I came across this and thought you might enjoy it, especially for a good Shabbat study this Shabbat Shuvah.

This is a two hour show (in two YouTube videos) that shows the interview of these two men, one an Orthodox Kairite Jew and a Christian minister. It is quite an interesting story and worth watching.

Light of the Southwest interview

Also newly released for Yom Teruah A reason to shout:

His Hallowed Name revealed again

You can even download the first chapter and start reading right away.

Here is a beautiful rendition with the background of Israel, you must listen to it!

YouTube - The Lord's Prayer in Hebrew by Andrew Hodkinson

Here are the words so you can sing along with it.

avee-noo she-ba-sha-mai-yeem, yeet-ka-desh sheem-cha, ve-yeet-ba-rech mal-choot-cha,
re-tson-cha yee-h'-ye a-sui ba-sha-mai-yeem oo-va-a-rets,
ve-tee-ten lach-me-noo te-mee-deet,
oo-me-chol la-noo cha-to-tay-noo ka-a-sher
a-nach-noo mo-cha-leem la-chot-teem la-noo,
ve-al te-vee-ay-noo lee-day nees-sa-yon,
ve-shom-ray-noo mee-kol rah, a-men.

This man Andrew, If I remember correctly from the video was from South Africa and after he heard it in Hebrew only once went and wrote the music to this and sent it to the Authors. I think it's beautiful, I hope you do too.

Lulav,
That was a beautiful song!!
Now can you translate it into English? Also, do you know where I might purchase an MP3 download of it?

Shalom yedida,

If you go to this link Light of the Southwest interview

It gives much information on this as well as how this song came to be recorded.

avee-noo she-ba-sha-mai-yeem,
Our Father, In heaven

yeet-ka-desh sheem-cha,
May your name be sanctified

ve-yeet-ba-rech mal-choot-cha,
May your Kingdom be blessed

re-tson-cha yee-h'-ye a-sui ba-sha-mai-yeem oo-va-a-rets,
Your will shall be done on in heaven and earth

ve-tee-ten lach-me-noo te-mee-deet,
Give us our bread continually

oo-me-chol la-noo cha-to-tay-noo ka-a-sher a-nach-noo mo-cha-leem la-chot-teem la-noo,
Forgive us the debt of our sins, as we forgive the debt of those who sin against us

ve-al te-vee-ay-noo lee-day nees-sa-yon,
do not bring us in to the hands of a test

ve-shom-ray-noo mee-kol rah, a-men.
And protect us from all evil, Amein
