Matthew 26:47 (KJV) And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Matthew 26:50 (KJV) And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
Matthew 26:54 (KJV) But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Matthew 26:56 (KJV) But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. (**Then all the disciples forsook him**), and fled.

Matthew 27:3-4 (KJV) Mt 3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, (**repented himself**), and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 Saying, (**I have sinned**) in that (**I have betrayed "the" innocent blood.**) And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Based on those verses above i believe Judas went to Heaven! Judas had no other choice, but to play the "role" the Almighty Author of the Play had wrote ino His Story ,and was chosen to play!! As also Peter who had just "denied Him 3 times brfore the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crowed just as the "Author" of the Play, had Prescribed for him! Plus "all of His disciples forsook Him"!!

Plus Judas wasn't given the opertunity to "see" the risen Lord on Sunday,as Peter! Who blatantly denied Him 3x in a row!! After telling the Lord he was willing to die with him, and cuting off one of the soldiers' ear's! But Judas repent's, and confessess with great conviction his sin, saying" I have betrayed ("the")innocent blood"! Showing that he truly believed in Jesus as his Messiah, before Jesus had actually proven it for 100% sure after His resurrection!! Plus it was actually Satan who entered Judas's heart :Luke 22:3 (KJV) Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. John 13:26-27 (KJV) Jn 26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 And after the sop (**Satan entered into him.**) Then said Jesus unto (**him**), That thou doest, do quickly.
i believe this is Jesus Speaking to Satan in the spiritual Realm!

John 13:30 (KJV) He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.
"the power of Satan drove Judas "immediately" out!! by the Command of Jesus Christ the Son of Almighty God!! They're is really no other "choice" in the matter for poor "Judas" the "man"!! unless he actaully was, litterally the son of the devil the whole time!! But i am pretty much sure that satan would never have repented and felt remorse for what he had done!! I looked forward to seeing what you guys, and girls think about these thing's!!

Interesting post. I don't know if I ever thought about it in that light. Some of the Fathers like St Chrysostom who comment on that say that it wasn't a proper form of repentance though. In other words maybe he was really sad that he did that and it brought him a lot of anguish, he wished that he didn't do it, etc. but he never actually turned twoards God.

Based on those verses above i believe Judas went to Heaven!

I don't know if its good to speculate about that though. The Bible doesn't explicitly lay out that he went to heaven or hell. You could probably find verses to speculate either way.

Judas had no other choice, but to play the "role" the Almighty Author of the Play had wrote ino His Story

I have to disagree with that.

Prophecies are only a prediction of something, not a overtaking of a person's will forcing them to fulfill it. Judas's decision to betray Christ was his own, and his decision to end his life was his own. There were many attempts to arrest Jesus, but Jesus did not let himself be arrested yet because it was not his time. Had Judas not betrayed Jesus then Jesus could have easily been arrested in some other way.

This is only speculation, but it very likely that Judas thought that the Messiah had come to free the Jews from the Romans, as did many of the Jews. As a result, when Jesus started telling the disciples about his upcoming crucifixion, Judas became concerned that Jesus wasn't focusing on overthrowing the Romans. Judas tried to get Jesus to focus on what he thought Jesus was supposed to be doing, which was freeing Israel from the Romans, by forcing a confrontation. However, after seeing that Jesus made no attempt to resist, and no attempt to organize troops, Judas realized he had made a mistake and felt guilty.

Like many Jews at that time, and even many Jews today, Judas was so obsessed with looking for a physical kingdom to be established that he missed out on the spiritual kingdom that Christ established. Even with all that time he spent with Jesus, he still refused to listen to what Jesus had to say. His betrayal of Jesus and subsequent suicide prove beyond any doubt that he was not saved and did not go to Heaven.

I don't think Judas went to heaven. God can forgive anything, but ("I don't think Judas did enough") to indicate that he obtained forgiveness and that God made him a Christian.

Luke 23:39-43 (KJV) Lk 39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. 40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

He certianly did more than this thief on the cross!

Judas went to his own place acts 1:25

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

Reading Jesus words of Judas, I do not believe his own place is in Glory with the redeemed, for Jesus says of him Matt 26:24

The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Yeah, i agree! But it just doesn't seem fair from my human point-of-view. Why he didnt get the chance to see the risen Saviour as the other disciples !

He had more opportunity than most of us, but Judas chose not to repent and he chose to kill himself.

Judas just was not an elect, a sheep for whom Christ died. If Christ would have died for his sins, then not one sin could have condemned him to woe.

Did Judas go to heaven?

I think not.

"...woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born." -Mt. 26:24 (KJV)

The longer i think about the reality of hell, and it being forever, and not just as a doctrine! Being diagnosed Bi-polar ,and suffering from the mental anguish that it can sometimes cause; throughout mylife! Where just making it through the next "minute" can "seem" like an "eternity!!" i use to be quick an hasty to say this person or that person was going to hell if they did not believe in Jesus as their Saviour, which is true! But still when i actually put myself in the shoes of one who is in hell! It scares the "living hell" right out of me; and i no longer wish it upon no one, even as someone such as Hitler!!
