Of course. Jesus prayed that the Church be One. Personally, I think he meant one in reality rather than in the abstract sense we have today.Including the Protestants?![]()

Personally, and Biblically, I believe He meant one in Spirit.Of course. Jesus prayed that the Church be One. Personally, I think he meant one in reality rather than in the abstract sense we have today.
How would your Denomination, EO's and Protestants define that?Of course. Jesus prayed that the Church be One. Personally, I think he meant one in reality rather than in the abstract sense we have today.

I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. (John 17:2021, NASB95)Personally, and Biblically, I believe He meant one in Spirit.
John 17:11
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Unity in belief. Diversity in practice. That is how it was in the beginning. How would your Denomination, EO's and Protestants define that?
Another words, how do we all become ONE?![]()
And that is how it is still today, isn't it?Unity in belief. Diversity in practice. That is how it was in the beginning.
1 Corinthians 12:13““I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. ” (John 17:20–21, NASB95)
One in spirit doesn't live up to Jesus' prayer.
Unity in belief. Diversity in practice. That is how it was in the beginning.
1 Corinthians 1:26-28One in spirit while we disagree and fight about everything makes Jesus look stupid to the world.
Then what would be left to discuss on the GT board [what one RC called the "General Heresy" board]*snip*

ROFL!Then what would be left to discuss on the GT board [what one RC called the "General Heresy" board]![]()

Ok, what is sauce for the goose........List errors and inventions/traditions invented by the Papacy aka Roman catholicism.![]()
One of mine would be the way Roman catholicism looks at the eucharist.
LLOJ [still waits on chopsticks]
I guess it's a crime to actually read the official teaching of the Church rather than rely on what Fr. Billy Bob said 30 years ago.I could list a dozen . But , what's the use . You can have 10 people who were born and raised Catholic with 12 or more years of Catholic education give a list of things that Catholicism taught them . Then 10 people with a few years as Catholics each say that not a single thing on any of the lists is true .
Then , the thread goes on for a while . After it dies out - a while later - another thread pops up .

catholics always assume we do not read their official documents or the vatican website.
BTW, is you denomination in the habit of sending dumb hick priests to churches...that is what you just implied.
Ahhh......that reminds meNaw there just for the Evangelical Fundamentalist except their called Pastors![]()
They obviously don't based upon the plethora of strawman arguments that are posted every day.catholics always assume we do not read their official documents or the vatican website.
Some Priests and Bishops exceed their appointed authority and teach outside the faith. Is that a surprise? Look at Notre Dame.BTW, is you denomination in the habit of sending dumb hick priests to churches...that is what you just implied.
