Even Jesus never denied OT(someone please let me know if it was not true), I feel OT and NT have big differences.
For example,
Deuteronomy 31:5 The LORD will deliver them to you, and you must do to them all that I have commanded you. 6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”

In Deuteronomy, Moses agitated the Israelites to Jericho, perhaps the biggest triumph for the Israelites.
However, in Hebrews, "be content with what you have" is written.
What a big difference!

Hebrew 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Your leaders: one of them must be Moses.

If you could find a difference between OT and NT, please let us know.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20

Who else besides Jesus Christ could be considered leader?

Maybe, Noah (Poverty), Job (Tribulation), and Daniel (Discretion)?

Peace.

Thank you, eachallberg.

I've never thought Jesus was a leader.
Not against your message, but Jesus is the ultimate goal I need to reach to, because He is the truth, without Him I never get to know.
And the Holy Spirit guides me to Him.

>Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.

Amen.
1 Corinthians 13:13
This opened my eyes by the Holy Spirit through a friend of mine.

Jesus is full of Love and truth. - John 1:14

The Old Testament is the foreshadowing of the Christ that was to come, God building up a specific group of people that he set aside to remain in the faith. The New Testament shows us the Christ who did come, lived a sinless life we could not, died on the cross in our place, arose again from the dead. From there we find out that God's plan was still set in place and now He wants this good news to be sent to all peoples.

Thank you, LilLamb219.

I think I know that, even me.
Did you give any other thought to my question?
Could you find and kind enough to let me know the difference is between OT and NT ?
I believe a deep thinker knows something about it, and I wouldn't go wrong way by getting to know accurate useful information.

God building up a specific group of people

This is an important reason for some of the differences. For example, it was forbidden to marry someone from another race in the OT, but Paul wrote, "There is neither Jew now Greek" in the NT. At first glance, one might ask why God changed His mind, but it was all part of one plan.

The fact is, the nation of Israel had to be firmly established in OT times. Intermarriage would have mixed in many other beliefs, customs, and bloodlines to the point where Israel would have had no identity. By the time Jesus came, the Jewish traditions and laws were firmly entrenched. Jesus reinforced the divinity of the OT, but brought a new perspective, and with it, the good news of the Gospel.

So now marriage between races and cultures is encouraged because we are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28 )

Let's Go to this scripture below on what Jesus himself said.

What does Jesus say in verse 18. Was not the Old Testament speaking of his coming so when he came as Immunuel which means God with us. This is the other name of Jesus.

Matt 5:17 “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.
Matt 5:18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.
Matt 5:19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Matt 5:20 “But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!

This is were the misunderstanding comes in he was not sent by the Father for us the Gentiles he was sent for the following.
Matt 15:24 Then Jesus said to the woman, “I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep—the people of Israel.”

He also instructed his disciples to do the following:

Matt 10:5 Jesus sent out the twelve apostles with these instructions: “Don’t go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans,
Matt 10:6 but only to the people of Israel—God’s lost sheep.
Matt 10:7 Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
Matt 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!

As you can see from the above scripture Jesus instructed his Apostle/disciples to not go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans. The problem is that No one has been actually taught the difference. The original Apostles/disciples were Jews and they were only to take his message to the Jews. ( but only to the people of Israel—God’s lost sheep.)

Now today you have gentiles delivering a message that isn't for us. Now God (Jesus ) did chose someone to deliver another message and this message was to all humanity.
This is the person below and he was a Jew also.
Acts 9:15 But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.
Acts 9:16 And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.”

Now is the groups that the Lord chose Saul ( Apostle Paul ) all humanity and you will notice that we as Gentiles are included first in the group.

See what Apostle Paul says here:
Gal 1:15 But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him
Gal 1:16 to reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles. When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being.
Gal 1:17 Nor did I go up to Jerusalem to consult with those who were apostles before I was. Instead, I went away into Arabia, and later I returned to the city of Damascus.

The reason I give you this is because every one has been taught that they are a part of God's Chosen People but they aren't.

You see Christians do not have human leaders. Jesus said he is our leader, Starting with the Jews first and equally to us the Gentiles.

I will show you were he first told his disciples. Now remember he was speaking to his disciples but that still applies today to both the Jews and Gentiles ( Us ).

Matt 23:8 “Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.
Matt 23:9 And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father.
Matt 23:10 And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah.
Matt 23:11 The greatest among you must be a servant.
Matt 23:12 But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Matt 23:13 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either.

Did you read Matthew 28 though? Jesus did send out his disciples in the Great Commission:

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Yes he did send them to make disciples of all the nations.
But as you can see he was sent only to the people of Israel and he instructed the 11 disciples to go only to the people of Israel. The people of Israel consisted of 12 tribes or nations in the New Testament. He never instructed them to go to the Gentiles are Kings which would have been the rest of all human beings on earth.

Matt 15:24 Then Jesus said to the woman, “I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep—the people of Israel.”

This happened after his death, burial and he had just been resurrected. And before the disciples chose another disciple to replace Judas.

Matt 28:16 Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
Matt 28:17 When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!
Matt 28:18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.
Matt 28:19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Matt 28:20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Now Saul ( Apostle Paul ) was the person whom Jesus chose after his death, burial and resurrection. The great commissions has never been completed because today there are Jews who still do not believe that Jesus Christ was who he said he was.

I will get a little of topic right now because what people have been told today is not correct and wasn't even what the Jews had to believe for their salvation when Jesus was here on earth. Jesus other name was Immanuel which means " God is with us" and the "with us " meant for the Jews only because that is whom he was sent to help as we as Gentiles did not get to know God are God didn't know us until after his death, burial and resurrection.
Below is what the Jews needed to believe in order to be saved and receive the promise of eternal life.
I will use the answer that Peter gave to him when asked a question.
Take a look at verse 16 when the disciples where asked by Jesus who did they say he was.

Matt 16:13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
Matt 16:14 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”
Matt 16:15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”
Matt 16:16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Matt 16:17 Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.
Matt 16:18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
Matt 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
Matt 16:20 Then he sternly warned the disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

from verse 16 that is all the Jews needed to believe for their salvation. Now compare that to what you have been old today which isn't what the Jews needed to believe and we as Gentiles must believe something else in order to be saved and receive the promise of eternal life.

Now I will show you who Christ chose to deliver his message to all humanity.

Acts 9:15 But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.
Acts 9:16 And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.”
Acts 9:17 So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 9:18 Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized.
Acts 9:19 Afterward he ate some food and regained his strength. Saul stayed with the believers in Damascus for a few days.

So from the above Saul ( Apostle Paul ) was chosen to take Christ message to all humanity which consisted of the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. So as you can see that we as Gentiles are under a different message which is called the gospel or good news of grace.

This is the reason people are tired of the church as you know it. I am going to show you some scripture.
In this scripture there is no more Temple for the Jews to worship God in any more.
Luke 23:44 By this time it was about noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock.
Luke 23:45 The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle.
Luke 23:46 Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.

Now below God says that we as human beings are his Temple (church) and the Spirit of God lives in us who believe a certain part of scripture not what man has told us that we need to believe.

1Cor 3:16 Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
1Cor 3:17 God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

In the Temple before it was destroyed didn't the High Priest go through the curtains to make sacrifices for the sins of the Jews. Who abided in the special place behind those curtains. God did abide there but if you will notice in the scripture above he says the Spirit of God lives in us. I mean the believers.

So in all truth there is no physical temple (church) to worship God in anymore because of what he says. If you are anybody would like to know what some one must believe in to be saved and receive the promise of eternal life. I will only show you through the scriptures so that if anyone wants to refute in they must show it through the scriptures

Jesus told the pharisees and scribes the scripture below and the same goes for today.

Matt 22:29 Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.

The reason he told them that is because they didn't believe that he was who he said he was in other words they were unbelievers.

Verse 14 shows what the people who didn''t believe that Jesus was who he said he was.
Vers 16 is what the believers, believed.

Below is a few more verses:
Matt 14:33 Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed.
Matt 27:54 The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”
John 1:49 Then Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!”
John 6:68 Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.
John 6:69 We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God.”

Below is the high priest showing that they didn't believe that Jesus was who he said he was.
Matt 26:62 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Well, aren’t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?”
Matt 26:63 But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I demand in the name of the living God—tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”

Mark 14:60 Then the high priest stood up before the others and asked Jesus, “Well, aren’t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?”
Mark 14:61 But Jesus was silent and made no reply. Then the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
Mark 14:62 Jesus said, “I AM. And you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
Mark 14:63 Then the high priest tore his clothing to show his horror and said, “Why do we need other witnesses?
Mark 14:64 You have all heard his blasphemy. What is your verdict?” “Guilty!” they all cried. “He deserves to die!”

Also Jesus did something to the didciples first so that they would understand the Scriptures because he was no longer with them and later he did the same to all the believers and today he does the same to all that are true believers.

He also says what the wisdom of man means to him.

1Cor 1:18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.
1Cor 1:19 As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”
1Cor 1:20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish.
1Cor 1:21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.
1Cor 1:22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom.
1Cor 1:23 So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.
1Cor 1:24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1Cor 1:25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.

I gave you this scripture because yoy gave me a link that some man wrote and not what God says in his word.

Thank you so much Salida for the link.
How wonderful it is!
gotquestions.org helped me a lot.

By the way, I've read in there "Is baptism necessary for salvation? What is baptismal regeneration?"

And it says, "Answer: Baptismal regeneration is the belief that a person must be baptized in order to be saved. It is our contention that baptism is an important step of obedience for a Christian, but we adamantly reject baptism as being required for salvation. We strongly believe that each and every Christian should be water baptized by immersion. "

Amen !

I will say gotquestions has a lot of misinformation and half-truths. Lutherans don't believe in consubstantiation and it says we do. In addition, it says we say that baptism is necessary for salvation (probably gathered from the Book of Concord), as much as I would agree with that, we also say that obviously it's not absolutely necessary (such as those who have no opportunity/ability to be baptized like the thief on the cross). It is not a work we do for faith, but rather God working in us.

Luther's large catechism said:
But if they say, as they are accustomed: Still Baptism is itself a work, and you say works are of no avail for salvation; what, then, becomes of faith? Answer: Yes, our works, indeed, avail nothing for salvation; Baptism, however, is not our work, but God's (for, as was stated, you must put Christ-baptism far away from a bath-keeper's baptism). God's works, however, are saving and necessary for salvation, and do not exclude, but demand, faith; for without faith they could not be apprehended. 36] For by suffering the water to be poured upon you, you have not yet received Baptism in such a manner that it benefits you anything; but it becomes beneficial to you if you have yourself baptized with the thought that this is according to God's command and ordinance, and besides in God's name, in order that you may receive in the water the promised salvation. Now, this the fist cannot do, nor the body; but the heart must believe it.

We all Christians believe in Jesus.
Whatever we Christians believe in, none dare say," God, this is what you said in the Book, so I want that exactly like it says in the Book ."
We can believe in Jesus in order to get in Heaven, however, just believe in Him may not be good enough.

Matthew7:21~23

Let's hope, none of us here that from God when we see Him.

>You aren't suggesting works are you?

Nope.
Quite opposite.
If you think even without doing it, I believe Jesus knows it.
So, you don't need to show Him.
If someone shows to show off, then Jesus knows his/her heart.

The motivation of belief is the most important thing to believe in Jesus.
What is the motivation?
To be saved?
To enter Heaven?

To me, Jesus is love and truth.
Love is all the goodness against the bad and evil.
And truth is only one truth.
That's all I know about Jesus from the Book, so far.
