CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

nice.... I would like to see just ONE anti-paul anti-apostle poster be even corrected let alone banned for their antics in here. This makes me sick. Make sure to know, I had nothing to do with this. My focus is the anti-Christian one law false doctrine. This issue has and continues to do vastly more damage here than a Jewish poster defending Christian tenets, and clarifying Rabbinical law.
I can not think of how he got banned, short of one persons will........

AND, will you start to enforce the reports of anti-paul/anti-apostle (anti-christian) posters? Because i'm really tired of the garbage that is flooding the main forum. You would NEVER guess this is a 'Christian' forum with all the anti-christian teaching and preaching going on in here.
Being Messianic Jew is not the polar opposite of being a Christian. There is vastly more in common that opposing. I can not wait to focus on our commonalities (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that leads us all to works of love and kindness) than our differences. The fact others see this place as a battleground to enforce their version of truth is very telling.

That's right. Yonah consistently defended doctrine that was completely in line with the forum guidelines, while others deemed be Messianic teach against them.

I think that we could start practising this in the spirit of the thread. I do, however, think that it needs to be clearly stated in the SoPs or in a sticky dealing with this one issue; not only for the members of this forum, but for our Staff's understanding as well.
I was in our Reports Forum earlier, and I can assure everyone here that it is already happening
. No worries Mark. To many of us, the anti-Paul/Christian/Church stuff is just about the worst thing anyone can say. We gave up a lot to become followers of Jesus, and for someone who is supposed to love and support the Jewish people to come up and say that Paul was a liar, the Church is evil or corrupt beyond the bounds of grace or that the NT is uninspired or less inspired than the scriptures of our old religion is just a kick in a guts. So, to us, this does become a battlefield. Sad, but true.

I hope neither you nor any other Jew leaves this forum. I need your points of view, especially if you are Orthodox or Ultra-Orthodox...

I think for many people, the concept of "no-mans-land" is more than accurate.....for within a "no-mans-land" is where there is the case that lawlessness may occur. Much as it was in accounts from the Old West/Western tales when there were towns where there was no judges or sherrifs around and people did as they pleased since no one really had it under a jurisdiction.
Some adapt to it over time and simply get used to it, learning to live with it and fight back...whereas others simply don't go get involved altogether.
For many, what was the case was that whoever was in the majority determined what was correct--even if those deemed as the "majority" were really a minority group within the MJ Movement and simply were the loudest. I've often seen it where reports were made on others who disagreed with others and those same people would have views not even in line with Mainstream Messianic Jewish organizations....

. I think that for the most part, many of the members in this forum have been reluctant to use it. From any other forum, posts like that would be reported multiple times.Staff has also taken the approach that forums can police themselves, as there are way more forums and sub-forums than there are staff. The report button is not a weapon, but a tool; please, everyone, feel free to use it (with discretion of course

Being back here we see allot more of the whole picture and I wish I could convey to you all the simple things to avoid in discussion that are thorns in the flesh of fellowship here and show you all how much you all have in common and how many of the things conveyed are not really true of the other group you have contention with- they are almost always only misnomers (myths or misunderstandings about perceived beliefs)

If this forum starts...?? Enforcing would be the proper word to focus on here. This forum has ALWAYS been of the Christian faith, residing within a Christian group. It's statements of faith and common rules have been 'Christian' since it's inception.
Yet, you barge in the doors of a faith group that you fully admit to being NOT a member of in any way, and threaten us with your removal if we start being who we have been from the beginning?
