Disrespect and disregard, those are scars that run deep in the black community. Trayvon surely had those scars too, but now he's dead. His death being the ultimate disrespect, the ultimate disregard of what is supposed to be a basic God given right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

So when a mother of black teens tells us that she can't write about the death of Trayvon Martin we should ask "why?" Here's her reason, and they are not uncommon events she tells us of, for they are all too common, and they at times lead to tragic event such as with Trayvon Martin.

For not being able to write about that, she seems to be doing a remarkably good job of it.

I wonder how many of those people affect the behavior of those that tattoo a "13" on the back of their head.
You must have missed how it was that she wrote about her own kids.

Tattoos affecting behavior? What is it that are you reading?

I don't know. What possible connotation could "13" ink have?

You don't know what you are reading and then you want me to make a connection between a numeral and what the woman of black teen who have been and most likely will be harassed by the police in their own community has written.
Wow.
