Today I felt something inside that I've never felt before. It wasn't warm and fuzzy, it was more like a fiery inspiration. I almost burst into tears. I couldn't really process it all so I had to stop and just close my eyes. It was compassion, thanksgiving, understanding, inspiration, a sense of purpose and even guilt all at once. He gifted me this today while on a 5 hour flight. I chose to draw closer to Him rather than watch a movie on the screen in the back of the seat in front of me. I waste so much valuable time on this Earth. I cannot imagine what he would tell/show me if I worshiped him 24/7.

Sometimes I feel warm and fuzzy. Sometimes I feel chills going down my spine (good chills not ones associated with fear) and other times I cry tears of joy. Its the most amazing feeling ever, its really undescribable, we as Christians all know and feel it.

It's different for me depending on the situation. I genuinely believe God makes us aware of his presence depending on what we need for the moment. One moment in particular during my 17th year was specifically God saving me from fear brought on by a demonic manifestation in my house. The peace that came after I trusted him enough to turn my back to my room was so complete, was so awesome that I no longer fear the enemy. That peace was also accompanied by two angels that sat on my bed: one at the foot, and one at the head (no I'm not crazy. The bed physically compressed in two spots)

That moment was a spiritual battle sort of thing and the battle doesn't manifest itself everyday, thankfully.

When I feel God's presence there is a strong desire to pray and talk to him, to sing a hymn or particularly beautiful praise song, and a sense of love and joy.

While the spirit is there at those moments, I feel HIS presence most when I mourn for the state of everything, when I feel compassion, or when I get the sudden urge to do something. I felt him a couple weeks ago at a prayer meeting, and that manifested in a slight shortness of breath (like the presence of God had taken my breath away) and tears.

I've had quite a few inexplicable experiences on the topic, and they seem to range from experiences of strange happenings to full-blown esoteric visions of God. There's a great description of this in 2 Corinthians 3:18 and I highly recommend the previous passages linking this to Moses' experience on Mt. Sinai. There are also a few interesting relevant nuggets to be found in the Gospels.

I think what most people are describing is when they are full of the Holy Ghost.... maybe.
That is what I feel like WHOLE, complete. Like I could fly. Like, "It is joy unspeakable, and full of glory, or the half has never yet been told." I felt literally a fire inside of me. Sometimes, I've heard His voice. I hear it more, when I talk to Him more. I have conversations like He is there with me. It's a clear as day... although... not audible. The last thing I heard Him say, "Why do you doubt? Why are you so sad? Do you think for a moment that I lost control of the situation? Do you think I wasn't there? I said I'd never leave you. I never will. No matter what you do. Even if you sinned against me. You said you were sorry, and I forgave you. You brought it up again not I. I am God, I will not forget you."

Once I was having a nightmare... I've had them since I was little. Once, He appeared around me as a shield... and the monsters vanished.

I also feel free. Love... complete unselfishness. And such joy... this Earth could not contain the joy. If only the lost could feel that... they'd never again doubt God, or what was the truth. There's nothing like it, not in this Earth. It's not the joy of doing for others, it not the joy of self sacrifice... it's nothing at all like any of the pleasures one can enjoy. I know everyone feels like they are searching for something. "The pursuit of happiness". Well I've found it... and I'll never search again! I just tell people "THIS IS IT!" That is the only words that come to mind. It's "IT". Jesus says, that we will never thirst again! But I didn't know that until later. I think as the hymnist wrote, "My heart has been singing since that day." He loves me unlike anything on this earth, and I LOVE Him too!

This overwhelming sensation of "all is right in the world". I sob like a hurt child but the tears are of Joy and Thankfulness.

There is no other feeling, physical or emotional, that resembles it. There are no words to correctly describe it. (though I tried)

Good for you! I know many Christians that never had an in-filling of the HOLY Spirit.

Perhaps due to my very difficult upbringing, I believe the Lord has shown me special attention with His Presence. I was filled with absolute LOVE, PEACE, JOY, NO ANGER, NO FEAR, waves of love poured down over me like a waterfall, and alvalanche of love. This was when I was saved in 2000. I was also healed/delivered from an addiction to alcohol.

Everything was beautiful. All colors brighter, all sounds amplifyed in beauty (even secular music) , not a speck of discontent, only PURE love for others. Words cannot do it justice. In Heaven, there will Be NO tears! Only tears of Joy for His LOVE is unfathomable! PTL. And that was the first time. LOL...Ive had this happen a number of times. Jesus ROX!!!!

wow, what beautiful post, I am downcast in spirit tonight, thank you all for lifting me up, and reminding me of all the times the Holy Spirit anointed me with singing in tongues, crying with joy in His presence, thank you God for all your goodness, and your children that encourage!
