Report: Cain sought dinner date with fifth woman - Maggie Haberman - POLITICO.com

“I couldn’t swear that he had some untoward intentions, but we all thought his tone was suspect and we didn’t feel comfortable putting him in touch with that woman,” Donella, whom the Examiner identified as an independent who voted for President Barack Obama in the last election, was quoted as saying.

She said she didn't witness any "inappropriate sexual behavior" at the group dinner. But she claimed he asked the waiter for two $400 bottles of wine, and then stiffed the rest of the group when it came time to pay.

Whoa!

The accusations keep getting more seriouser and seriouser all the time ... LOL ... and from Politico ... who saw that coming???

.

Mr. Cain is a married man. Why is he asking female reporters to dinner and not male reporters?

Maybe a male reporter who received an invitation will come forward and rescue Mr. Cain from an appearance of impropriety, here.

But it isn't just impropriety. I was just discussing JFK versus Herman Cain with a friend the other day. We agreed that the distinction appears to be that with President Kennedy, yes he cheated on his wife, but the women he chose to involve himself with, were independent women who had their own income, and did not feel obligated to accept his invitations and attentions in order to protect their own careers and incomes. And it keeps happening. He targets women who are in a position of professional obligation to him. That's evil, and it is harrassment.

If he asked only male reporters then he would be accused of discrimination against women. Seriously, if you oppose Cain then try to find some legitimate criticisms because this is utterly juvenile.

That is just ridiculously stupid. Even if it is all true it is so stupid to complain about it. This is the equivalent of people accusing Obushama of being muslim.

The dinner isn't the beginning of the problem. It's who received that invitation to dinner. It was someone who felt she should probably go ahead and accept, because she had a professional obligation to Mr. Cain (he spoke on behalf of her employer). She was deliberately targeted as someone he felt he could control. That's harrassment.

Oh, well ...

... that would account for it, wouldn't it ... and Herman Cain has absolutely no defense against it. Wow! I'm impressed. Talk about evil. That's impressive evil by those against Herman Cain.

Only thing is ... at this point in the national debate ... people really want PROOF. It's put-up or shut-up time. Oops ... was that insensitive?

Sure - you can have proof. He sealed the deal by stiffing them for his share of the bill - which would have been in excess of $800 (2 bottles of that wine plus his own food). You don't "invite" someone and then make them (or their employer) pay. That's called taking advantage of people, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican. So this entire organization, who needed Mr. Cain to help drum up interest, got taken for over $800 in addition to whatever they made the mistake of paying him. They remain silent about it because they really couldn't afford to complain, because Herman Cain was in the driver's seat. But their former employee has decided to say something about it. Good for her! (I have a feeling the restaurant will back her up if they have to, too. If he left without paying the check, they would have brought it to this woman's attention, surely, and they would have remembered that.)

I went away from my computer, but continued to think about this, and now I will say this. Mr. Cain retaliated against Donna Donella, who didn't arrange the dinner date with her pretty colleague (refused to serve as a madame in a situation that looked sleazy to her). He did this by getting her in trouble with her employer to the tune of $800+. They may have paid the restaurant bill (charged on her company charge card?) but perhaps they thought it best that she leave. Which she did, because she is a former employee. I already said this was evil, didn't I? This is what happened to a woman who said "No" to Herman Cain.

So why didn't Herman Cain simply ask Donna Donella's pretty colleague to dinner in the first place? Ah - that's what brought me back to my computer. Mr. Cain insists on having absolute control over the situation. He had control over Donna Donella (who worked for USAID, who depended on him and who expected Ms. Donella to maintain cordial relations with him as part of her job), so he figured he could compel her to procure (a third party who had no professional ties to him) for him. But Ms. Donella was truly her colleague's friend and refused to accommodate him. So Mr. Cain, as a true bully, insisted on retaliating for her refusal to procure.

The bottom line is that Mr. Cain doesn't simply cheat on his wife. He insists on seeing women who work for him or through organizations that depend on him as fair game for his own evil purposes. I used to be a Republican, and I can see myself getting turned off, simply by this dynamic, even if I liked him as a candidate because I am a woman and that could have been me. Imagine what he would do to the interns if he were President - would they even have a choice?

That is simply the new "spin" imputed by the media.

Call me skeptical. You see "proof". I see a Kangaroo Court.

I wonder how much the Democratic National Committee is paying these women to come up with these stories?

Too bad Cain wasn't caught with a White House aide and a cigar in the Oval Office. He could have gotten a free pass from the Democrats, just like Ol' Bill.

So far, two women have been willing to be publically identified. Let's see if the restaurant will tell us if Mr. Cain walked out on an $800 check, because that is the retaliation that proves the rest of it. This is a pattern of behavior he is being accused of. The last time this happened, it was Arnold Schwarzenegger, and as it turned out it was true. He admitted it, though, apologized, and won the election to become our governor here in California. But you would have to be Arnold Schwarzenegger to win elected office after being accused of this kind of pattern of behavior by multiple independent sources, and even then you have to admit it and apologize, because women voters want these kinds of issues resolved. It's a mess, made worse because Cain makes everyone a liar. That's what makes me skeptical. Someone has got to be telling the truth.

On that we agree.

Stay tuned ... for the rest of the story:
Micah 4:12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
It will flame-out soon enough ...

If you don't see any difference between sexual harassment/assault and something consensual I advice you to seek professional help.

Steve Petersen, you forgot to add "she's ugly" too, as the original way of reporting the issue by Herman Cain PAC said http://hermancainpac.com/2011/11/herman-cain-accuser-karen-kraushaar-works-for-obama-and-she%E2%80%99s-ugly/

She made legal claims of sexual harassment in 1999, which were promptly settled out of court. She has been saying Cain harassed her for the past 12 years, but since a gag order was issued she hasn't pressed it any further. Now that other women have claimed Cain has assaulted/harassed them she has come forwards. What a horrible woman, huh?

Too bad the Koch Brothers weren't backing him back then. He might have had the cash to be able to pay the check. :D

Eeww ... are those really our choices?

Looks kinda like a false dichotomy to me.
