  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

NO, there is no interest on my end lol. He's got to work to prove that he's not just desperate or rebounding or settling for 2nd best, etc etc. And if he thinks he's gonna get a date out of me, he's nuts. I told him we could TRY being friends, and that's exactly what I meant lol. He said he's happy with that, so we'll see. If he keeps pushing me for a date, I'll know he's not sincere. If we become friends, and then an interest forms, then we'll go from there. But I seriously doubt that's going to happen. I'll keep you posted, though :D

Have you ever had people try to push you and your friend into going out together? During my trip, my roommate said "Aww I think you and x would make a good couple" to which i replied "We are just friends, I do not see him in that way". 10 minutes later we are in the lobby and she comes up to me and x and ask how he is and then pushes us together and says "You two would make a good couple". It wasn't awkward even though my friend was embarrassed, I just found it slightly annoying!
