I was just wondering your perspective on the 144,000. We know they are virgins(unassociated with the religeous system) they come from each of the 12 tribes. They are the first fruits.
We walk by faith and not by sight....
Faith comes by hearing....
John
saw the four angels.....
John
saw another angel (5th angel) rising from where the sun rose.....
Rev 22:16
I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star.
John
heard the count of those who were sealed from the angel; 144,000.....
Then John
saw a number to great to count from every nation and tribe and people and language....
Do you think this number is literal? Will many of them be martyred during the tribulatin or will they have angelic protection? Any other thoughts?
The number that John
heard from the angel (144,000) is not the same number that John
saw from every nation and tribe and people and language.....
John
heard the angel count only from the 12 tribes of Israel; 12,000 from each tribe but John
saw a number to great to count that was from every nation and tribe and people and language......
Jacob had 12 sons.....
There are 12 hours on a clock.....
There are 12 eggs packaged in a dozen, ready for purchase at the grocery store.....
In the old testament the 12 tribes of Israel were numbered.....
John heard the angel count 12,000 in each of the 12 tribes of Israel....
When those 12 tribes agree as one nation, these 12 tribes from Israel....
The moon orbits around the earth 12 times, as the earth completes one orbit around the sun......
There are 12 new moons; 12 dark moons; 12 full moons; 12 months in one year....
If a defendant is facing criminal charges, and selects a jury trial; the 12 sons of Jacob determine the verdict of the case....
If the 12 jurors agree with one verdict that the defendent is not guilty of the criminal charges, then the defendent is pronounced not guilty by the honorable court......
However if the 12 sons of Jacob can not agree on the verdict; a "mistrial" is pronounced by the judge wearing a black robe; the defendent is therefore set free.....
Will the 12 sons of Jacob ever agree on the verdict of guilt? If the 12 sons of Jacob agree, then they will be protected by the angel who sealed 144,000; 12,000 in each of the 12 tribes....
