
(14) If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
(15) But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
(16) Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

We will suffer according to the will of God by the “persecution” of those we will leave behind as they will seek to seduce us back. We will follow in the footsteps of Jesus as he was tempted in the desert where there were “wild beasts”. When flattering words do not work, they will resort to reviling us with evil words. But we are to guard our souls in Him and continue to do well….for the reward is far worth more than the suffering that will be endured. We are to have patience.

1 Peter 4:17-19 KJV
(17) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
(18) And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
(19) Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

The Truth shall set us free from the bondage of religious men....their commandments, traditions....their thoughts and ways. There is a "baptism" to go through.

1st Peter is very interesting. It pretty much shows us the true “baptism”….by the Spirit and the “fire”….the temptations in the “desert”.

As Peter shows us….in the knowledge of Christ…..the sanctification of our souls is by the Spirit and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ (having love for one another) if we hear attentively to what is being said (BELIEVE and DO it). We are to hear attentively the revealed Word of God.

Peter addresses the “strangers” of the “desert”……because they will be the ones who will be led out there by the Spirit where their faith in the Truth shall be tested by those they leave behind in the church. .

1 Peter 1:1-2 KJV
(1) Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangersscattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
(2) Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Our souls are purified by obeying the Truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brothers….the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ whose blood was shed because he loves us.

1 Peter 1:22-23 KJV
(22) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
(23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Not everyone in the church will believe what is being preached…..the Word of Truth. This is why the Spirit will lead us into the “desert” as we are instructed by the Spirit to not be unequally yoked together with the unbelievers in our assemblies. We, who will separate from their company, are those who will FIRST trust in Christ….in the revealed Truth…. that we will hear with our ears being preached by the Spirit in this coming time.

What communion will we have with them any longer?

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV
(14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
(15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

What “agreement” shall we have with the unbelievers any longer who will continue to live out their lives to the covetous desires of religious men in high places? Covetousness is idolatry.

(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The Spirit will lead us into the “desert” as we follow Him in His footsteps. We are to come out from among them and be separate. Leave the covetousness of religious men behind….touch not the “unclean thing”. We will not go out there in the “desert” just to start another “church” to gather fellow escapees with its covetous rules and regulations. We are to eat our own “bread” and not be “busy bodies” trying to start another work of man. Let God build His church.

(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
(18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Peter addresses us as “strangers and pilgrims”…for we will be in the “desert” as such. In the desert, Jesus was tempted by the devil. No servant is above the Master. We also shall be tempted by those who we are leaving behind but we are to resist them while pursuing peace with ALL men…friend and foe. They shall war against our souls with temptations….great, swelling words of vanity.

1 Peter 2:11-12 KJV
(11) Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

The word “devil” means “false accuser, slanderer”….and that is what the children of the devil will do as they will call us “evil doers” for no longer running with them after their church things.

(12) Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

We will depart from them and follow in Christ’s steps…for he was led into the “desert” by the Spirit. The devil as a roaring lion will walk about seeking whom he may devour with his temptations.

1 Peter 5:8-10 KJV
(8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

But we are to resist them in the faith….knowing that the same afflictions are being experienced by others who will have left their churches for the Truth.

(9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

After we have “suffered a while” with their persecutions….their temptations, He will make us perfect, establish, strengthen and settle us.

(10) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

No sin was found in the mouth of Jesus for he did not speak guile nor did he revile when he was reviled. Many shall tempt us with their words and will revile us for leaving their congregations…but we are to act according to Jesus who set the pattern for us to follow.

1 Peter 2:21-25 KJV
(21) For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
(22) Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
(23) Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatenednot; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

We are baptized in his death. We are to be “dead to sins”….dead to speaking evil in our wrath in return of their persecution. Nor are we to speak guile. No guile…no deceit shall be found in our mouths even though they will tempt us with their church riches and positions of authority to get us back.

(24) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
(25) For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

We are to be “sojourning” here in the “desert” …..passing the time in “fear” as we guard ourselves from speaking evil against the persecutors of the churches we have left behind. We are to be holy as He is holy.

1 Peter 1:15-19 KJV
(15) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
(16) Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
(17) And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

We are not redeemed with the corruptible things of religious men that we have received by the “traditions” of the church fathers that were handed down to us by them. We are redeemed with the precious blood of Christ.

(18) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
(19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

The devil had set Jesus on a “pinnacle of the temple”. This was a foreshadowing of the devil putting Christ on the cross. The devil said to him : “if thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence….”

Luke 4:9-12 KJV
(9) And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

In order for the unbelievers to believe, they will seek a sign……so that their hands may bear Him up.

(10) For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
(11) And in their hands they shall bear thee up,lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Seeking for a sign is tempting the Lord our God.

(12) And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Not coincidentally, this is also said while he was on the cross…….as they reviled him:

Matthew 27:39-44 KJV
(39) And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

“If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross”….. cast yourself down. They will seek a “sign” in order for them to believe…bearing Him up with their hands in faith.

(40) And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

The chief priests mocked him….as the church leaders will do us for following Him.

41) Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

They will seek a “sign” so that they may also believe.

(42) He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
(43) He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
(44) The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

Seeking a sign is tempting Jehovah.

Isaiah 7:10-14 KJV
(10) Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
(11) Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
(12) But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
(13) And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

The only sign that they will see is the preaching of the Word of Truth. Behold a “virgin”…that is, the tongue that speaks no guile…no deceit….shall bear a “son”….that is, the Son of God….the Word of God.

(14) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

The gospel will also be preached to the them that are “dead” also…those who will perish because they reject the Word of Truth in unbelief. This will be done so that they may be judged according to men who are living in the flesh.

1 Peter 4:4-6 KJV
(4) Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
(5) Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
(6) For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
